Back For My Daughter

After coming out of her thoughts, after bumping into someone and apologizing for her lack of attention, Ning Wei heard a feminine voice.

"Ohh, teacher Ning is it?"

The figure before her turned around and smiled before waving her hand as if Ning Wei didn't need to apologize for this simple matter.

"Yes." Although she nodded, Wei didn't recognize the woman before her.

The woman seemed to have known her but since she didn't know the other person, Wei felt somewhat embarrassed.

"Aiya, I am so foolish, I didn't realize that you don't know me, I am Jhang Yin, teacher of 5th class."

The woman said before tapping her forehead as if it was obvious.

"Jhang... are you somehow related to Jhang Feng?"

Ning Wei muttered, realizing that this name was somewhat familiar and in fact belonged to one of the students of her class.

One had to know that the school had students from class 5th to class 10th, and while they were teachers belonging to the same school, the classes were further divided into two categories, early middle school and later middle school, which consisted of classes 5, 6,7 and 8,9,10 respectively.

And so, the teachers of thee two class sections were also given separate teacher's office on different floors, so obviously there would be rarely a few teachers who would know of the other teachers who taught the other set of classes.

Yuan Meng and Ning Wei taught students from class 8th and above, while the teacher before Wei, Jhang Yin, taught to the class 5th.

Jhang yin grinned seeing that Ning Wei had recognized her.

"You are right teacher Ning, I am his mother."

Ning Wei nodded.

"Sister Wei, what are you standing here for?"

Meanwhile, someone else called Ning Wei from Miss Jhang's back.

Of course, it was Yuan Meng, she had been feeling a bit hungry today and hence walked quickly to open her lunch box and eat quickly, but while she was making her way to the teacher's tables in the cafeteria she asked a few queries about the dinner preparation thinking that Ning Wei was right behind her.

But after a few questions which weren't given any response much less an answer, Yuan Meng turned around only to find out that her friend wasn't around her.

After taking a look around did she noticed that she was a few meters away from the entrance of the cafeteria and seemed to be talking to someone.

"Ahh, Sister Meng, I was thinking and bumped into Miss Jhang."

Saying that, Ning Wei pointed at Jhang Yin who had turned around and was smiling as she looked at Yuan Meng.

"Ohh, hello, I am Yuan Meng, teacher of class 9th."

Yuan Meng introduced herself seeing that the teacher was welcoming.

"Hello, teacher of class 5th, Jhang Yin."

The woman introduced herself with the same smile on her face.

But then, her brows raised high as she took a deep look at Yuan Meng.

According to her, the teacher before her looked a bit too young to be a teacher in the higher classes and in fact, the one thing that made her slightly envious of her was her beauty.

Although Yuan Meng was wearing glasses and very simple suit and strap sandals with little to no heels, Miss Jhang could clearly tell that the woman before her was a beauty and just was hiding herself under the guise of some simple attire.

Of course, while Miss Jhang was thinking all that, Yuan Meng also took a good look at her.

Miss Jhang seemed to be in her early 40s and was a bit healthier looking when compared to her.

After a moment of thought, and exchanging a look with Ning Wei, Yuan Meng asked while pointing at the lunch box in Jhan Yin's hand.

"Is Miss Jhang alone and going to have lunch?"

"Ahh, yes it's obvious."

Jhang Yin nodded.

The break had just begun, so it was obvious that she had come here to have lunch.

"As for being alone, I do join a few fellow teachers, but I haven't made friends yet, you see, I have joined just this year."

Miss Jhang said with a somewhat embarrassed look on her face.

She had joined about a month ago and so, there was barely anyone whom she had got well acquainted with.

Since she would most of the time need a few more minutes of lectures to wrap up the ongoing topics, by the time she arrived at the teachers' office to get her lunch box, most of the teachers would have already left and she could only get to the cafeteria alone.

"Ohh, then why not join us?"

Ning Wei who had come to Yuan Meng's side suggested.

Miss Jhang's eyes brightened at Wei's words, but then she looked at Yuan Meng and stopped herself from joining right away.

She didn't know if Yuan Meng was fine with her joining them.

Seeing Miss Jhang look at her, Yuan Meng easily understood what she was thinking.

"Yes, Miss Jhang should join us, it's just the two of us and it will be quite good."

Yuan Meng's words were like the chirps of birds making her feel merrier.

Miss Jhang had been hesitant if she should ask it herself, but then thinking that the two would think that she was forcing herself with them, she threw the idea out of her mind.

"Ohh, okay, I have almost brought the best dish I can cook today, my Feng loves it every time I make it."

"Ohhh."

Yuan Meng and Ning Wei nodded.

The two didn't know what to say, the woman who was about a decade older than them seemed like one of the little girls who had made new friends and was excited to flaunt her lunch box and share it with them to strengthen their friendship.

The two could only look at each other and smile wryly imagining that this must the a similar scene that their daughters might have faced when they were first enrolled in their schools.
