Apocalypse Cheater

Chapter 196: 2 Saintesses

[: Daniel POV :]

I struggled to escape from her embrace, but the vines seemed to tighten their grip with an otherworldly strength.

The Saintess, her emerald eyes now darkened with overwhelming emotions of love and obsession, looked at me with an intensity that sent shivers down my spine.

Her fingers gently touched my cheek, and she giggled in a manner that sent chills through the air.

"You're my Red, and no matter what you say, I don't care. As long as you have his powers, you are my Red,"

She declared with a wide, unsettling smile.

The room seemed to close in around us as the forest responded to her tumultuous emotions, amplifying the surreal and suspenseful atmosphere.

"I don't want to be your Red! Let me go!"

I pleaded, but her obsession seemed to have reached a point of no return.

The eerie smile on her face persisted, casting a haunting glow in the dimly lit room.

Her laughter echoed, resonating with a mix of joy and madness.

"You can't escape, my Red. You're bound to me now,"

She whispered, the tone carrying an unsettling blend of possessiveness and affection.

The vines continued to constrict, creating an inescapable prison that reflected the entangled state of her emotions.

As the suspense reached its peak, the room seemed to pulse with otherworldly energy, leaving the outcome uncertain.

The Saintess's darkened emerald eyes bore into mine, and the atmosphere crackled with an unsettling tension, hinting at a revelation or a climax that awaited in the wake of her obsessive and possessive declaration.

''We will now be eternally intertwined.''

The Saintess announced with eyes that were blacker than the night sky.

She grasped me, tugging me towards her as if there was an immovable force between us, and our lips found each other in a fervent embrace.

I gasped in shock when our tongues collided, sending shudders of electricity through my core.

No matter how much I tried to fight her off, there was no escape as she continued to devour my soul through our passionate kiss.

It felt like my first kiss all over again.

I felt myself being pulled in deeper and deeper as our tongues intertwined in an endless dance of passion, seeking to join together completely so that we would become one soul.

I could feel the heat radiating from her body, my own body heated up in response as if something inside me was coming alive for the first time.

I lost track of time, all that existed was us, locked in a timeless moment of love.

At some point, we separated our lips, and the Saintess seemed satisfied.

However, soon after, she clicked her tongue, a gesture that hinted at an impending realization.

"It seems like time is running out. But don't worry, my dear. I have placed my importance on you, and you can't run away,"

She said eerily, her voice carrying an unsettling calmness.

As she released her embrace and the vines that had ensnared me, a momentary sense of relief washed over me. I

took a cautious step back, eyeing her with a mixture of apprehension and uncertainty.

"What do you mean by placing your importance on me?"

I questioned, the lingering effects of her obsession and possessiveness still palpable in the air.

The forest around us seemed to respond to the shifting dynamics, the once vibrant foliage now holding an air of uncertainty.

The Saintess grinned, a predatory gleam in her darkened eyes.

"Oh, my dear Red, you're not going anywhere. I've bound our fates together,"

She declared with a sense of finality.

A chill ran down my spine as the gravity of her words sank in.

"Bound our fates together? What have you done?"

I demanded, realizing that the consequences of her actions might extend beyond the immediate situation.

With a sinister smile, she whispered, "You'll understand soon enough. Embrace the eternity we share, my dear Red."

The air became charged with ominous energy as the implications of her words hung in the room, leaving me to grapple with the unsettling reality of the fate she claimed to have woven for us.

[: Congratulations, you have received a Stigma from the Goddess of Antheia :]

[: You have been given Stigma of the Nature :]

[: You have received the advantages of the Stigma and the disadvantages of it :]

[: From now on, the Saintess of the Moon will have to follow you everywhere in Modern Fantasia or else, all of your stats will be sealed :]

Soon later, the goddess who had overtaken the Saintess of Nature disappeared, and the Saintess regained control.

She couldn't look me in the eyes, and her cheeks and ears reddened as she blushed.

"I'm s-sorry," she apologized, her voice barely audible.

"It's not your fault," I reassured her, sensing the internal struggle she must have endured during the possession.

"Sigh, I never thought this would happen, but I won't blame you guys,"

I said, understanding the complexities of the situation.

The room once filled with an eerie atmosphere, now carried the weight of awkward silence.

The Saintess fidgeted, unable to meet my gaze. "I should have had better control over myself. I never wanted you to get involved in this mess,"

She admitted, her voice filled with a mix of regret and embarrassment.

''This isn't your fault, to begin with. So, don't blame yourselves too much. We'll figure this out together,"

I assured her, trying to alleviate the guilt she seemed to be carrying.

I don't blame her nor do I blame Katie.

After all, this was something beyond our hands and now, we'll have to work together or else, my stats would be sealed.

Fortunately, I hope it will only work in this world rather than on Earth.

Now that I thought about Katie, I was kinda worried about her.

As soon as I turned to Katie, I noticed that she had an unusual expression.

Her face seemed empty, and her eyes carried a dark intensity as if she found the Saintess of Nature's actions absolutely unforgivable.

Concerned, I called out to her, "What's wrong? Are you alright, Katie?"

She seemed to snap out of her trance, her expression shifting back to normal.

"N-Nothing. I'm fine,"

She replied with a sweet smile, and the light in her crescent eyes regained its usual brightness.

I continued to observe her, sensing that something had affected her more profoundly than she let on.

"Katie, you can tell me if something's bothering you. After all, we're now friends"

I urged, wanting to ensure that she felt comfortable opening up about whatever had caused her momentary distress.

She hesitated for a moment before sighing, "It's just... seeing her lose control like that. It was unsettling. But I'm fine now, really."

She offered a reassuring smile, attempting to brush off the lingering unease.

"Alright, if you say so. I'll try to support you in whatever ways that I can,"

I affirmed, appreciating her willingness to share even if only a glimpse of her true feelings.

"Now that we're in this together, then, it will mean that we will have to work together, and you'll have to follow me wherever I go,"

I gazed at the Saintess of Nature and stated.

''I have no issues with it and I'm rather keen on exploring the outside world''

She remarked with expectations in her eyes,

The Saintess nodded in agreement. "I've been confined within the Holy Templar for so long. that I'm looking forward to our journey"

She admitted with a spark of excitement in her eyes.

"Moreover, now I understand why the Saintess of the Moon had to follow you, so it's because of our Goddesses,"

She said with a bit of guilt.

"So, what are your plans now?"

the Saintess of Nature questioned, her eyes filled with curiosity.

"Without a doubt, we will be heading for the West Holy Templar,"

I answered, firm in my decision.

Her eyes lit up with interest.

"So, your goal is to acquire the remaining 2 Forbidden King Fruits?"

She inquired, her curiosity evident.

I nodded.

"Yes, that's the plan"

I explained and she didn't dive deeper into my attention to obtaining all of the 4 Forbidden King Fruits.

However, all of a sudden, the Saintess looked at me with a mix of curiosity and admiration.

"Now that I think about it, I can't believe that someone could eat 2 Forbidden King Fruits,"

She remarked, genuinely surprised.

"It's not just any Forbidden Fruit, but a Forbidden King Fruit!"

She exclaimed, emphasizing the significance of the fruits and the rarity of someone consuming more than one.

''I think you're the first person that I ever seen in possessing more than 1 type of Forbidden King Fruit and I'm confident that there won't be any more than this''

She remarked and it looked like her thoughts about me were rather huge and aspiring.

''Well, I'm glad you feel that way, but before we go to our next destination, what's your name?'' I questioned.

''My name's Liviana'' She answered with a sweet soft smile.

In return, I gave her my name, ''My name's Daniel''
