Chapter 254: Uncertain Ties
Chapter 254: Uncertain Ties
A few minutes passed, and the details that came from Elumar's mouth were none other than shocking, even more so for the MSS Chief Sigor, who was now on his way from the meeting room to the MSS main force unit.
"Hmph! Sector Chief, I won't even get into what he meant by saying that we are all fighting together in the end, so he didn't see the need to insight internal discord within the empire despite our differences there. Still, the bit about the Morning Star Royal family's disassociation with RADA and newfound union with those other powers is truly quite worrying."
Black Spider said as she walked nearby Sigor's side; though she didn't directly attend the meeting, it would seem that all of its details to her was crystal clear.
Sigor shook his head as a sharp look came into his eyes when he responded, "It doesn't matter, even if he does has some agenda, in the end, his proposition made was valid. Not to mention the crucial details about RADA's core objectives were well needed. We can add this up with everything learned from the Justice Party to more readily prepare ourselves should those unexpected events arrive."
Black Spider's lens flashed as she spoke, "Indeed, but the chief, I still have one other key concern. His Majesty Erickson III said that he had partnered up with the Heaven Eyes; now that they've already been deployed, do you think that they will interfere with the activities of our Vanguard Party?"
Sigor thought for a moment before shaking his head and replying, "I don't know, for now, we can only take it in strides. I trust that Evan and those around him are all capable; even if that boy has some kind of agenda, he won't be able to act willfully. Right now, we need to solve all the most pressing troubles, the battle isn't far off, and the barrier is breaking down. Send the word to Allan, Reaper, and all other core forces; let them know that the first of our major battles has begun. They are to hold nothing back"
Black Spider gave Sigor a look before saluting as she replied, "Yes, sir."
As Black Spider fiddled with a device, the two then continued onwards towards the ship waiting for them. Moments after, the shift took off from the current meeting ground, soaring along with the company of a few other MSS aircraft that flew towards the horizon.
Much like Sigor, the leaders belonging to the Asian Empire, Russian Empire, and Ugandia Nation had also left the meeting room; they each gave Elumar and his allies a deep look before they boarded their ships.
"You don't buy everything he's saying, do you?"
Sir Alexandrov asked Empress Chi Lei through a unique messaging device.
"Hmph! Even if I don't, I can't say I reject that proposition for the time being. For now, we should focus on current affairs."
Sir Alexandrov remained silent for a while before sending back a reply, "It would seem so."
Sir Oji was the only person who spoke to no one else, but his eyes carried a trace of sharpness when he glanced at Elumar before boarding his ship. It didn't take long for those parties to leave the meeting grounds, leaving behind only the Elumar along with his allies.
As if Barakat found it amusing, he stared at Elumar and spoke, "Huhu... they look like they're about to stab you in the back; they can't bring themselves to trust neither you nor us."
The Cold Moon princess and Frost Queen from the Arctic Society didn't seem to be phased by this; they merely stared at Elumar with expectation.
Elumar smiled as he replied in a calm tone, "I don't blame them, but in times like these, what matters isn't one's own opinions, but what one sees of the grand picture. With a common enemy, even hated foes will have to unite, eventually leading to the birth of a true chain of leadership."
When the Barakat and the others heard this, their eyes flashed as they knew full well of the meaning behind those words. They stared at each other before nodding as they face the direction ahead.
There, a massive fleet belonging to their combined factions had gathered together. There were mechs of the Morning Star Royal Army neatly arranged together, with a few familiar faces from the Imperial Council nearby along with the other mighty weaponry used by the other powers.
Elumar smirked at this as his eyes showed a strange look when he gazed beyond the mighty army, facing the distant horizon as he spoke in his mind.
'In the end, it's not who slaughters the head that can reign as a true king, but the one who leads everyone to true victory. Huhu... do your best Evan, I'm counting on you for not only now, but my future.'
A bitter wind blew in the air, rustling the cloth on each of their bodies as it swayed their hair, acting as if it was a mark for the looming war that lay beyond the horizon.

As the barrier crumbled increasingly, a familiar party that resided at the Morning Star Empire's core had taken key notice of this change. However, as if they didn't care, they stood on the roof of a building waiting on something.
Today, the Justice Party was especially solemn. They calmly stood atop the skyscraper, ignoring the chaos of the prior notification as they wore their battle suits, fitted with strange-looking weapons.
Suddenly, two sounds were heard as the figures appeared in the distance, making their way towards their position. They jumped from building to building, and with one large jump, quickly arrived on top of the building the party resides.
As they saw who appeared, each member relaxed as their eyes shone with expectation. Black Justice, who was none other than Sector Chief Brook, stared at the red-haired middle-aged man and spoke in a cool tone, "I guess you've already made your choice, haven't you, Fredrick."
Fredrick Valentine stayed silent for a while before the look in his eyes grew stranger when replied, "I guess I have... I suppose, ever since that day, my fate was destined."
The Justice Party members said nothing; they all knew what he meant by his words and knew just what kind of matter laid ahead for the rest of them. However, while their party met, the world only continued to grow worse, as the scene on the front lines had undergone its first true change.
