Chapter 250 250 – Retro Game Center
My ladies, now dressed in clothes appropriate to this world, looked at the red neon sign on a building.
"Retro game center?" Emily scratched her hair. "That's an odd name. What is it supposed to be? A centerpiece for games? And what does Retro mean?"
"All of you will be surprised." I chuckled, locked my van, checked my phone briefly, then showed them the screen. "Look, we've become big news. The whole world already knows about us."
Those women gasped or widened their eyes, looking at the photos of our attempt to escape.
"But we just ran away last night!" Lexi looked completely bewildered. "There's no way the whole world would know!"
"Is that us?" Emily grimaced while observing those CCTV images. "How can this image exist on such a small device. It's not a crystal ball, is it?"
"Think of it as this world's crystal ball." I chuckled again, feeling even more amused by their expressions. Then, I opened a social media and wrote a name. "And look, Ayre's twin has denied the rumors of her running off with us. This was also seen by the whole world."
Phisovia brought her face closer to her cellphone screen. "Very well written."
Ah, they are unfamiliar with the concept of a keypad or keyboard.
"They can write something down and send it around the world?" Ayre, wearing a mask to hide her face, shook her head. "If they write it wrong, they could start a war."
"Not that extreme." I put that device in my trouser pocket. "Even if there was a war, it would only be exchanging texts like this…. Ah, let's not wait any longer. Let's have fun."
"Is it alright to delay our journey like this, my lord?" Velvet asked.
"Well, I wanted to take one of you to meet my parents, so they would know I'm not alone." I smiled. "And all of you will have a little competition to see who goes with me. I can't take you all. They're going to think I'm crazy."
Phisovia cleared her throat. "But can't that be used to determine other things? Lord Vorn is in his true form right now. In our world, his body might change, just like Ayre said. So, this is the only chance…. Well, you know… To do that with Lord Vorn's true form… Sorry, but I'm not sure you can handle all of us with a body like that, Lord Vorn."
I laughed until my stomach stiffened. "You are awesome, Phisovia!!! Alright, we'll have a competition for that!!!"
"I will try my best!!!" Lexi is excited.
Emily commented. "That means Velvet will be eliminated automatically, right? Lord Vorn's current body can't handle the heat from her body."
The dragon woman's chin immediately dropped. Poor her.
I sat on one of the arcade machine seats, watching them take turns playing mini-basketball. I don't need to play because I'm satisfied to see them having fun to the fullest.
"I give up." Emily sighed as she approached me. "I can't win."
I held the supreme undead hand. The cold I feel is still the same as before. "Don't worry. I've also planned something interesting for you guys."
Her gaze fell on the arcade machine behind me. "That's… Like a mini soccer at our place."
"Aah, that's the true form of soccer." I stared at the machine's screen showing the gameplay snippet. "Without a cage, with a wider field, and played by 11 people in each team."
Shit. Why do I remember my dream of becoming a professional soccer player?
"You seem to be really fond of that game." Emily continued. "To the extent that you brought this game to that world."
I paused. "Soccer is a very famous game in this world. The players are sometimes even more famous than world leaders. They are also rich and watched by millions of people."
"Really?" The supreme undead raised an eyebrow. "Just by kicking a ball? I feel like this world is getting more and more absurd."
"My dream was to become the greatest soccer player on earth." I flashed a faint smile, then pulled up my right pants, revealing a scar extending from my ankle to my calf. "But my dream was shattered because of an incident. The way of healing in this world isn't like that world, you know? They don't have magic to actually heal wounds."
"Then what happened after that? You decided to go to another world?"
I shook my head. "There were times I didn't know what to do. I had no purpose in my life for years."
The supreme undead continued to stare at the scar. I know that she understands how it feels to have no purpose.
"So…." She smiled though her eyes filled with tears. "That's what made you insist on getting me, even to the point of sacrificing one of your eyes."
I just smiled back.
"Yay!!!" Phisovia's voice caught our attention.
The red-haired succubus was jumping for joy while Lexi was curled up on the floor, Ayre was stunned with a blank expression, and Velvet stared back at me.
Looks like we already have a winner.
"She can come with you to meet your parents, lord Vorn," Phisovia suggested while stroking her hand. "Let's go. I can't wait anymore."
I wrapped my arms around the dragon woman's waist. She looked so shocked that she couldn't even respond.
"It's okay, my love," I whispered to her. "In the end, we'll be able to do that again."
I wake her up by squeezing her ass, triggering her to flinch and blush.
***
At first, they were amazed by the many LCD screens and other games in that place. I had to persuade them to play. And it didn't take long for them to enjoy it.
Starting from playing alien shooting games, racing, clubbing frog heads from holes, and so on. They all laughed, confused, surprised, and amazed by it all.
And it seems they forgot to count their wins to determine the champion.
In my world, games like this have been abandoned due to high-end home gaming systems and VR devices. However, for them, this is something new.
I just want them to know about one of the things I like in this world.
Because my woman is excited, the other visitors, who are not many, pay attention to us. I can't deny that I'm proud of this. They must be fascinated by the beauty and behavior of my ladies.
