Chapter 49: /Raging Inferno/

To describe him as angry would be an understatement. No, he was the very embodiment of wrath.

He was apoleptic.

Every step he took shattered and scorched the ground. The pressure emanating from him completely dominated any weak hollow, causing them to completely freeze up.

He looked like a monster, a disturbing malformed version of his dragon form. 2 meters tall, with a beastlike stature. The dark red tattered cape behind him looked like it was burning yet it wasn't. His armor resembled more of a metallic beast than a suit of armor.

Any foe unfortunate enough to cross him would be almost instantly evaporated by a burst of chaos flame. If they were lucky at least scraps of their armor would remain. The unlucky ones didn't even leave behind ashes.

Like that he reached Sen's Fortress. Annihilating everything in his way. He stepped forward through the gate, stepping on the pressure plate and completely crushing it. Yet that didn't stop the trap from fi

*Phsuu! 3x* *Clink* *Clink* *Clink*

The darts did nothing but harmlessly bounce off his armor. The snakemen who noticed the intruder came rushing toward him with weapons raised. But he only looked at them with scathing indifference. He didn't even view them as enemies, only temporary nuisances.

*Slice!* *Boom!* *thud 2x*

With one wave of his blade, he sent out a wave of flame that bisected both of the lizard men. They didn't even spill blood as both halves were cauterized.

He didn't even bother looking at the corpses as he marched forth. Any snakeman trying to intercept him would meet the same fate.

Even the tens of traps laid in Sen's Fortress didn't slow down his march one bit. The guillotines that were meant to intercept any challenger meant nothing as he ripped them apart with his bare hands. The arrow traps after it were ignored, unable to do anything but annoy him.

He continued until he was met with an outdoor area with a lot of boulders. He went around the chutes where the boulders ran down to kill more snakemen to satisfy his bloodlust when he saw a non-enemy.

When the onion-shaped knight saw the near-demonic knight he spoke.

''Mmm...mmm... Mm! Oh-hoh! Forgive me. I was absorbed in thought. I am Siegmeyer of Catarina. Quite honestly, I have run flat up against a wall. ...Or, a ball, to be precise. ...I'm afraid I'm a bit too plump to be outrunning those things. So, here I sit, in quite a pickle. Weighing my options, so to speak! Hah hah hah hah!

Perhaps I could try some rolling... Bah, no chance. My head would spin. Mmm...''

'/Worthless/.'

Even killing this pathetic excuse of a warrior wouldn't give him any benefit so he promptly ignored it to go up the boulder chute. A boulder rolled down, threatening to crush him but it only irritated the already physical embodiment of wrath.

''/GET OUT OF MY WAY!!!/''

*Crack!*

He completely halted the boulder with his raw strength and dug his hands into it, lifting it above his head and launching it toward the launcher with a gigantic combustion.

'/{Meteor}!!!/'

*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!*

The boulder launching mechanism was completely demolished. Yet not even bothering to look at the explosion he resumed stomping his way through Sen's Fortress. But when he came across loot he didn't skip it even in his rampage.

But when he encountered that mimic he picked it up and ripped it apart with his bare hands, splattering blood and guts everywhere that got evaporated by a burst of flame.

Nothing could stand in his way, enemies, traps, falls. All were shattered and incinerated. The raging inferno blazed his way through everything. Uncaring of anything like the embodiment of flame. And his skill that allowed all of this.

--------------------

< Armageddon Blade lv.1 (Hybrid) >

A blade of pure destructive flame forged to end the world. the apotheosis of pyromancy. And the antithesis of the world.

Grants dominion over flame. Boosts the power of all flames the user has control over.

--------------------

All of his offensive pyromancies fused into one blade to end this whole world. The fusion itself cost more than a million souls and 100 humanity to succeed. Its destructive capabilities far outstrip that of its user. He could freely control flame like it was his own body.

He ripped through the Baldur knights in the area with extreme speed as he dashed around like a shade. The eyes of the several knights in the area were barely able to track his movements. The only things they could react to were the sounds of explosions and the eternal silence that followed.

The giant atop its perch wasn't even able to throw firebombs since he couldn't even see the target, only a red blur dashing past everything and looting anything and everything.

