Chapter 163: Other Mobile Card Games are Panicking

Chapter 163: Other Mobile Card Games are Panicking

The players were dumbfounded upon seeing the Weibo.

What is this? New player hints?

The most important thing in the game is face? No SSR in this game? Geez, are they taunting us?

Hahaha, why is Chen Mo making fun of his own game?

This Chen Mo guys is up to no good. I almost believed that whatever I say affects the SSR drawing rate.

Chen Mo plays the hater role well. I wanted to hate Onmyoji, but theres no way I out hate Chen Mo!

Countless players walked into the trap Chen Mo set up among all the laughter.

As Onmyoji continued to gain popularity, it didnt take long before it infiltrated different mobile card game communities.

-In a random company-

Have you played Onmyoji?

Nope, I heard its quite popular. Have you played it? How is it?

Its addicting! Ive uninstalled all the other mobile card games.

Huh? Really?

Really! This game is incredibly fun. Time flies when youre staring at the phone playing the game, and all of a sudden youre off work or past bedtime. I dont even feel like playing other card games.

Really?

Really really. Youll know when you try it. Other card games seem so crude after playing Onmyoji, I cant stand them at all.

Alright, Ill give it a try.

-At a random school-

My goodness! I drew an SSR! Ootengu!

Really? How did you get it, did you spend money?

Nope, I just decided to make a draw after having lunch, I didnt expect to find Ootengu!

Let me see. Wow, this ability, the special ability, that character model. Amazing! I want one too!

You make a draw too.

More draws? Ive spent over two hundred RMB, I havent even seen an SSR. Im spending another three hundred RMB later, theres no way I dont draw one!

-Among a group of gamers-

Ubume is the king of duels! Fight me if you disagree!

Shouzu, Kyuuketsu Hime, and Mirror Lady disagree!

What are you guys talking about? I only have one SR, Yuki Onna!

Get out of here!

I dont know what you guys are arguing about. My five SSRs are just here silently watching you argue.

Wow, let me rub some luck off you!

Please take me as your son!

-Onmyoji Discussion Forum-

Chen Mo was right! SSR doesnt exist in this game! Ive been had!

I just fell into the trap today, can anyone help me with a better strategy?

Send a picture of your Shikigamis

If youre lucky you can do anything, otherwise, theres nothing you can do.

Ive looked into it, there are quite a few really strong R cards. Some of them are stronger than SSR cards when they are awakened, easier to train too.

Didnt Chen Mo say that SSR only represents its rarity, not its strength? Strong R cards are quite normal.

Ive won many duels against SSR cards with my R. I think this game is quite fair, unlike other games where you just have to spend money and get rare cards to win!

So what if you beat SSR cards with R cards? Youre still unlucky.

Shut up! Someone line him up for execution!

-Demon Slayers 2 Discussion Forum-

Anybody tried out Onmyoji? Feels much more fun than Demon Slayers.

Another one from the other side, how much did Chen Mo pay you? Emperor Dynasty will pay you double!

Pfft, sent by Chen Mo. Cant you use your brain? That game is actually quite fun.

I agree, Ive played it and found that the game is better than Demon Slayers 2 in every single aspect, especially story and graphics. I feel like Im not even playing a mobile game anymore.

Mods deleting my most? Have it your way!

Whatever, since most say Onmyoji is fun, Ill go try it out. May we meet again.

Its been three days, previous poster. Is Onmyoji fun? Can you say something?

Many video game designers of the large mobile card game companies felt the impact of Onmyoji, with their daily active players taking huge blows.

Demon Slayers 2 fared better than the other worse and outdated mobile card games.

As the number of daily active players fell, the server activities fell dramatically too. Many servers were deserted, and many players from different communities have shifted to Onmyoji.

Naturally, the revenue for these mobile cards dropped dramatically too.

These designers were panicking. But there wasnt much they could do. Even Emperor Dynasty Entertainments Demon Slayers 2 could only stand and watch, what else could they do?

Our daily active users dropped tens of thousands again! Our days are over!

Yeah, our revenue is horrible to look at. At this rate, we might only be able to last another month before shutting it down.

All the players shifted to Onmyoji.

Is that game really that good? It wasnt even that bad when Demon Slayers 2 came out right?

Yeah, it doesnt make sense. In theory brand loyalty is much stronger for mobile card games. These players have spent so much money to draw rare cards, how could they just leave like that?

I heard Demon Slayers 2 took heavy blows too, but I dont know exactly what happened.

Onmyoji had only been online for a few days, thats crazy!

I think Onmyoji should enter best sellers anytime soon, even though it was released on the official appstore and the Thunderbolt Gaming Platform.

I also think that Onmyoji cant be bad. At this rate, its only a matter of time before it surpasses Demon Slayers 2!

Is Emperor Dynasty Entertainment just going to watch?

What can they do? Send their people over to leave bad reviews? Everything is in their favour right now, it wouldnt do anything. Moreover, bad reviews wouldnt do much. Mobile card games always had bad reviews, it doesnt matter for free games at all!

Geez, theres nothing stopping these players from heading to Onmyoji!

Many had their eyes on Onmyojis performance, but nobody knew how well the game did.

It had only been a few days since the game was released. They could all tell that the game was really popular from the downloads and the trending topics, but nobody knew the statistics such as player retention, daily active users, and monthly revenue.

They were all waiting for Onmyoji to enter the best sellers. Could it potentially drag Demon Slayers 2 into second place?
