Best Delinquent Wife's Order: Rise Again, Hubby

Chapter 36

Chapter 36

Anhao instantly felt chills down her spine. She looked back and saw that Zuo Hancheng was already walking toward her. She quickly covered her chest and rolled over to the other side of the bed. When he was near, she immediately rolled her eyes and plopped herself down forcefully on the bed.

If being imposing was not enough, then acting should do it!

Pretend to pass out!

Let’s see what he could do about that!

In the twenty-nine years of his life, it was the first time Zuo Hancheng had met such an eccentric, unreasonable and fickle, yet uncontrollable little brat.

He saw her shutting her eyes tightly while cocking her head aside but her body was all tensed up and she was highly cautious. Even though it was extremely childish, he was actually humored by her.

His hand did not land on her chest but he gave her a knock on the head, “You’re still quite inexperienced if you want to show off your acting skills in front of me.”

Anhao instantly opened her eyes, quickly sat up and covered her chest as she retreated backward.

His words were true. Shengling Group had numerous well-known businesses under their name, be they big or small. From real estate businesses to electronic businesses to the international economy, and various other industries. The Shengling Group had even invested in the top two entertainment companies in the country.

When it came to such a thing like acting, she presumed that many small-time actors had put up an act in front of him, wishing to butter up to a man like him. A side character like her did not need to waste her time on acting to embarrass herself.

“When do I get discharged?”

She then changed the subject, her hands still covering her chest as she was afraid he would reveal his animalistic side.

“I don’t have time tomorrow. If you’re worried, I’ll let Mobai come get you and have you discharged from the hospital.” In the end, Zuo Hancheng did not provoke her any further.

“I don’t care if you have time or not. I’ll call a cab myself to take me back to school.”

After having fallen so ill, Anhao seemed to have a sudden realization.

She felt that she could not put herself in a position that was too demeaning for her in front of Zuo Hancheng. Since she had to live with him like this before he would agree to a divorce, she must change this tormenting lifestyle to one that she would like!

She could not be completely oppressed by him! That was why even her tone was not as compliant as it was before; it sounded like she was taunting him.

The best thing that could happen was that he would not be able to tolerate her anymore, then choose to hand her the divorce papers and give her back her freedom!

Zuo Hancheng glanced at her and he could see right through her but he did not expose her. “Seeing that you’re still half a patient, I’ll allow you to keep a few of these bags of junk food. Remember, there will be no next time.”

Anhao glanced at the two big bags of junk food and sighed in relief.

Finally, she won this round of her fight for junk food.

“You can eat the junk food if you want but remember to take supplement classes for those you’ve missed during your stay in the hospital. I will check personally next week.”

“What?!” Anhao was shocked.

Zuo Hancheng’s cold stare fell upon on her expression, it was like she had just witnessed the end of the world. His lips curved into a slight, handsome smile, one of his hands in his pocket and his posture calm but elegant.

Anhao’s face immediately turned maroon red. Not only did she miss this week’s classes, she had not paid attention to any of the usual classes in school!

Was he really going to check next week? Did that mean that she had to revise all three years’ worth of high school work in a week?!

How! Was! That! Possible!

Mobai really did come the next day to fetch Anhao from the hospital.

Sitting in the high-class business coach that Mobai was driving, Anhao kept on fiddling with her new phone, scrolling through pages and pages of websites. She once again looked at the direction in which they were going. Once she was sure he was taking her back to the school and not Giltview Gardens, she breathed a sigh of relief.

“Ms. Gu, it’s already December. One more month and you’re going to have your holidays, right?”

Mobai tried to pick a topic so that he could chat with her as he was driving—just so this lady would not have to maintain this cautious and formal demeanor of hers.

“Uh, I think so.” Anhao answered absent-mindedly.

“President Zuo told me a few days ago to find a home tutor in A City for you. May I know what kind of person you would like to have as your home tutor, Ms. Gu?”

“Home tutor?” Anhao quickly turned around and looked at him in shock.

Mobai smiled lightly. “Yes. I have contacted a few home tutors with a rather decent reputation. Since it’s an order from President Zuo, I hope to find someone that meets Ms. Gu’s expectations. So, what type of person would you like?”

It seemed that when Zuo Hancheng said that he would check her school work next week, he was not joking!

Anhao once again felt fire burning in her head. There was one more month until her holidays which also meant that there was one more month until her final exams. Was this Zuo Hancheng’s way of torturing her?!

She turned her head to the right and stared outside the window sullenly. “Any type is fine! Best if it’s a guy! A good looking guy that’s pleasing to the eyes! A feast for my eyes will heavily affect how serious I am when I’m studying!”

Mobai was stunned momentarily before he smiled and said, “Alright, understood.”

After she got down from the car, Anhao did not return to school immediately. She invited Chunchun and Huang Amao out. Before returning to school, she wanted to explain about her and Zuo Hancheng’s relationship to them in a café outside of school.

Even though these two were the worst of the bunch, they were part and parcel of her life. There were some things that she would not need to hide from them.

Three cups of milk tea were placed on the table. Chunchun and Huang Amao glanced at Anhao from time to time when they were drinking from their cups, waiting for her to confess.

“When I was in the hospital, nothing big happened in school, right?” Anhao opened her mouth first.

“Nothing big happened.” Huang Amao rested her chin on her palm. “That was why me and Chunchun felt that it was strange. The two Xu guys were suddenly ordered to drop out of school, you suddenly took sick leave and got admitted into a hospital for a week, but the academic director didn’t even suspect you for faking your illness to skip classes. Also, that super, super, super top-notch handsome man that we met at the hospital that day. These are all really suspicious!”

“And, about Mr. Yi…” Chunchun also started speaking.

“Don’t talk about Mr. Yi.” Anhao suddenly interrupted her, “He’s not related to me in any way whatsoever. I’m a Gu family member, he’s an Yi family member!”

Seeing Anhao being so heartless, Chunchun and Huang Amao did not mention him again and pouted. “Explain yourself.”

Anhao paused for a moment and started speaking, “Chunchun, do you remember about a month ago when we were at the bar. That day, I…”

“Oh my God! Eri jumped off a building!”

A high-pitched voice came from the table beside them and surprised all three of them. They subconsciously turned in that direction to see what had happened.

From their uniform, they should be female students from the class next to theirs in A high. Each of them had a fashion magazine in their hands. All of them were gathered together because of a piece of gossip.

“Erica? Wasn’t she one of the new top four female stars that was made popular by Yixing Entertainment recently? She has contracts with almost all the prime-time TV series during the summer holidays! Why would she commit suicide when she’s so popular?!”

“Look! According to the news, it was because of relationship reasons…”

The female students chattered on as they formed a circle. They had a lot of Erica’s fans in school, even Huang Amao who would always pay attention to every move in the entertainment industry could not help but listen attentively.

“It says here that when Erica attended the annual Yixing charity dinner last week, she had the chance to meet the biggest investor of Yixing—the legendary president of Shengling Group, Zuo Hancheng!”
