He then fell to his knees with a thud.

Seeing his actions, the program inspectors exchanged glances. They promptly holstered their weapons and advanced to restrain him.

“Wait,” one of them hesitated, a sudden suspicion arising. “Something’s off. Assassins don’t surrender this easily!”

“Look at the waterfall behind him, it’s not big at all!” another pointed out. “And his gaze seems vacant.”

Wang Yue had just caught up and saw the assassin kneeling on the ground from a distance. She quickly grabbed an inspector’s binoculars to scrutinize the waterfall. It was naturally formed and quite shallow. The water flow was gentle and easy for anyone who could swim to cross.

“Why would an assassin surrender in such a situation?” pondered Wang Yue, her face turning grave with realization. “Be careful, don’t approach him!” she shouted. “He’s been hypnotized!”

But her warning came too late. Ten program inspectors had already carefully approached him, followed by three more from the Chinese team who couldn’t stop in time. Thirteen in total.

“He’s merciless. He actually let his own man sacrifice himself. Is he even human?” Kolyev exclaimed loudly, cursing.

Wu Yaoming shook his head bitterly. “Indeed, it’s our oversight. Wang Yun has always been a ruthless fugitive from the start. A true ruthless fugitive!”
