The Extra’s Survival: Logging into the Game Master System!

Chapter 28: [Do what you can!]

-Allows the user to Mark 5 movable targets!

-Shows partial information about the marked movable targets!]

For the next few hours, I went on my own trying to increase the area of my gift. While it increased the experience, it also increased the area I can monitor in the tutorial.

"This looks fine," I thought observing the [Gift]. If it was this good at this low level, I think I can expect more good things from this [Gift] as time passes.

Though given the map was only 5 miles in radius, I doubt I can increase the grade in this level again.

-Drizzle! Drizzle! Drizzle!

The rain however didn't stop at all. With my increased [Perception!] There was no problem in traveling through the rain, but still it was another thing to fight the monsters.

While my efficiency was halved, theirs remained the same. The only good thing out of it was that the quality and the quantity of the monsters was the same as before.

[GM Points: 23,430!]

[Points: 664,871!]

"It's good and all but is this it?" I complained a little. Partially because I was getting bored with monster hunting, and partially because there was no lead to the [Chief of the Lost Tribe] and neither to that artifact that the hidden quest was talking about.

I did talk with the NPC, and they did tell me a lot of things but it was mostly related to the south forest which was restricted for the players to move about.

So I did what I thought was the next best thing I can do, that was to move to the nearest dungeon. But as luck would have it, the other two dungeons were cleared before I could reach them. Pity.

Finally I went to do the most obvious thing I can right now, that is to increase the experience of my gift. Given the limited area the max I could have done was upto Grade-5, so I did that and a bit more.

"What should I do now?" I thought as I looked at my status and the gift, then at the GM points I had. At first I thought of creating a skill but then I had another idea.

"You there?" I called that white goblin out and the asked him to open the [Shop], before I selected

[Mana Enhancement Serum!

-Increases Mana Regeneration by 100%!

-Increases Mana by 1000

-Increases Intelligence by 100

Cost: 500,000 Points!]

I honestly don't need mana, yet. But if I am taking the path to create maps out of thin air containing structures of all kinds, I am 100% going to need a heavy amount of mana in the future.

'There is nothing wrong with preparing for it in advance,' with that line of thought I then bought it. And just like previously, I began making some changes to make use of the GM Points.

Though unlike last time, I was going to use at least 10,000 GM points for it. Even 20,000 if I can find something that gives me an equal value or higher.

Sitting down on the sofa of one of the shops on the second floor of a cafe, I then began finding the right proportion. The perfect combination.

"This is bad."

"Oh! Maybe…"

"Hmmm. It can still be better…"

"Something else…"

"Nah! I can do better than this… "

Seconds turned into minutes, and then hours passed. And finally when I was done, the night came. Even though I wasted the entire afternoon and the evening, I wasn't dejected even a single bit.

[Would you like to create the following changes for 21,432 GM Points?]

Took more than 50 restrictions but it worked out just fine. Though it was a little costly, the effects were increased quite a lot.

I was about to drink but then I wondered what would happen if I were to pass out? Even though there was nothing mentioned like that, it was a dreadful thought given the place I was. So before I drank the liquid, I began placing all the furniture near the gate.

There was only one entrance so I placed everything I could, blocking the entrance of the door. I even used 500 GM points, enforcing the gate before I believed it was more or less safe now.

And then…

"Here goes nothing," I took a deep breath and gulped that serum, before a dirty mud taste appeared in my mouth. I felt like I was drinking an expired chemical that had been thrown in the mud.

Reflexively I was about to vomit, but then using all my will power, I covered my mouth and gulped the entire liquid back in.

And a few seconds later…

"FUUUUUUUUUCKKKKKK!!!!!"

My insides were burning, while my body felt like it was on a frying pan. Tears ran out like water fall while I started screaming as loud as I could.

The rain outside continued, so I wasn't exactly worried about anyone hearing me. But even if I that wasn't the case, I doubt I could have done anything about it.

The only thing I was happy about was the fact that I had put effort in blocking the door. And that was the last thought I had before I lost the battle of will, and lost my consciousness.
