Abyssal Sovereign: The Demon's Dominion

Chapter 46The archangel arrival

Shen Ye arrived back and heard laughter echoing from within. The girls must have woken up, and something smelled delicious.

He paused and adjusted his clothes before moving forward. Now, he was more powerful. He could feel it.

"Did he really say that?" Linkir asked, laughing as she clutched her stomach. Her wounds had fully healed, and she felt fine. She had enjoyed the little girl's company since waking up.

"Yes, absolutely," Anya replied with a wide grin, her teeth exposed.

"What did I say?" Shen Ye cut in as he entered with a puzzled expression.

Both Anya and Linkir burst out laughing upon seeing him.

"Why are you laughing?" Shen Ye asked, clearly confused.

"Don't worry, brother. Where have you been?" Anya asked.

"Oh, remember what I told you both? Hehe... I am now a higher being," Shen Ye said, unable to hide his excitement. Finally, he had grown stronger. He could take his revenge.

"Brother, again?" Anya rolled her eyes.

"I'm serious this time. Let me show you," Shen Ye replied eagerly as he walked outside.

Anya glanced at Linkir, who gave a nod, prompting her to follow her brother out.

Outside, they found an open spot for Shen Ye to demonstrate.

"Here I go," Shen Ye said with a smile, though deep down he was nervous. What if he was still human? But he shook the thought away. The power surging through him couldn't be a lie.

He closed his eyes and slammed his fist into the ground.

**Boom.**

A ten-meter-wide crater formed where he struck, and Anya's mouth dropped open.

"Brother, you did it!" Anya shouted with joy, rushing to hug him. He had said he would do it, and she had doubted him—but here it was, proof. He really did it.

Shen Ye felt warmth spread through him as he embraced his sister. He could see the tears of joy on her face, and before he knew it, his own tears began to fall.

Linkir watched from a distance, her expression calm, but deep down, her heart wavered. *This is family,* she thought. *Something I never had.*

"Alright, sis, Lady Linkir—how about it? I'm strong now, right?" Shen Ye boasted, puffing his chest out.

"Nah, still weak," Linkir teased, giggling as Anya joined in laughing.

Shen Ye's face darkened, and his fists clenched. "Just because you fell from the sky doesn't mean you're strong. You were injured, after all," he muttered, trying to salvage his pride.

Anya glanced at Linkir with curiosity. "Auntie, how strong are you?"

"I'm weak… really weak," Linkir said as she turned away, walking farther and farther from them. The others wanted to follow, but she waved them off. She walked to the edge of a nearby cliff, gazing at the view.

"I hope this is strong enough," Linkir muttered with a bittersweet smile. In her normal wolfkin form, she was at the peak of Rank 0, ...

**Boom.**

The area ahead of her collapsed, and thousands of meters of land turned to rubble. The earthquake that followed stretched for miles.

Linkir observed the destruction with a bitter smile. *What is this compared to what I've seen?* she thought. That demon… the explosion it caused covered the entire sky for millions of miles. She stood at the edge of the cliff, staring out over the now-obliterated forest below.

"So strong… Auntie, you're amazing!" Anya giggled. "Brother, what were you saying again?" she asked, flashing a sweet smile.

"I... I..." Shen Ye was speechless. The devastation Linkir had caused was equivalent to a nuclear bomb on his former Earth. Worse, he knew she hadn't used all her power. She had done it casually.

Linkir walked back toward them, her smile widening. "I'm weak, but I can still do this much damage," she said lightly.

"Weak? You're strong! But I'll still protect you," Shen Ye said with a chuckle, stepping beside her.

"You'll be mine," he thought to himself, smiling.

"Hmm, you can't. You don't even understand who my enemies are," Linkir said, shaking her head. The siblings were kind to her, but she couldn't let Shen Ye make promises he couldn't keep.

"What do you mean? Who are your enemies?" Shen Ye asked, his voice more serious now.

Linkir noticed his change in tone, but brushed it off as concern.

"Thanks for caring, but they're stronger than me—for now. They'll be my enemies in the future, and they'll keep growing stronger," Linkir said, gazing up at the sky as if she could see the demons and angels locked in battle.

"How strong? No matter who they are, I'll protect you," Shen Ye repeated, his confidence bolstered by his devouring ability. He wasn't just talking to Linkir—he was also promising his sister.

"Also, can you stay with us?" Anya chimed in. She had grown fond of Linkir and didn't want her to leave.

"Sadly, no. I have a master, and he'll come for me when he's done with his task," Linkir replied.

"A master?" Shen Ye asked, gritting his teeth. He felt like he was losing something precious. He had wanted Linkir to be his friend. After their conversations yesterday, he realized that being alone was miserable.

"Yes..." Linkir said, dragging out the word. She could see the sadness in their faces.

