Demon Lord Gets Married

Chapter 7

C7 – Automatically Send to Your Door

Carrying a wild rabbit, Yin Xu made his way back to the Huo Family Villa. From a distance, he spotted the butler pacing anxiously, craning his neck to scan the surroundings.

Catching sight of Yin Xu, the butler’s eyes brightened, his expression betraying deep concern.

Yin Xu felt a twinge of emotion. In his previous life, many feared and respected him, yet not a single soul genuinely cared for him.

Recollecting fragments of his past, he recalled associating with an elderly Taoist. Upon discovering Yin Xu’s unique physique, Old Devil Mo murdered the Taoist, intending to use Yin Xu as a vessel.

Were it not for the Taoist’s cultivation deviation and his incitement of others to rebel, Yin Xu would have perished.

Following Old Devil Yin’s demise, Yin Xu appropriated an incomplete cultivation technique and several vials of pills. Concealing himself at the base of a cliff, he cultivated for two decades, emerging only after attaining Foundation Establishment.

Initially discreet, Yin Xu secluded himself until reaching the Nascent Soul stage, then began stirring up trouble.

Having unified the demonic realm, he became revered like a deity by demonic cultivators, while the righteous cultivators shunned him, particularly after he obliterated several prominent sects.

The lantern by the door cast a soft glow, softening Yin Xu’s countenance as he handed the rabbit to the butler, inquiring casually, “Is there hot water available?”

Old Housekeeper visibly startled by the sight in Yin Xu’s arms, exclaimed, “Young Master, where did you find this?”

“He stumbled upon me,” Yin Xu replied truthfully.

Old Housekeeper chuckled awkwardly, “Indeed, it seems so.”

Yin Xu shrugged, proceeding into the room. As he walked, he directed, “Have Wu Sheng fetch two buckets of hot water for my room. Meanwhile, retrieve the fabric County Magistrate Chen brought today from the storeroom.” It was time to procure new attire for himself and his staff.

“Young Master…” the butler interjected urgently, “This matter can wait. We have guests…”

“Hmm? Who’s here?”

“Indeed…” Before the butler could respond, a furious voice erupted: “Seventh Brother has returned! Enter this instant!”

Yin Xu furrowed his brows, sharing a significant glance with the butler.

Just as he fretted over the opportunity to connect with the Huo Family, fate seemed to knock at his door.

Brushing sand from his sleeve, he entered with a smile.

He sought to assess whether the individual who had dared to challenge him, the Demon Lord, had undergone any remarkable changes.

Even if the tiger faced the midday sun, it did not signify submission to the harassment of mere dogs!

Accustomed to oil lamps, Yin Xu deduced that these candles constituted the household’s entire supply. Evidently, the butler had taken great care in accommodating the visiting guests.

Yet, within the room, only four or five individuals were seated, each accompanied by at least four bodyguards. The individual in question, a well-dressed young man in his twenties, exuded a cold demeanor.

A soft murmur of uncertainty escaped someone’s lips, discerned by Yin Xu to be the same individual who had summoned him.

“Yiloong, is this the Seventh Young Master of your Huo Family, incapable of martial prowess by nature?” Inquiring from the main seat, the young man wore a smirk tinged with malice, unsettling those present.

Huo Yiloong rubbed his head, visibly unsure. Were it not for the striking resemblance to his father, he might have hesitated to acknowledge him.

Was this still the same inept individual from three years prior? Regardless, Huo Yiloong harbored resentment towards this useless younger brother.

He furrowed his brows, reprimanding, “Seventh brother, why haven’t you promptly paid your respects to the First Prince? Has no one educated you on proper etiquette?”

With the aid of the previous owner’s memories, Yin Xu recognized Huo Yiloong as the fifth sibling of this body, yet also as one of his most despised individuals.

Three years prior, upon his return home, he endured numerous taunts from this fifth brother. Enduring being locked in the latrine for an entire night, he became the subject of ridicule throughout the Huo Family.

Despite this mistreatment, no one came to Huo Tian’s defense, let alone administered any significant punishment.

“Fifth brother jests. Being from the countryside, someone like me naturally lacks refinement in etiquette. Perhaps you could assist?” Seating himself at the table without invitation, Yin Xu assumed authority, directing, “Xiao Wu, ascertain if the kitchen staff has departed. Prepare a table of food and wine for our esteemed guests.”

Emerging from a shadowy corner, Wu Sheng swiftly responded as he darted away, his pace resembling that of a rabbit’s. One could only speculate how long he had been concealed there.

“No need, we’ve already dined at the restaurant,” the First Prince declared calmly, casting a disdainful glance at Yin Xu. With an air of natural superiority, he remarked, “Rumors are indeed unreliable. Although Seventh Young Master Huo may be a bit plump, he’s hardly resembling a round ball.”

“Yiloong, you’re exaggerating. I find Seventh Young Master’s resemblance to Uncle Huo quite striking, even more so than yours,” remarked the man beside Huo Yiloong.

“Humph! Resemblance means nothing if one lacks substance. He’s still worthless!”

Huo Yiloong, the youngest son of Huo Zhengquan’s current legal wife, had been lavished with attention since childhood. Endowed with decent natural talent, he harbored a sense of superiority over others, particularly looking down on his ineffectual younger brother, Huo Tian.

Over the course of his life, Huo Zhengquan had taken three wives, the most recent hailing from the northwest, reportedly a princess from a small western kingdom.

Yin Xu remained silent in response to their remarks. He detested when people made assumptions based on his appearance, and he harbored a distaste for those who bore resemblance to him in this world.
