Deviant: No Longer Human

Chapter 545: Stressed!

At the same time, there were no romantic feelings involved — It wasn't love or desire between man and woman.

It was something Eveline had taught them: whether they had a partner or not, whether they were married or not, if he asked, they had to comply. Their willingness was irrelevant—it was part of their duty as his daughters.

It always struck Wang Xiao as odd, almost unnatural. But then again, Eveline was a product of the ancient Greek era, and her upbringing—and by extension, her daughters'—was filled with strange, twisted ways.

She had trained them meticulously, preparing them for the possibility that Wang Xiao might one day force himself on them.

They had been taught how to endure it, how to handle the situation without resistance.

At first, Wang Xiao couldn't fathom why Eveline had gone to such extremes.

But after discovering her past—how she had been Zeus's daughter, and how Aurora had once rescued her when Zeus tried to force himself on her—it became clearer.

Eveline carried that trauma with her, and in her own warped way, she had ensured her daughters were prepared for any similar fate, making sure the cycle didn't repeat.

In a bizarre sense, she had succeeded.

Maybe Wang Xiao could have been tempted by them at some point. After all, each of them was breathtakingly beautiful. They carried his divinity, their auras glowing with a transcendent light that set them apart from ordinary women.

Their cultivation was flawless, flowing without bottlenecks, different from mortals.

The divine aura combined with Eveline's already ethereal beauty made each of them look like living, breathing goddesses, like blooming flowers, in a flower garden.

Frganant and soft!

Whenever Wang Xiao entered their palace, they would surround him, their soft, fragrant bodies pressing against his. So many beautiful faces, so many delicate hands reaching for him, so many sweet voices ringing in his ears...

He found it hard not to be tempted, not to give in to the warmth and seduction.

But after that fateful incident, where their actions nearly tore his family apart, he had no choice but to imprison them. Now, he preferred not to see their faces at all, the memories of their betrayal too fresh, too painful.

In fact, Wang Xiao knew they weren't entirely responsible. The mastermind behind everything was Eveline, but that didn't absolve the sisters of their involvement.

The fact that they had gone along with the plot still weighed heavily on them.

Their eldest sister had seen through all of Eveline's schemes, understanding that the peace between Eveline and Wang Xiao was only surface deep. She had refused to participate in whatever plan they had been cooking up.

But then again, she was the odd one out.

Wang Xiao would have much preferred it if all of Eveline's sisters had been like her—strange, but not dangerous. Instead, he had to deal with the cold, ruthless killer standing before him.

Ji Xuehong blinked her emotionless eyes, her voice flat, "Elder sister said the only way for you to accept us is if we don't exist."

Wang Xiao's face darkened. What the hell was that girl teaching them?

Ji Xuehong continued without a hint of emotion, "Lord Father, I've already changed my name. I'm no longer Fiona Whitehall. She doesn't exist anymore. She's dead. I killed her."

Wang Xiao rubbed his temples. "..."

Good lord, someone save him.

"How?" Wang Xiao asked, trying to grasp the logic. "How can you just change your name and pretend to kill your old self?"

Ji Xuehong blinked again, her hand twitching as a gleaming black sword appeared in her grip, its blade oozing with dark miasma. Without hesitation, she placed the tip against her chest, piercing through her armor. "Like this..."

"Enough," Wang Xiao ordered sharply, halting her before she could push it further.

Ji Xuehong stopped, looking at him blankly. She had only been about to demonstrate how she had "killed" Fiona, so why stop her?

Wang Xiao sighed heavily, his headache growing worse. She had immense power, but her mind was so painfully simple. After spending so much time focused on warfare and killing, she had completely lost touch with normal human interactions.

And then, of course, there was the fact that they had all been imprisoned for so long, their teenage years spent in darkness. Mentally, they were still stuck in that state—young girls, not fully grown adults.

"So, who's going to become the new Guardian of Europe between the two of you?" Renji's voice broke through the tense atmosphere, clearly uninterested in their family drama.

He didn't have time to waste on personal squabbles. Both of them—Wang Xiao and Ji Xuehong—were dangerous, and his own plans hadn't even reached their peak yet. He needed to live long enough to see it through.

"Him." Ji Xuehong answered, pointing at Wang Xiao with her usual lack of emotion.

Wang Xiao glanced at her, narrowing his eyes as he observed her for a second before turning back to Renji. "Announce her as my proxy and me as the Guardian, but she'll act as Guardian in my place."

Ji Xuehong remained silent, not showing any reaction. She was fine with whatever arrangement he made.

"Noted," Renji replied curtly. "Now, I'll be leaving. I have other matters to attend to in Japan." As he stood up, his fingers dissolved into mist, disappearing into a small black hole that soon vanished along with him.

Ji Xuehong didn't take her eyes off him until he was completely gone, her body tense, her gaze deadly. The moment he used his aura, she was on high alert. Only when he was fully out of sight did her vigilance fade.

"Lord Father!" she said, looking at Wang Xiao. He, in turn, gestured for Zhao Lian to get off his lap. There was no one left to see her exposed body, and he told her to get dressed.

Yuzuki stepped forward to guide Zhao Lian, and though Zhao Lian didn't like her, she followed. Liu Yanmei, meanwhile, looked awkward, unsure whether to ask for leave or remain silent, so she stayed.

Wang Xiao turned his attention back to Ji Xuehong. "From this moment on, you will not kill anyone related to me, except for my enemies," he commanded firmly.

Ji Xuehong nodded seriously, as though she was mentally etching it into her brain. "Including Wenxi and Yue?" she asked with genuine curiosity.

"Yes, including them," Wang Xiao confirmed.

"Then, you'll spend more time with me." Ji Xuehong blinked innocently, as if the request was the most natural thing in the world.

Wang Xiao's face twitched. "I don't have time for that. If you need me, find me."

"Mother told me not to find you when you're with other women, but you're always with other women," she said matter-of-factly, her tone as innocent as ever.

Wang Xiao's face darkened. 'Eveline...' She truly hadn't left any stone unturned with her teachings.

"Forget what she said," he grumbled.

"Okay." Ji Xuehong agreed without hesitation.

Looking at her, Wang Xiao hesitated before adding, "Also, I need you to get signatures from everyone you've tried to kill before—Wenxi, Yue, and the rest—saying they're okay with you being out of punishment."

Ji Xuehong nodded. "Okay."

She turned to leave but paused, as if remembering something important. "I can still beat them as long as they are not dead, right?" she asked, her expression innocent but curious.

Wang Xiao's face twisted in frustration. "No killing, no beating, and no cursing either!" he clarified.

Ji Xuehong looked as if he had just overwhelmed her with too much information at once. Without a word, she pulled out a piece of paper and began writing down the instructions.

Once she was done, she tucked it away and left.

Wang Xiao, now alone, could only pray that his Little cotton ball wouldn't faint the moment she saw Fiona walking around freely again.
