Chapter 6
Chapter 6: A Casualty – Part 2
A lot of older females could not help wanting to cry when they heard the young female sobbing.
“Yuanyuan is so pitiful. She only recently became partners with Meng Ze. How could this happen?”
“Yuanyuan, why don’t you get up? Chief isn’t a healer, so it’s not like he can cure Meng Ze.”
“That’s right, Yuanyuan. If you hurry over to the stream, you might get to see Meng Ze one last time…”
“That’s nonsense! The Beast God will protect Meng Ze and make sure he survives!”
Yuanyuan knelt on the ground stubbornly.
Cain pursed his lips and said, “We don’t have a healer in the tribe. Since Meng Ze isn’t a Divine Warrior, he is too badly injured to survive the trip to Great Eagle Tribe!”
Yuanyuan’s eyes lit up. She hurriedly stood up and whispered something to Cain softly.
Cain’s eyes glimmered a little. Although his face remained calm, Su Tang could sense that he was excited and happy.
Cain waved to the beasts, who were still standing around. “It’s already halfway through the rainy season, so we have to stockpile enough firewood or we won’t survive winter. Everyone else who’s free should collect firewood!”
The moment he gave the order, the remaining beasts who were standing around immediately scattered.
Cain nodded to Yuanyuan. “Let’s go see Meng Ze.”
Yuanyuan looked at Cain in gratitude. “Thank you, Chief! With your help, I’m sure Meng Ze will survive it!”
As Cain started to walk, he recalled the female he was still holding hands with!
In an instant, he did not know what to do. How could he bring her to the stream? What if she could not bear the bloody sight?
Yuanyuan instantly became anxious when she noticed that Cain stopped moving. “Chief? Anything else?”
Cain shook his head.
Forget it. Saving Meng Ze was a priority, especially since he had just become a Divine Warrior!
If the female felt frightened by the gore, he would help cover her eyes.
After making up his mind, the three of them headed to the stream.
Meng Ze was genuinely badly injured. The injury started at the chest and slanted down to the left side of his waist. The blood flowing from him had almost soaked the earth beneath him.
Su Tang instinctively frowned. If this went on, the beast might die soon from excessive blood loss.
Cain frowned too. “If we can’t stop the bleeding, he won’t even make it out of our territory!”
Yuanyuan ran over and grabbed Old Nick by the arm. “Old Nick, help Meng Ze stop the bleeding! If this goes on, he might end up meeting our maker!”
Green Fruit went up to help support Yuanyuan and comforted her, “Calm down. Old Nick needs to help Meng Ze stop the bleeding. Let’s stand aside and wait!”
Yuanyuan finally noticed Old Nick holding his precious earthenware jar and quickly let go of him.
Cain went over with Su Tang.
Cain was relieved to see that the female was not afraid or uncomfortable.
Old Nick slightly bowed when he saw Cain. “Chief, you’re here!”
He turned to look at Su Tang standing behind Cain, and his pupils constricted slightly. He asked casually, “Who is this?”
Cain waved his hand. “She is my female. We can talk later. Help Meng Ze stop the bleeding first!”
Meng Ze was genuinely gravely injured. His face was increasingly pale, and he did not even have the strength to speak.
Old Nick glanced at Su Tang deeply and said nothing.
Old Nick removed some soil from the earthenware jar and wanted to apply it to Meng Ze’s injury.
Su Tang’s eyes opened wide. When she realized what Old Nick was about to do, she shouted, “No, stop…”
