Back For My Daughter

Chapter 1293: What Might Have Happened If He Wasn't There?

While Little Qiqi, Xiao Ya and Zhimen, played with the elderlies in the old age home, Ye Qian was making his way to the Turtle Primary School.

His speed was enough to astound even Usain Bolt, the fastest runner known to people on Earth, that is if he were to see Ye Qian right now.

Although there were people around and also in the streets, Ye Qian moved in spots that were not easily noticed by anyone, in fact, there was still quite sometime before the little girl's school came to an end, but there was something that he had to see by himself.

"Uncle Le said that the man who was seen around Jia's school has been following us for a few days, although he isn't quite sure of that, if he is indeed following us, then he would be around the school even now when there's still some time for the kids to release."

Ye Qian muttered to himself while a flash of red sparked in his eyes as he muttered.

"But if he has any evil intentions towards Jia, then I will make sure that he won't live another day, even if it means that I would need to kill him before anyone."

He had been feeling a presence following them every time he would bring the little girl to their school along with their mothers, but he had been holding himself from looking around since they were along.

And now that he had to go to work today, Ye Qian knew that there was no way that he could leave these things unchecked.

It was good that he was asked to join a week later, but this would be his last free night and recalling the incident that had happened a few days ago, Ye Qian knew that even if there were people who were willing to throw their lives in order to protect his family, there was no way that he could let them do that much less if there would be no help.

In case that day he wasn't with Yuan Meng, Ye Qian couldn't dare imagine how many people might have lost their lives for no reason and wouldn't have even amounted to any gains.

That Corpse General was even something that he could only kill thanks to the Divine Weapon after forcing himself down by half a realm.

He didn't dare imagine just how those men who had been protecting his wife and daughter all these years would have just thrown their lives in the hope of saving her only to be left disappointed and their sacrifices to be made useless.

Ye Qian wanted to prune any of the spines that might cause trouble to his family in his absence.

He could leave those hooligan problems to be dealt with by Le Zheng and his team, but these people who could very well be cultivators, Ye Qian knew that he had to intervene to avoid any major loss.

With this thought in mind, Ye Qian roamed around the block of Little Jia's school, carefully examining everyone around until he sensed a few people who seemed to have some kind of cultivation.

Ye Qian frowned and expanded his Spiritual Sense, wanting to take a thorough look, not wanting to cause any ruckus.

It was very well possible for a very basic cultivation level to be present in people, like Mrs Ji, who, despite living in the city was close to reaching the Black Level of the Mortal Cultivation.

Despite this being the very first baby level in the cultivation world, it would still put more than 90 percent of people on Earth behind in terms of strength.

"Hmm, there's no one who has even reached the Black level much less having one that could pose a threat to Jia."

Ye Qian thought as he looked at his watch to check the time.

There were still five minutes for the little girl to be released and seeing that there were people coming to get their children back home, Ye Qian stopped scrutinizing the place around, but still kept his Spiritual Sense active, spanning for a radius of 50 meters.

If the person did try to get close and entered this radius, Ye Qian would immediately recognize him since the Spiritual Qi would be more likely to be attracted to the person if he were a cultivator.

And if he wasn't then Ye Qian's sense would still let him know if he had any evil intentions.

In no time, five minutes passed and the bell indicating the release of the school rang.

Although it wasn't heard by the parents standing at the main gate of the school, Ye Qian could clearly hear it thanks to his enhanced senses.

He was waiting for the gate to open and to be allowed to get into his daughter when he saw a somewhat familiar figure.

Of course, it wasn't the hideous woman who had called his lovely daughter something bad, but someone whom he was just familiar with, but it was this person's brother who was his friend and a very good one at that.

The said person was Su Ren's brother Su Zen, a man in his mid-30s, dressed in a simple suit and had a slight pot belly.

Ye Qian approached him before greeting him with a smile.

"Hello."

"You are...?"

Su Zen paused, feeling that this young man seemed slightly familiar but then he frowned.

"I am Ye Qian, a friend of Su Ren."

"Ohh."

Su Zen nodded and slightly narrowed his eyes, but still gave a light laugh before saying.

"Yes, Su Ren mentioned that he met you a few days ago."

"Hmm, it hasn't been long since I returned."

Ye Qian nodded, trying to talk more.

"So, today you came to receive Guo?"

"Hmm, his mother is feeling a little feverish, and I also had an early day end at the office."

The man said without even looking at Ye Qian and started walking towards the gate.

Ye Qian followed suit since both had their children in the same class and would even be released at the same time.

"By the way, there was something I wanted to talk to you about."

Ye Qian said, eliciting a frown from Su Zen, who thought.

'Here it goes, just because my brother said that I can help you get a job doesn't mean that I will give you one right away.'

There was a slight disdain on his face on his face as if he knew why Ye Qian was trying to talk with him for so long.
