Chapter 94 Daring Attitude Of His Soldiers
"Timing..." Hisha chuckled. "Any late and you might have been the first to experience the purge."
Pesa gulped and looked down at their feet.
She was pushed up against the wall and lifted with ease. Her hands placed on his shoulder and legs involuntarily wrapped around his waist, she stared into Hisha's eyes in confusion.
"My lord, what is going on?" She said with a huff.
"You did plan on seducing me, right?" Hisha replied with a grin and wiggle of his brows, "well, I have to say, you are doing an excellent job only if you had a pure mind to this."
Releasing her after carefully setting her back on the floor, he smiled and took several steps back.
"If you keep your part of the deal, I will keep mine." He finalized and turned his attention towards the door.
Holding onto the door handle, he winked in her direction. "It's best you try not to attract attention to yourself or that of your rivals, remember you have no ability until you are called to step into the inner walls of the arena."
Opening the door slightly, he gave a nod of acknowledgment and locked it behind him.
Dropping to her knees, Pesa let out a sigh of relief at finally being left alone. The rush of adrenaline gotten from the current experience had her questioning her motives.
'Who is truly on my side?' She wondered, pondering over the fact she had been this way all because of a message gotten from those mysterious people.

Walking down the hallway, Hisha was light on his feet, heading towards the soldiers' quarters.
[This could have been done by Kritz]
'I know, yet I chose to do this myself. If they see me, they will intensify their search.' Hisha scoffed and shoved his hand into his pocket.
[Intensify their search for the impossible]
HTC countered once more, giving a displeased emoji.
'How many times do we have to go over this again?! They will with a little help.' Hisha had a smirk and turned to his left.
[Sure, you are the one with the points anyways, if you don't get more from tournaments or rare tasks, your efforts would be as good as useless, host]
'Are you wishing I fell into that category?' Hisha paused and stared at the user interface.
[...]
Holding onto a pillar, he looked down the pathway and was slightly disturbed by the dilapidated environment just 3 meters away from the soldiers' quarters.
'What are my funds used for?' Hisha raged at the condition before him.
Holding onto one of the pillars made him realize how weak of a structure the soldiers' quarters were constructed underneath.
Following the trail of cracks on the pillar towards the decked floor, he took a step back and gritted his teeth.
'That's a trap ready to bury them.' He observed.
Looking behind him, he could notice that there was no structure built, and was nothing more than an empty hallway.
'Who the heck staged this? Why are they in such bad conditions?!' Hisha channeled a bit of his Sux through the cracks.
Gradually the cracks closed up and the tiny rubbles that dropped occasionally stopped.
[50 Sux exhausted]
Stepping on the walking path, a surrounding green Sux spread in a circular motion around him, dispersing into specks of light particles.
The once moldy green walls began to gain their color once more. Plants climbed on the walls and grew flowers to decorate the sides and spiraled around the pillars.
[150 Sux exhausted]
Calling on his status, he needed to be sure of his Sux.

'It did increase, excluding the one I had used.' Hisha commented with a smile.
[All you needed was rest and away from the activity to replenish]
Before he could take another step forward, he heard a click from the door a few feets away from him.
Stepping out were all the soldiers in their thick padded armor gambeson sca larp aketon navy blue coat.
They all looked alarmed and ready to face the threat outside, drawing out their swords, axes, and spears laced with their respective Suxs.
Whoosh!
Whoosh!
Hisha weaved to the left, and slapped the rest on his right, just in time for the spears on the left to impale the pillar and the ones on the left sent flying into the air.
Using the knowledge he had gotten from his duel with Yoru's minion, he dispelled the Sux on the spear before any lasting damage could be done to the pillars he had just repaired.
Hisha raised a brow at the gesture, looking back at the soldiers standing on their guard and waiting for him to step out of the shadows.
[They are alert]
'So what?' Hisha countered, a smile gracing his lips.
A part of him wanted to stay in the shadows, pretending to be a powerful opponent and cause some mischief, another wanted to brag and reveal himself so he could see them realize their mistake and bow to his presence.
"Step out of the shadows, intruder!" One of the soldiers yelled out in a deep voice.
Swinging his scythe around, he glared into the distance, "you have ten seconds!"
Hisha's grin only broadened at the dare, suddenly overwhelmed with adrenaline.
'How strong do you think these soldiers are in comparison to guards or Kritz?'
[They are the strongest in all the land and by far the most experienced in combat.
The guards are lower in ranking and attack power...]
Hisha furrowed his brows at the pause in explanation, he needed to be certain of their skill in comparison to Kritz to know how well he would enjoy a duel or just give up the cause so he wouldn't cripple his forces.
'You're doing this on purpose again, aren't you?'
[Is it worth comparing them with your strongest ally and ASSISTANT?!]
If words could scream, Hisha could feel the intensity in HTC's words.
'Sheesh, I get it.' Hisha rolled his eyes and decided to go against his original plan for a duel.
Before he could step out, an arrow was shot closely in front of his boot.
'Really? Wasn't I told to step out?!' Hisha let out a subtle chuckle, amused by the daring attitude of his soldiers.
Coming out of the shadows fully, Hisha took a good look at the soldiers. "Is it wrong to personally visit the brawns of my citadel?"
"Lord Hisha!" They all chorused with a hint of fear as they all went on one knee, bowing their heads in reverence.
Clearing his throat, the very one who had challenged him to step forward with his scythe decided to speak up for his comrades.
"If it pleases my lord," he began and looked up towards the rest who nodded their heads at his willingness to go through with the lead.
"You may speak." Hisha acknowledged with a nod.
"Our premises suddenly changed more than what we had imagined it to be, it had alerted us to the fact that an external force had a hand in it."
Hisha stifled a laugh, knowing that he had sacrificed a fraction of his Sux to help with the dilapidated area.
"Our room suddenly turned luxurious." A redhead soldier blurted out in astonishment.
Bam!
Another hit him on the head and was quick to glare at him.
Watching all play out before him, Hisha could tell that they were all hiding their condition and were merely made to believe he knew about it.
"But it's true." The redhead continued with his protest of the others shutting him up.
"How do you all like your new setting?" Hisha complimented with a smile.
With all sharing a knowing look, they nodded their heads before speaking in a chorus. "It feels habitable for once."
Their words brought a smile to his face, even though that wasn't his original plan for visiting their quarters, he wasn't going to let this stop him from investigating.
'Who is in charge of this place?' He questioned HTC, hoping to get a favorable response from his system.
[Was, host. It should be 'was']
Internally facepalming, all he needed was a name and not the identification of the tense.
'A name would suffice.' Hisha snorted, rolling his eyes.
[Name: Rean Dru]
[Height: 175cm]
[Position: Warlord]
[Status: Dead]
[Description: A male, having messy green hair with bangs hanging right under his chin, wore a sleeveless black overcoat seamed with gold hemlines over a leafy green robe with a black collar and sash. Black pants and a pair of dark brown boots overlaid with criss-cross patterned black ribbons]
[Does that ring any bells?]
HTC retorted with a ringing sound that continued afterward.
