Apocalypse: System of lotteries

Chapter 523 "Did He Just Die Like That?"

Clutching the vial of 'Mr. Vigor' pills, Vicentine spoke to Calabari, "Old man, it's clear that the medicine you gave those fools is superior. Why settle me with something less potent?"

Calabari chuckled softly. "Because they're the fools, I gave them the newly developed pills. You understand my meaning, don't you?"

Vicentine caught on quickly, grinning, "Even in these dire times, you still find ways to conduct your experiments. Your commitment is truly commendable."

Calabari shook his head and pointed to Dru and Russo, who were now charging into the fray. "If we're speaking of commendable, it has to be theirs."

Elsewhere, led by Ming, the 'Sharp Blades' pierced swiftly through the celestial soldiers. At that moment, he activated his realm of 'War Fury,' his own attributes escalating with each casualty inflicted.

Then, the celestial soldiers in front of them suddenly parted, creating a pathway. Supercharged by the pills, a battalion of larger, flushed, and visibly heated soldiers stormed in at incredible speed. The next instant—the two forces collided, like a flood meeting a wall.

Ming received a series of alerts—his Napoleonic puppets were being defeated. "Your Napoleonic puppet wishes to inform you that these newly arrived celestial soldiers are incredibly strong, and our forces are being depleted. It's heart-wrenching—those are loyally amassed troops."

"Enyo!" Ming commanded. A lithe figure dashed forward, plunging into the ranks of the drugged celestial soldiers and activating 'Chaos.' Simultaneously, a woman—resplendent in athletic wear, with wings and lightning flickering all over her—landed, wielding an electric staff. She charged toward Enyo, disrupting her 'Chaos.'

Their forces clashed, entangled in melee.

Upon seeing Enyo assailed, the Red Horse Knight rushed forward to assist. Swinging his weapon at Milenko, he called to Enyo, "I'm here. Fear not!"

If looks could kill, Enyo would have annihilated the Red Horse Knight, who seemed to thrive on causing trouble.

Meanwhile, the celestial soldiers briefly falling under Enyo's 'Chaos' regained their senses. They ceased fighting among themselves and renewed their assault on the Sharp Blades' formation.

Swinging his mighty staff, Ming charged directly at Milenko. Just then, a clap of thunder resounded, and a massive column of electricity slammed down. Ming faltered, halting his advance. A winged figure landed, wielding an electric staff that crackled and spat arcs of lightning.

Fixing his gaze on Ming, the figure let out a ferocious roar—his skill 'Divine Intimidation.'

However, Ming was already under the influence of his own divine aura and remained unaffected. He lunged forward, leaping into a three-step pause, seizing the momentary stagnation to swing his staff mightily at the figure's head.

The towering being, Tupqi, crashed to the ground. As he tried to rise, the shadow of the staff descended once more, flattening him again.

"..."

Such a massive staff...such immense power...

Ming lifted his staff again, preparing a vertical strike to Tupchi's head.

Ming's Foodie looked beyond the battlefield to Atlas standing at the rear. "Look at that elegant woman. Though she appears to be older than Ming, such a kindred spirit is rare to find. Ming would surely like her."

His Da Vinci avatar looked at Atlas, then at Foodie. "Do you really need to tell me what to do? I've wanted to make a move on her for some time now. Come, let's go meet her."

Boom!

Tupqi broke free just as the staff descended again, his body erupting in a golden light.

Invincible, impervious to harm.

He hastily rose and retreated to stand beside Milenko. The two looked at each other, spread their wings, and took to the sky. Milenko extended an electric spear, and Tupchi swung his hammer.

Explosion!

The sky tore open, and a thick column of violet-blue lightning crashed down, landing squarely in the center of Ming's army.

Boom—!

Thunder roared, and bolts of electricity rolled like waves in all directions, engulfing...

"Your Napoleon puppet -193"

Napoleon grimaced in pain. "Command the flying leeches to bring down that couple!" The flying leeches went invisible and soared behind Tupchi—only to have their stealth shattered by a twinkling figure with a golden star on his forehead. Wielding a feather duster, this figure swept it around, releasing a cascade of runes that settled on the bodies of the flying leeches. The runes exploded in a burst of fire, forcing the leeches to retreat.

"You're quite timely!"

Tupqi laughed heartily, again coordinating with Milenko, gripping his spear, smashing his hammer.

Boom!

Yet another lightning bolt tore through the sky, and Tupqi roared with laughter, "Let's see how long these beasts can hold out! Die!"

As his words fell, the massive column of lightning howled down from the heavens again. Just before it struck, a figure in white leaped to meet it. It was Ming. When he touched the lightning, he activated his Law of Heaven and Earth, growing enormous and singlehandedly holding off the thunderbolt.

"Die!"

Tupqi's face twisted in fury. "Turn to ashes!"

Boom!

The column of lightning collided with Ming and shattered, scattering countless sparks in all directions. The air reverberated with the snap and crackle of residual electricity. But Ming was nowhere to be seen.

"Hahaha!"

"Reduced to ashes," Tupqi gloated, gazing at the scattering sparks.

Milenko added, "It appears, my dear, we could be in line to replace Hades."

Your Napoleon, staring at the fading celestial fireworks but not seeing your figure, felt no particular emotion. "Ming is playing his tricks again," he thought.

"Order all troops to ignore everything else and concentrate fire on that star-foreheaded fellow and the bird couple," commanded your Napoleon. The flying leeches looked at Milenko and Tupqi, reminding Napoleon, "That's not just any couple; those are bird people."

For a moment, gargoyles and winged beasts, led by the black-haired pig demon and Raoul, swooped toward Milenko and Tupqi in the sky.

The battle ripped apart in a flash, and Enyo and the Red Horseman broke free, beginning to sow chaos.

It was then that the God of Wealth arrived, driving his Rolls-Royce. Stepping out with elegance, he lifted his hand. "Let me show you what it feels like to be crushed by wealth!"

A torrent of gold coins cascaded forth, raining upon those ahead. Faced with a wide-ranging assault, Enyo and the Red Horseman had no option but to withstand it bodily; their defenses gradually eroded by the golden deluge.

A male and female zombie appeared, raising their hands toward the God of Wealth to start "investing" and "making you a star." It was Lopene and Ayana.

The God of Wealth stared at the two zombies in disbelief. "You dare to steal my money? And immobilize me?"

Suddenly, a shadow appeared behind him. Boom!

Turning, the God of Wealth eyed what seemed to be a laughing werewolf, aghast. "How could you stoop so low?"

At that moment, Calabari produced a gleaming golden pill, offering it to the God of Wealth. "Would you like to try this pill? It will make you incredibly strong."

The God of Wealth glared at him. "Whose side are you on, you quack?"

Calabari chuckled, "Medicine knows no boundaries."

The God of Wealth snapped, "Can you get rid of the lowlife wolf behind me first?"

From the back of the celestial array, Pangu stared at the battlefield where Ming was no longer visible, puzzled. "Did he just die like that?"

"Be cautious; that monster appears cunning," warned Atlas as his gaze scanned the surroundings. She then spotted two toads squatting by his feet—one large, one small, one green, one yellow.
