The early morning air brought about refreshing cleanliness, and the dark green shadows of the trees gradually became distinct, revealing their original colour.

The rays of light from the first sight of the sun had not reached the warm and overgrown mountain forest when a burst of chaotic footsteps shattered the silence.

Hes over there, hurry up and catch him! A dozen or so young men were panting as they chased after something in the forest. Suddenly, one of them saw a flash of a figure fleeing frenetically and spoke up excitedly.

Damn it, watch me teach him a lesson when laozi catches him; he actually dares to flee from this old hand. A rough-faced man in about his thirties let out curses, feeling flustered and exasperated. His malicious eyes glared hatefully at the prey in its final struggle.

Shu Jintian did not return even after hearing those words. With his last breath, he rapidly ran forward. There wasnt a path in the wild mountain forest. Everything before ones eyes was messy vegetation, as well as straight trees every interval.

There were weeds congesting his path forward, so Shu Jintian was forced to use both hands to recklessly open a path. His foot stepped on unknown grassroots as he madly fled without differentiating the path.

The raised branches and leaves hit his face and body, leaving behind red marks, and even the skin on his face was scratched and scraped, seeping out blood. However, Shu Jintian couldnt feel it at all, and only knew that he was running and running nonstop. If he even relaxed one bit, he would be finished.

As the eldest di son of the Shu family which led S Citys business world, outsiders would assume that he was the heir to the Shu family.

Their business rivals would attack him as the simplest and most effective way to strike at their enterprises. After all, no matter how powerful Shu Batian was, without a successor, what use was there over guarding such an immense wealth? It was ridiculous; did they think that they would be able to defeat that cheap dad of his if he was gone? The outside world only knew that he was a child of the Shu family but did not know that he was merely an additional product from a business marriage. Shu Batian, that callous and cold-hearted man, did not have the slightest affection towards him as a father.

It was two years ago when he discovered that he unexpectedly had a brother older than him by two months, who he had never met before.

Slowly, he learnt that this entire Shu family was something Shu Batian left for his elder brother, and his identity as an heir was just a target to help defend his brother against attacks.

Moreover, the risky situation he was currently trapped in was also his elder brothers design. He already couldnt wait any longer, right? Was this identity as an heir that good? He didnt even want it! That idiot brother of his, without Shu Jintian obstructing risks for him, he might not even be alive to take over the Shu family enterprises.

The voices behind him were getting nearer and Shu Jintians heart had already leapt to his throat as the voices directly jumped towards his ears.

His hazy line of sight became clear and distinct. The originally withered and yellow autumn scene became full of vibrant plants in dense green colours.

There were unusually tall trees that towered into the sky. The fertile and flamboyant bushes were rampantly occupying a large domain and the place it occupied had no gaps for feet to step in.

Shu Jintian abruptly awakened with a start and quickly turned his head back. The bandits who had been hot on his heels had disappeared. Even the messy path he had opened had vanished without a trace.

In the tranquil deep mountains, there were bursts of ear-piercing insect cries. A large palm-sized butterfly flew in front of him, its colour gorgeous and strange and carrying a fragrant scent. It was a strange breed, and he didnt know if it was poisonous.

Shu Jintian carelessly waved it away with his hand and sat on the ground, strengthless and paralysed.

Cautiously observing his surrounding environment, he saw that the changes were great. Though it was still a mountain forest, compared to when he came- no, compared to a minute ago, the world was as different as night and day. It had undoubtedly been late autumn, yet it was now unbearably hot.

Soon, Shu Jintians inner clothes were soaked with sweat. He took off both his jacket and sweater, leaving on a single layer. The sweat evaporated from the damp and hot clothes and cooled him down a lot quicker.

The strange spectacle astonished Shu Jintian. All the changes had happened right before his eyes, and it was hard for him to be in disbelief.

He thought, he had transmigrated!

After all, he was still a university student still doing his studies and was a frequent visitor of Qidian, so he wasnt unfamiliar with the term transmigrate. With such a strange accident occurring, his first response was naturally transmigration!

Although, this was just too lousy of a lottery prize!

