BIOLOGICAL SUPERCOMPUTER SYSTEM

Chapter 44 A Goal

The duo quickly left the building after having signed some papers. They then took Benjamin's car and went toward Erik's house while flying above the city's streets.

Benjamin's car wasn't as luxurious as Amber's one, but it wasn't bad either. It had all the comforts one could ask for; a huge ass screen on the car's dashboard was present, and the seats were made from leather.

The interior of the car was mostly white, with red trimming around its edges, giving off an overall feeling that this car belonged to someone who cared about what they drove.

This thought seemed even more likely when he noticed how well-kept the vehicle looked in comparison to other cars.

Before they reached Erik's house, the two men talked about this and that. After stopping in front of the building, Erik jumped out of the vehicle. He went to the driver's side and looked at Benjamin gratefully.

"Thank you, uncle Ben," the young man said.

"Don't mention it, Erik. If you need anything, don't hesitate to tell me. Ok?"

"Yeah, don't worry," Erik said.

Benjamin then gave gas to the vehicle, which suddenly flew up in the air, reaching travel height. He then went toward the western district since he lived there with the other militaries.

Erik walked toward his apartment and got inside. He closed the door and slouched on the couch as soon as he was inside the room. He checked his body to see if there were wounds that the healer had missed, but luckily there weren't.

the young man then picked up his phone, Erik had time to complete his quest, but he decided not to make neural links.

"Quests," the young man said.

Since he was at the hospital, Erik couldn't train, as usual, so he decided to do it at home. He trained for several hours; that way, he was able to release a little bit of the tension and anxiety he built during the day. Then, the usual notification rang inside Erik's mind.

"Good..."

Later, Erik went to his computer; he decided to make Logan and his friends pay for what they did to him. He had had enough. For many years, he dreamed about making them pay for what they did, but unfortunately, he didn't have the power to do so, but now things were different. He had the opportunity to make things right and decided to not waste time.

Erik spent the rest of the time available to write a letter to Logan, which he planned to put in his locker at school. In that anonymous letter, Erik told Logan he was a coward and many other things; he insulted his mother, his father, and every relative he had.

The letter ended by telling Logan to meet him at the train station if he had the guts. Knowing the little prick, he knew this was enough to let the bully go nuts and go where he wanted.

Erik then went to his wardrobe and picked up a mask that he planned to use the following day to not be recognized. Once finished, he went to bed and fell asleep without thinking much about the next day's events.

The following day started as usual. Erik woke up, checked his quest, and completed the first one, gaining ten additional DNA points. Erik quickly dressed and washed, then left the house in earnest.

Despite having decided to get rid of Conal, Orson and Logan once and for all, Erik didn't feel nervous. In his mind, there was only one thing, resolve. That would be the day he would take revenge against those three bastards, no matter what it took.

As Erik walked through the city streets, he observed the people walking by, most of whom ignored him, except for a few others who casually glanced at him. Erik paid attention to none of them since his mind was elsewhere. His eyes were set straight ahead, focused on the goal he wished to reach.

After some time, he arrived at the train station and later to the school gate.

In front of the gate, Amber, Floyd, and Gwen were waiting for him. Erik didn't know why they started doing so, but he didn't have time to waste with them at the moment.

"Hey, Erik!" Amber said.

He looked her straight in the eyes and said, in a not-so-pleasant way, "I don't have time now, sorry," and then walked toward the entrance where the lockers were kept.

"What's wrong with him today?" Floyd said.

"Maybe he didn't sleep well," Gwen replied.

The trio then went toward their room, ignoring Erik, while the latter went to Logan's locker and placed the letter in without anyone noticing.

Afterward, he went to his classroom, where his classmates bothered him again, but Erik didn't care. In his mind, there was only one thing, revenge.

The students reached the gym at a certain hour to train their powers with professor McAllister. Each one of them had some space at their disposal where they unleashed their power without consequences. This was the first time, since he got his second power that Erik had this class.

As Nathaniel did, Erik directly went toward some of the training dummies, and once there, he started his daily quest by training in the Kyokar hand-to-hand style.

This time, the young man channeled mana through his brain crystal and redirected it toward his arms. A thin coat of the ethereal substance enveloped his appendages, and as soon as Erik willed it, the mana thinned, becoming sharper and sharper.

Then, Erik started training; he practiced his moves against the dummy while the other students watched him.

He was still clumsy, compared to most of them that trained since they were children, but they had to admit that the young man improved by leaps and bounds in the small time frame he had available to train.

They were aware that professor McAllister was training Erik, and they also knew that whoever got trained by him had a very high chance of getting amazing results in the military

As Erik unleashed punch after punch on the poor dummy, cuts started accumulating on it. Erik Kicked, chopped, punched, he even hit the dummy with his head, and lastly, he channeled mana into his arm, increasing the sharpness of his appendages and severing it in half.

All under the astonished eyes of the other students. While he did so, both professor McAllister and Nathaniel observed him. One with a satisfied look, the other with a contemplative one.

[QUEST COMPLETED.]

Erik returned to his classroom when the training session ended, following the rest of the lessons. He couldn't concentrate, though, since he fantasized about how he would end Logan and his friends once and for all.