"It's my destiny. I must serve my master—he's the one who gave me this strength," Linkir explained, bending down to hug Anya.

"How long until he comes?" Shen Ye asked, calculating how much time they had left together. At first, he wanted her to be his, but now that she belonged to someone else, there was nothing he could do.

"I don't know. He's battling powerful enemies, so it might take some time," Linkir replied, releasing Anya from the hug.

"How strong is your master?" Shen Ye asked, curious. If Linkir was this powerful, how much stronger could her master be?

"Well... you can't comprehend it," Linkir said with a cautious smile.

"Try me. I can handle it," Shen Ye chuckled, his smile bright.

"My master can probably destroy everything as far as your eyes can see—or beyond—with a single attack," Linkir said, her smile turning wary.

"What do you mean, everything we can see?" Shen Ye asked. Anya leaned in, eager to hear more.

"Horizons," Linkir said softly.

"Horizons?" Shen Ye repeated, his words cutting off as realization hit him. Everything they could see—their entire field of vision. They were on a massive mountain, and they could see for miles.

"Brother, what does she mean?" Anya asked, her voice trembling.

Shen Ye looked down and spoke. "It means everything you can see could be destroyed by her master," he explained, leaving Anya paralyzed in awe. He turned back to Linkir.

"What's your master's name?"

"His name is Void. A primordial demon," Linkir replied.

Shen Ye slowly laughed.

Shen Ye laughed, tears almost brimming in his eyes. "A demon? I was so afraid of those weaklings… those pathetic creatures from hell."

He even began to wonder if Linkir had been deceived.

"He's not weak," Linkir replied calmly. "He's a primordial demon from the Abyss."

Shen Ye's expression darkened. "From the Abyss?" he murmured, the weight of her words sinking in.

"Yes, and he's a Rank 2 existence," Linkir added.

"Rank 2? What does that mean?" Shen Ye asked, curiosity piqued.

"It's a power ranking. In this form, I'm only at the peak of Rank 0," Linkir explained, watching Shen Ye's eyes widen in surprise.

"Wait, so you weren't joking? He's really that powerful?" Shen Ye asked, his mind racing. "Then how strong am I?"

Linkir glanced at him. "You're at the low level of Rank 0."

"Wow," Shen Ye whispered, shocked by the revelation.

"Don't be discouraged," Linkir said with a faint smile. "As long as you don't provoke him, maybe… just maybe, he won't kill you."

"Maybe?" Shen Ye echoed nervously, but Anya, having recovered from her initial shock, stepped in.

"Auntie, I'll still follow you no matter what," Anya said, her voice full of determination.

"Aww, thank you, but I can't risk your lives," Linkir said, her expression softening. She remembered the torture Void had inflicted on her. The thought of him doing the same to them was unbearable. They had become like a family to her, and she couldn't allow them to be hurt.

"It's fine, beautiful. I'll grow strong enough to protect both you and Linkir," Shen Ye declared, hitting his chest with confidence.

---

Weeks passed, and their bond grew stronger. Linkir had witnessed Shen Ye's perverted side, but despite that, it was nice to have company. Together, they explored the forest, and over time, Shen Ye's strength increased. He was now at the mid-level of Rank 0, as strong as the weakest version of Superman.

They fought increasingly powerful creatures, and Linkir taught Shen Ye how to fight, guiding him on how to harness his growing strength. She never asked how he was getting stronger, respecting that everyone had their secrets, and Anya, too, kept quiet, obedient as always.

Finally, they reached the city they had been aiming for—the city where the despicable being resided.

"Today, you will die," Shen Ye growled, clenching his fists in anger.

Anya pouted, her face mirroring his fury, while Linkir's expression turned serious. Today, she would help her friends get their revenge.

---

**At the Divine Plane...**

The war had raged for weeks, and the demons were now at the gates of the angelic city. In a matter of hours, they would break through.

"No wonder we love war," Void remarked, his body covered in slowly healing scars. His soul, nearly restored, was now at the quasi-low level of Rank 2. With half of the required souls already ,Soon, he would become a full-fledged Rank 2 existence.

---

Hours passed, and Void stood at the front of the massive, open gates. The gate towered hundreds of meters in height and spanned at least two kilometers in width. The angels were nearly all dead, their souls devoured, unable to reincarnate. The purified souls they had collected were nowhere to be seen.

"Finally," a Rank 2 demon exclaimed in excitement, rushing forward. But the moment he stepped through the gate, he froze.

A black dot flashed—then he was gone.

*Shrizz.*

In an instant, all the Rank 2 demonsappeared miles away from the gate, light-years away from their target. Simultaneously.. they had to retreat.

Your journey continues with empire

The remaining demons .both at rank 1 and rank 0 were left confused.Another black flash, and they disappeared entirely, eradicated. The source? An angel—a quasi-Rank 3 being.
