A Chaotic World

Chapter 195: Unstoppable

Chapter 195: Unstoppable

The old man was planning for Lu Tianzi to fall to his pincer trap, but little did he know that Lu Tianzi was already well aware of what's coming.

After all, Lu Tianzi's current perception was by no means inferior when compared to that of a true Origin Core realm martial artist.

Despite having to constantly evade the barrage of arrows that came from above, Lu Tianzi still managed to notice the defence team that was currently heading in his direction.

And this pincer attack was made even more obvious after Lu Tianzi escaped the boundaries of the camp. By then, he could already see a large group of soldiers heading straight for him from afar.

Now that he had delayed for this long, there was no longer any ways for him to avoid the pincer attack.

But so what if that was the case?

Lu Tianzi had not reacted to the incoming trap only because he did not see the need to do so.

A bunch of ordinary Essence Condensation realm martial artists why would Lu Tianzi need to be afraid of them?

Break through from the front!

Lu Tianzi erupted with his top speed, no longer weaving around in evasion.

Just like that, he left the unprepared old man in the dust, pulling apart the distance between them in an instant.

"What?" the old man could not help but blurt out in shock.

To think that Lu Tianzi had been holding back all along!

Apart from his cultivation level, was there any part about him that was even remotely similar to that of an Essence Condensation realm martial artist?

In the few moments that the old man was lost in thought, Lu Tianzi's figure appeared in front of the defence team.

Sword light flashed.

After the initial shock, Lu Tianzi's target desperately tried to defend himself, but Lu Tianzi was simply too fast for him.

Slash-!

The Sword of Ivory Rock moved in a blur as it claimed its first victim, slashing open the poor soldier's throat.

And he did not stop there.

The Torrential Sabre and the Sword of Ivory Rock moved in tandem, claiming life after life as Lu Tianzi's lone figure pierced straight through the defence team, just like a hot knife through butter.

Not a single person was able to slow him down.

Even though they had already seen their fair share of deaths by now, everyone in the returning defence team could not help but feel a sense of fear building up within their hearts as they watched their comrades fall like flies.

If things go on like this, it would be their turn sooner or later!

And when the time comes, would their fates be any different from those before them?

Unlikely.

They were not nearly nave enough to believe that they were anything special.

"What are you idiots doing?!" the old man bellowed in rage as he saw the scene of carnage unfold before him.

Why were his own Essence Condensation realm soldiers so inferior when compared to that brat from the Scarlet Moon Army?

How exasperating!

It seemed like he had no choice but to depend on himself after all!

"Back away from him!" the old man yelled out once more.

The defence team did not need to be told twice. They were more than happy to get away from this monster!

With a wave of his hand, the old man once again summoned tall white walls that rose up around them, imprisoning Lu Tianzi, as well as some of the returning defence team members who had been too slow to escape.

However, the old man had no interest in slowing down for the sake of these stragglers.

After seeing what Lu Tianzi was capable of, in the old man's heart, the value of Lu Tianzi had now risen to a level that was far higher than the entire defence team combined.

Even if he had to sacrifice the entire defence team in order to take down Lu Tianzi, he would not hesitate to do so!

Otherwise, if Lu Tianzi managed to escape, he would only become stronger in the future. Given enough time, he might even grow to become an existence that could pose substantial threat to the entire Dragon Cauldron Kingdom!

And the best way to prevent that from happening would be to get rid of him now when he was still young!

Lu Tianzi was fighting halfway when the defence team suddenly backed away from him.

The white walls appeared once again. Only that this time, after the appearance of the white walls, a huge shadow was suddenly cast upon the entire area that was enclosed within the white walls.

Lu Tianzi looked up, and his eyes narrowed immediately.

Up in the air, countless white arrows had materialised, blocking out the entire sky. Each one of these arrows was pointing downwards, aiming directly at the ground below.

If these arrows were to fall simultaneously, there would simply be nowhere to run within the white walls!

Lu Tianzi immediately looked around, only to see that he was currently too far away from the walls to escape in time.

He should be able to reach the walls before the arrows landed. But if he had to pause for a moment to blast a hole through the white walls, then he would never be able to make it.

"Die!" The old man gave a wave of his hand, and the white arrows shot downwards in unison.

"Senior! Please have mercy!" some of the stragglers from the returning defence team called out in despair.

They were none other than those who had been trapped in the white walls along with Lu Tianzi. Seeing the apocalyptic scene that was about to be unleashed upon them, they no longer cared about Lu Tianzi. All they wanted was to keep their own life!

However, just like how they no longer cared about Lu Tianzi, the old man cared not about them either.

His thoughts were now focused on getting rid of Lu Tianzi, and sacrificing a few of them in the process mattered not to him.

Boom-! Boom-!

Loud explosions sounded out as a huge cloud of white smoke rose up from within the white walls, shrouding over the entire area.

The old man let out a sinister grin as he watched from above.

Finally got you!

Up till now, Lu Tianzi had been able to dodge around so well that the old man had not been able to truly pin him down with the white arrows. As for the few arrows that were on target, Lu Tianzi had been able to fend them off.

