Chapter 235: Advancement!
It was time. Today was the day Draco had been working towards since the start. Today… was the day he would become a high celestial.
*Vroooooom*
It was worth noting that aside from the subordinates who were on a mission to devour as many worlds as possible, Draco was also on his journey with Yapa by his side. The plan to devour as many realms as possible was not stopped and Draco managed to devour many such worlds.
He only aimed for worlds with a high celestial or even multiple, not going for lower worlds, or higher worlds with true celestials protecting them yet. He wasn't on that stage yet, and truthfully, it wasn't worth it currently.
Thus, he focused on speed and efficiency.
Let's not forget that Draco was also following the righteous path of celestialhood, where he had Palkus as a blessed one, and the young man had done a very good job. A job so well done, in fact, that Draco would have become a high celestial just a few months after.
Unfortunately, Palkus wasn't enough, and by now, he couldn't accomplish anything greater than he had already done. It wasn't impossible, just hard, and not enough for Draco.
Also, keep in mind that time passed differently, thus, whatever benefits Palkus could present for Draco, they were already gained.
So, Draco could either look for a blessed one who would walk a completely different path, or… well, there's no or.
That's all there was to it.
Becoming a high celestial didn't come with as many aftereffects and explosion as one would expect, but mainly because Draco found such things useless and would rather use that time to move towards his goal.
The time difference between Portalia and the outside world could become ridiculous at any time now. And if Draco saw it from a celestial's point of view, it meant that he could farm as many blessed ones as possible.
He was going to do so, In fact, he had to, but, for now, he had to call out Palkus and his sister. Before doing so and making them celestials, he couldn't take any other blessed one.
The thing is, Palkus cannot become a celestial due to the anti-celestials rule, however, what he could become was a devourer.
For now, Draco was planning on doing something different, something he had put on hold until now. And that was…
"Going back to the prison realm."
Indeed, Draco was going back to the prison realm, but the reason he was going to do so was to bring back the three celestials who were banished there.
Yes, Truth, Time, and Night. Out of respect for truth and a little bit of why not? Draco decided to mess around with there anti-celestials and bring out the ones they purged.
And so he teleported away, not with his main body, but with a temporary clone.
When Draco reappeared again, he was atop the flattened station he was in. He was quite surprised and didn't understand what could have possibly caused it to be destroyed like this when the commander and the elders were here to make sure nothing bad happened.
His curiosity got the better of him and the demon used his powers to bring out truths from the past.
"Well, well. Isn't this unexpected." A smile surfaced on his face when he came to learn that it was the cute little elf that was clinging to him whenever she had the chance who did this.
"Elfina, Oh, Elfina. Who would have thought you were able to cause something like this." Draco was proud, not because Elfina managed to destroy the city, but because this once again proved that he was strange, anomalous, and his existence crazy enough that it made anything he came across or shared a past with turn out or change into something unnatural.
For a pure and cute Elfina to turn into a witch capable of destorying a long-living, light-year-wide station protected by dozens of Origin Emperors? Oh how proud he was.
It was true, he was no chosen one, this was something he believed whole heartedly. The world didn't favor him; his story wasn't full of ridiculous turns and twists, No, he was just too broken to exist.
He made himself a protagonist with his own achievements, if anything. But there were many enemies that could sniff him out if he wasn't as careful. Things that he avoided with careful planning and meticulous actions were landmines that he was sure he would have regretted ever chosing.
An example of this was the Unbound Enigma evolution he skipped. That was a death trap, a full on dead end that would have led him straight to his death.
It was true, he was lucky, he had broken unique skills and his system, he never denied this. But to deny that he himself didn't play a part in his survival was utterly foolish.
Had he just gotten haughtier and killed the 4th years, instructors, or elders of the celestial academy, he would have been hunted to death, and he wouldn't have even been able to enter the prison safely. Heck, even the elders who favored him so much would have made sure he never saw the light of Portalia ever again the second he put his hand in the station.
All in all, Draco was proud of himself. He was proud of his achievements. He was proud of what he had done, of what he created, of what he would become, and of what his every step led to.
The little tribe that changed Portalia entirely, the little child who became a monarch, the countless geniuses and elites he didn't even give a chance to shine and the unparalleled talents like Alexander and Leona who struggled to catch his shadow.
Draco did everything nonchalantly as if it were the easiest thing in the world, all of this stemmed from one thing: his never-ending, burning desire to conquer greater worlds, to have the entirety of this galaxy, universe, even the Great Mother or whoever it was under his feet.
He would do so even if he had to commit the most hideous of crimes.
'How Bold.'