Eventually, he reached a tower with a tall knight occupying it.

''Ah, what? What? Who are you? Ahh another Undead, eh? I took on Sen's Fortress alone... But I'm no different from those vile creatures... I was driven by conceit... Ahh, you think you're different?

That you can handle it? Yes, I remember that feeling. For I was the same... So let me help you out. With your souls searching.''

But then he saw what he was talking to. A humanoid that towered over it with flames scorching around it. A man that looked more like a demon than the demons themselves.

''Shit!''

''/Everything you are selling. Give them up or shall I tear them off of your hollowed body?/''

After kindly persuading that crestfallen merchant with his sky-high charisma and expert negotiation skills he resumed dashing around the fortress while annihilating everything in his path and looting any loot.

But now he was getting annoyed by the bombs that the giant was starting to throw.

*Boom!*

Even the giant whose job it was to throw firebombs couldn't withstand his heat as he jumped up to its perch with combustion. And released a gigantic explosion that completely obliterated the upper body of the giant.

Yet his hunger was not quelled. He looked down at the stationary iron golem in hunger. It was over 6 meters tall and made purely from metal. With a small head and a hole in its chest wielding a giant axe.

His eyes shined, finally a target that could actually handle his wrath. With a gleeful and cruel smile, he jumped down, landing with a heavy thud. As if responding to him the golem started to move as well.

*Whoosh!* *Boooom!*

It swiped its gigantic axe and launched a blade of wind that hit the knight head-on. To test himself he didn't try to avoid the blade, deciding to take it to the chest. After skidding back a full meter even with dreadnought. A giant gash across his chest formed and healed as it appeared.

'/My turn!/'

'{Blaze Dash}!'

*Boom!* *Slam!*

He sped off with a bang and slammed his foot on the golem's chest sending it staggering back. But he wasn't done as he created a whip of flame and used that as a bondage to tie themselves together as he slugged the Iron Golem.

*Bam!* *Bam!*...

He launched himself at the iron hole again, firsts covered in flame rained down on the golem as dents and scorch marks littered its torso. His hands shattered under their own power yet he didn't stop. In fact, he continued with even more vigor.

*Boom!* *Boom!*

The Iron golem couldn't even retaliate against his onslaught of blows. He could have finished it anytime but he wanted to rip this toy of the gods apart slowly and enjoy it. It had been a while since he had found a punching bag this durable.

*Grab* *Slam!*

But as he went for another blow the golem grabbed him and threw him straight into the ground.

*Stomp!* *Crack*

The giant golem slammed its foot down on the black knight on the ground. Shattering the floor. But it didn't stop as it stomped again and again.

Yet even as the metal giant stomped on him he didn't falter. In fact, the flame grew angrier. The blue and red aura around coalesced into a purple one.

*Stom-* *Creak*

Blood seeped out of the cracks in his armor and most of his bones were mush yet it didn't hinder him the slightest as he caught the foot of the giant.

"/RARGH/!!!"

And managed to throw the golem off of himself. Managing to break its balance and mount its chest.

*Crunch!*

He stabbed his hand into the golem's chest cavity and ripped out its core.

[VICTORY ACHIEVED!]

<You have slain the {Iron Golem} +40,000 +Core of the Iron golem>

He sent the body of the golem along with its core to his inventory as he stood still, waiting for the parademons.

*Flap* *Flap*

And two skinny, almost malnourished demons with pink skin and no eyes along with membrane bat-like wings descended from the horizon and lifted him by the armpits. Carrying him to the home of the gods.

...

The journey was long. Very, very long. Around a few hours long. Although that might not seem that long, the method by which he was taken there made the experience less than pleasant.

...

The city was in sight. Objectively it was incredibly beautiful. Enough to be called the home of gods even. Yet he felt nothing but contempt at the sight.

An illusion.

Just more deception.

Always deception.

'/How pathetic./'

*Plop*

Yet more trickery lure to guide the chosen undead to the path to the first flame.

to continue this false age of flame Gwyn created. Just like Frampt.

The age of flame that took everything from him. This illusion is just another breadcrumb to lead him to continue this filthy false age of flame that only lead to misery.

'/Only more reason to tear it all down./'

'/Enough philosophy, time to get the lordvessel./'