But things were not going to be so easy for him this time.

After all, each white arrow would create an explosion that affected a small area around upon contact.

Even if Lu Tianzi was able to defend against the white arrows that were falling directly onto him, he would have to put in quite a bit of effort in doing so. Having to focus on that, surely there was no way for him to avoid the explosions that came from the side!

With all the arrows falling in unison, resulting in one big explosion, he would finally be able to take down this monstrous pest!

Wait a minute

One big explosion?

The old man's countenance froze as he thought back to just a few moments ago.

There was no doubt about it. He really did hear the sound of two different explosions occurring.

Even though the time difference was almost negligible, his senses as an Origin Core realm martial artist were more than capable of picking it up.

Why?

The old man stopped relaxing and focused his attention towards the situation on the ground. It was then that he finally noticed a commotion outside of the white walls.

It was that pest!

He was already outside of the white walls, and to top it all off, he seemed to be completely fine!

How was that possible?!

Could it be that this guy was actually some supremely powerful expert who had disguised as an Essence Condensation realm martial artist?

No, if that was the case, then the old man's life would have been forfeit a long time ago.

But other than that, the old man simply could not think of how Lu Tianzi could have escaped unscathed!

Of course, that was only because Lu Tianzi had not revealed all of his tricks to the old man earlier.

All that the old man knew about him was that he had an extremely high attainment in both his movement technique, as well as his dual wield sword and sabre techniques, reaching a level that far exceeded that of an ordinary Essence Condensation realm martial artist.

How would he know that apart from that, Lu Tianzi still had a high level eye technique that had touched upon the power of space?

After Lu Tianzi received the jade token from his master that aided him in comprehending the power of space, he had practised diligently, causing his control over the Limitless Mirror Eye to improve by leaps and bounds.

Compared to back when he battled against Beihua Wanlei in the Lightning Crow Sect Grounds, his usage of the technique was now much more polished, and he was now able to do a bit more with it.

In the instant before the white arrows landed, Lu Tianzi had activated the Limitless Mirror Eye, sending a good dozen arrows into his Limitless Mirror World and releasing them in a different direction straight towards the white walls.

Just as he had hoped, the white arrows blasted a hole through the white walls, allowing him to escape in the nick of time.

By the time the rest of the white arrows landed and reduced to ashes the area enclosed within the white walls, Lu Tianzi had safely exited, and had started killing his way out of the encirclement!

The old man was pleased by the huge explosion, while the rest of the defence team was shocked by it. After all, some of their comrades were still trapped within.

They had not been a match for Lu Tianzi before. Now that the members of the defence team were in a state of shock, they were even easier pickings for him.

Lu Tianzi picked up the pace, slashing his way out of the encirclement, killing anyone who dared to stand in his way.

His every move carried an unstoppable momentum, built upon his absolute confidence in his own ability!

It was only when at least ten others had died to his blades that the rest finally came to their senses.

However, instead of running in to confront Lu Tianzi, the rest of them actually backed off, creating a clear path for him to escape!

If even their Origin Core realm senior was unable to stop him, there was simply no point in them risking their lives for the matter.

Lu Tianzi was surprised when he saw this path open up before him, but he did not stand on ceremony. He dashed out of the encirclement immediately and broke away from the defence team, heading straight for the rendezvous point.

"What are you idiots doing?" the old man bellowed in rage. "Why are you not stopping him? Are you rebelling against orders?"

The members of the defence team lowered their heads in silence, well aware of that they were guilty of disobeying orders. But the old man did not continue berating them either.

At this point, he was only shouting at them to release a bit of his frustration.

The old man, too, understood that it was impossible for the defence team to stop Lu Tianzi. Perhaps even if they put their lives on the line, all that they could achieve was to delay him for a bit of time, and that was only a bit.

In this span of time, there was no way that their reinforcements would arrive in time, and the old man similarly had no idea how to pin him down for good.

What happened earlier was already the best idea he had.

Now that even that had failed, the old man could only give up the chase. After all, he could sense that far ahead, there was another group of soldiers lying in wait.

Damn this brat

The old man cursed in his heart as he watched Lu Tianzi speed off into the distance.

As an Origin Core realm martial artist, he actually had to be wary enough of an Essence Condensation realm martial artist that he stayed in the air just to put distance between them.

And even after sacrificing much of his soldiers, he still failed to prevent this person from escaping from right before his eyes.

What an absolute disgrace!

Fortunately or unfortunately, his martial talent had already been exhausted, and there was almost no chance of him advancing to the next boundary in the first place.

Otherwise, the memories of what happened today would probably become an inner demon on his martial path, making it that much harder for him to advance in the future!

But no matter what, he had to bring the information on this incident back to the others in the Dragon Cauldron Army.

Even though it would be a blow to his pride for him to recount the events of today, he had a premonition that this was vital information that could end up having a huge impact on the outcome of the war.

More so than his pride, the victory of the Dragon Cauldron Army still took higher priority in his heart!
