Chapter 106 - Queen Luna
[Royal Meeting]
[Meet with the Royalty of the Earth Empire to discuss the death of Royal Envoys. Convince them to accept your help.]
[Difficulty: C]
[Quest Clear Conditions: Gain Royal Family's trust.]
[Clear Reward: 1,000 Experience]
The initial Quest seemed to be easy, but that thought crumbled as soon as Liu Ye entered through a massive door. He expected to meet a mature and collected woman inside the throne room, yet he found himself in the Royal bedroom.
Liu Ye wouldn't have any issues with it if only the room didn't look like a tornado just passed right through it. Various dresses were scattered all around the floor while the Queen in question was sitting at the end of her enormous bed.
[Queen Luna – Lvl. 120]
She was a young woman no older than Avi with beautiful glossy skin and a smile that drew all of his attention. Queen Luna glanced him up and down with a pair of black eyes before smirking as she shifted to Ra.
"See? I told you I'm dressed," Queen Luna pointed out as she posed elegantly in a sexy black nightgown. "Now you can't complain anymore."
"My Queen, how is this outfit any different than your everyday look?" Ra replied speechlessly and looked away. "Also, we just cleaned this room and you made another mess. Can we have a break for one day?"
Only then did Liu Ye realize that all dresses on the floor were actually short nightgowns that barely covered anything. Her thighs were fully exposed to his view while half of her butt would be uncovered if she wasn't sitting with her legs crossed.
"Huh, excuse me?" Queen Luna questioned while raising her eyebrows. "What mess? I can't see anything."
As Queen Luna spoke, she flicked with her fingers and the sudden wind blew across the room. A small tornado began to pick up all the dresses before disappearing inside her closet.
Airbending!
Liu Ye didn't really have much experience with this Element aside from his encounter with Black Rose and he only needed to see one ability to determine how overpowered it was. His hair blew in all directions and he was almost pushed back with a casual tornado she created.
How could he fight her if his abilities wouldn't even reach her? His Water Whips would be destroyed before he can even create them while his Ice Projectiles would be blown back to him. He didn't even want to think about the ability to suffocate someone by taking away their air. He could do the same with water but he needed to touch the enemy with water while air was everywhere.
"Anyway, can't you see my outfit?" Queen Luna asked as if nothing happened and extended her leg at them. "See those comfy knee-socks? You asked me to wear more clothes so I complied. Any other problems?"
Ra breathed out a deep sigh and shook his head. "No, my Queen. Everything is perfect."
Ra's reaction was a classic 'I'm not getting paid enough for this' moment. Queen Luna seemed too unruly to conquer by her subordinates.
"With that said, let me introduce you," Ra continued as he gazed at Liu Ye. "Please meet Queen Luna, the strongest bender in the Mainland. She will personally investigate the death of Royal Envoys so please answer any questions she might have. We will leave you two alone for now."
Mazamut and Ra looked like they couldn't wait to leave the room and gazed at him with a look of pity. "If you need help, just shout. We will wait outside the door."
"I heard it!" Queen Luna called out angrily, causing Ra to speed up his steps.
Thud.
Queen Luna's frown was replaced with a bright smile as soon as the door closed and she beckoned at Liu Ye. "Come closer. I'm not going to bite you."
Liu Ye wasn't as sure of that after Ra's words but he still walked up confidently. What could go wrong? His life wasn't in danger since he was helping them, so he could only benefit from this exchange.
"Queen Luna, I don't think I have anything to add in this matter, but please ask me anything," Liu Ye said calmly after stopping at a safe distance from her. A few meters further and he would see more than he should have.
Too bad, she was the one who closed the distance between them.
"You don't know me well, right?" Queen Luna asked while staring into his eyes and walked up to him with interest. She was at least a foot shorter than him yet she moved with a grace of a model.
"That's correct. This is my second day in the Earth Land," Liu Ye replied honestly as he forced his eyes to remain on her face. He couldn't help but wonder who designed such a lewd main Quest, knowing it definitely wasn't Katherine.
The ends of her black nightgown were barely touching her thighs and he was sure he could see everything if only she raised her arms.
"Yeah, I figured you are not from the area since you don't know the etiquette," Queen Luna pointed out as she stopped right in front of him and patted his chest. "First rule, don't call me Queen if I'm not your Queen. Just call me Luna."
"Second rule," Luna continued as she pulled his Bandana off. "You can't hide your face while talking to me. I would normally kill for that but I will let you off since you didn't know."
"Indeed, Ra didn't mention that fact," Liu Ye nodded while pulling down his hood as well. "Is there anything I can help with?"
He was trying to hint her to move on to the main issue but Luna didn't seem to be in a hurry.
"You are tall, handsome and your lips look so kissable," Luna muttered as she reached out to caress his cheek and drew closer. "Do you perhaps have a girlfriend?"
"…"
Liu Ye finally realized what Ra meant by needing help. Thankfully, Xu Yue wasn't any different so he had a lot of experience handling such situations.
"I don't think that question is related to the death of Royal Envoys," Liu Ye muttered unbothered while catching Luna's wrist. "I was asked to come here in order to help but I guess that matter is not as important as I thought."
He let go of her and simply walked away, leaving her staring at his back with raised eyebrows. It was a simple trick he often used on Xu Yue and it never failed him.
'One…'
'Two…'
'Thre—'
"Stop right there," Luna called out before he even finished counting to three. "Come back."
Liu Ye's brightened and he turned around. "Shall we discuss seriously?"
Luna pursed her lips and walked back to sit on the bed. "I was just testing your morals and you passed beautifully. Well done."
[Ding! Quest Royal Meeting Completed. You received 1,000 Experience.]
[Ding! Your affinity with Queen Luna increased by 50.]
A bunch of notifications buzzed with his arm but he didn't have time to read its details as Luna didn't keep her eyes off him.
"Before we discuss my request, I want to come clean with you," Luna muttered as she leaned back which pushed her chest out. "Most matters in the Empire are handled by my uncle but I decided to take over after hearing about you. Not many people have the opportunity to see me like this. Especially strangers."
Liu Ye paused, realizing why he felt something was wrong this whole time.
It was a Hidden Quest!