But to be able to retain his life was still worth it! It really was an unexpected rescue from danger; though he was now in a completely unfamiliar environment. In any case, it was still better than being captured and brought back. That idiot brother of his, in order to be washed clean of evidence, he found someone to pull off a false kidnapping, on the pretence of having money as the goal. To increase its genuinity, he didnt directly kill him off, which allowed him this chance to live.

Shu Jintian rested for a very long time before he slowly got up. However, his strained muscles were still physiologically trembling.

He had begun his fleeing from the latter half of the night, the time when people were on their lowest guard. All the way till now, it had already been several hours before he finally got to rest. Continuously fleeing for several hours had consumed too much of his physical strength. Shu Jintian was now strengthless from head to toe.

The tall trees shaded him from most of the sunlight, but there was still enough to dazzle his eyes. Passing through the dense shadows of the trees, it shone onto the floor in mottled spots.

According to the angle of the sunlight hitting the floor, Shu Jintian determined that it was currently afternoon, which further confirmed the fact that he had transmigrated.

With one hand leaning on a temporarily made crutch, he used it to find a path and drive away poisonous insects and snakes.

Shu Jintian began to search for a way out of the forest. On the way, he ate some green fruit that had some wormholes; it was very bitter but also very quenching. He used his pockets to store away a few since it was something useful when he was thirsty.

He did not know when, but his surroundings became abnormally quiet. Shu Jintian vigilantly stopped in his tracks.

There was a faint sound of wind behind his ear. Shu Jintian dodged to the left and that object threw itself into empty air, then scuttled forward a few steps.

Shu Jintian seized the opportunity to turn his head over. It was an unknown beast of earthly yellow colour and was about the size of a wild wolf. It had sharp fangs, and its eyes hungrily locked onto him.

Goddamn, how unlucky!

Shu Jintians nerves were stretched taut as he stared closely at the beast not even five meters away from him.

Both sides confronted each other, counting the seconds passing by. The pawing beast was the first to break the peace, and with a kick, ferociously launched itself at Shu Jintian.

Shu Jintian dodged sideways and slashed at the beasts side abdomen in passing. The Burrowing Beast was startled and angered, letting out a howl.

That dagger was something he had devised as a way to steal from a certain bandit before he had fled. It just so happened to be useful now.

The Burrowing Beast suffered an injury but became even braver as it fought. To it, it was too humiliating to be harmed by such a weak female. Originally, he saw that this female was on its own, which was why he dared to come for this easy picking. Always being hunted by beastmen had caused them to long become hateful yet fearful of beastmen. This time, seeing a female appear alone, it wanted to let off some steam. It could also have a good meal.

Shu Jintian was shoved onto the ground, and he grasped the Burrowing Beasts neck, stopping it from biting him. The other hand had a firm grasp on the dagger, andaiming at the beasts eyeresolutely stabbed down.

A beastly, earth-shaking howl seemed to have broken his eardrums. The beast began to frenetically shake its head and attempt to break away from the thing in its eye socket.

Shu Jintian was nearly shaken off, but to avoid becoming the passive party again, both his legs clamped onto the beasts flank. His hand holding the dagger pressed in with even more strength.

A human and a beast continuously rolled around on the floor, crushing the miscellaneous plants that had weathered through wind and rain.

Shu Jintian exhausted all his strength and the dagger finally sank its entire blade into the beasts eye socket before he ripped it out.

Its brain had been impaled. When the dagger was pulled out, a great amount of blood squirted out, splashing Shu Jintians entire face with blood.

The Burrowing Beast lost its strength and twitched all over. As its twitching slowed down, its breathing also stopped.

Shu Jintian confirmed that the beast was already completely dead, and his spurt of adrenaline also dispersed into nothing.

He lost his strength all over, and though he knew that the blood would attract other carnivorous animals, the exhausted him was already incapable of taking even half a step and he passed out next to the bloodied beast.

The air was flooded with the odour of fresh blood, and travelled very far with the wind. Very soon, it attracted a python that was dark green all over.

It was just that what had attracted him wasnt the blood. What truly made him interested was the unconscious female on the ground.

The python spat out its forked tongue and licked at the weak female on the floor. Its breathing was very weak, but still had a smidgen of breath flowing. Very good, its still alive!

The snake that was as long as 20 meters swayed its serpentine tail, and swept up both the person and beast, and slithered over to its snake nest in a superb mood.
