Chapter 12
C12 – All of This Was Accidental!
Yan Wen’s lips curled disdainfully upon hearing this stroke of luck.
“Wen, why are you engaging with your brother-in-law?” Third Uncle scolded Yan Wen before addressing Wu Jun. “Xiao Yu, why not showcase the Fist Style you’ve been learning for me?”
“But Third Uncle, my version of this Fist Style might differ from what you’re familiar with, as I’ve forgotten the original sequence!” Ye Yu explained.
“That’s of no consequence. Just execute the punches you’ve been practicing!” Third Uncle instructed again.
Ye Yu nodded and proceeded to demonstrate his refined Fist Style to Third Uncle.
The Fist Style that Third Uncle had learned from his master was deemed futile by Ye Yu. Through his enhancements, Ye Yu elevated it to a superior form.
Observing Third Uncle’s kindness towards him, Ye Yu decided to impart this Fist Style to him.
Despite practicing fist arts for over three decades, Third Uncle remained an external force Martial Cultivator. However, with this set of fist techniques, he could ascend to the realms of Inner Strength and Martial Cultivation.
A discerning individual, Third Uncle immediately recognized the potency of Ye Yu’s Fist Style compared to his own. He was astonished by its profundity, noting its similarities to his own Fist Style yet surpassing it in many aspects.
Could this truly be Ye Yu’s creation? If so, then Ye Yu was undoubtedly a martial arts prodigy!
“Excellent! This is remarkable! Xiao Yu, you must visit our dojo more frequently!” Third Uncle expressed his fondness for Ye Yu. If not for Ye Yu being Yan Xue’s husband, he would have considered arranging a marriage between Yan Wen and Ye Yu, allowing Ye Yu to inherit his dojo.
“I will,” Ye Yu promised.
“Alright, it’s getting late. Wen, why don’t you escort Little Yu out?” Third Uncle suggested as he contemplated practicing Ye Yu’s Fist Style. Mastery of this set would undoubtedly propel him to become an Inner Strength Martial Cultivator.
Yan Wen had no choice but to comply, saying, “Let’s go.”
As they departed, Yan Wen wasted no time in addressing Ye Yu, “Don’t think you can deceive me just because you can fool my father.”
Ye Yu stood bewildered, questioning, “What are you implying?”
“So, you’re suggesting you invited Yellow-hair?” Yan Wen pressed on, “You were aware of my father’s tracheal issues, so you directed Yellow-hair to target him specifically.” Yan Wen reiterated, “You knew about my father’s tracheal condition, so you deliberately instructed Yellow-hair to attack him there.” “Hey, why are you walking away?”
Before Yan Wen could finish her sentence, she noticed Ye Yu striding away. Hastily, she caught up, blocking his path. “Explain yourself!”
“Yan Wen, you’re making baseless accusations without any evidence,” Ye Yu countered with a shake of his head. “I have no association with Yellow-hair; I merely defeated him by chance.”
“Do you expect me to believe that?” Yan Wen questioned incredulously.
“It’s the truth!” Ye Yu affirmed.
“I also find it highly unlikely. Someone like Yellow-hair wouldn’t be at your beck and call. Moreover, you wouldn’t stand a chance against him. It must have been a stroke of luck!” Yan Wen reasoned, concluding that someone as inept as Ye Yu couldn’t possibly have defeated Yellow-hair intentionally.
It was all a matter of chance!
Ye Yu had no interest in prolonging the discussion with Yan Wen. He bid farewell to Lin Lei and departed.
The following evening, Yan Xue invited Ye Yu to a gathering with her friends. This time, the venue was a lavish hotel, and attendees consisted mainly of Yan Xue’s university peers.
The room buzzed with over a dozen young individuals, both male and female. Spotting Yan Xue, a particularly attractive woman rushed over with enthusiasm. “Xuexue, you’re finally here!”
Though the woman’s looks paled in comparison to Yan Xue’s, her endless legs were strikingly perfect—slender, snow-white, and flawlessly contoured—a treasure coveted by all men.
Yan Xue’s arrival captivated the attention of everyone present. Despite the presence of other attractive girls, they all seemed inferior in comparison.
Ye Yu sensed the gaze of the trio wasn’t benevolent; it was as though they were eyeing Yan Xue with predatory intent.
“Qin Qin, you’re here too!” Yan Xue’s face brightened upon seeing her.
“I’ve been working at Jinghai for a year now, but never had the chance to get in touch with you. It’s great to see you again, Xue Xue Xue. Who’s this?” The girl gazed curiously at Ye Yu. “Your boyfriend?”
“No, he’s my husband, Ye Yu!” Yan Xue clarified. “This is my best friend, Si Qin!”
“Hello!” Si Qin extended her hand, casting a curious glance at Ye Yu. She hadn’t expected Yan Xue to be married to him.
Once arrogant and proud, Yan Xue used to disregard the attention of numerous outstanding male students and teachers. What made Ye Yu capable enough to win such a prize?
Ye Yu reciprocated the handshake with Si Qin before letting go. Her hand felt soft and smooth, but it didn’t hold any allure for him.
Si Qin, too, was a bit taken aback. Aware of her own charm, she found it surprising that Ye Yu seemed unaffected by it.
Si Qin whispered in Yan Xue’s ear, “Your husband is quite handsome, Xue Xue Xue. You’ve got good taste!”
“What good is being handsome…” Yan Xue trailed off. “Anyway, what about you, Qin Qin? Have you found a boyfriend?” she asked.
“Boyfriend?” Si Qin scoffed. “No, it’s not me. My family keeps pressuring me to go on blind dates, and it’s driving me crazy!” she exclaimed, holding her forehead.
“Xuexue, it’s great you’re here. Sunn Ann has been waiting for you!” A woman with some beauty, though not quite on par with Si Qin and Yan Xue, approached them.
Yan Xue’s expression shifted slightly upon seeing this woman. It was evident they weren’t on good terms. She was Xiao Fen, another university classmate of Yan Xue.
Though Xiao Fen’s appearance didn’t rival theirs, she wore revealing attire, showcasing her sexy thighs and fair skin.
Walking beside Xiao Fen was a man who approached them. “Xue Xue Xue, Qin Qin, you’re both here. Looks like everyone’s arrived. This is Xue Xue Xue’s husband, right?” he said with a smile. “Nice to meet you for the first time, I’m Sunn Ann!”
Sunn Ann reached out his hand with a smile, seemingly intending to shake hands with Ye Yu.
As Sunn Ann extended his hand, two men behind him sneered, one of them murmuring, “Huang Tao, how long do you think this kid can last against Boss Sun?”
