Chapter 11: Fraternity and Meal
Chapter 11: Fraternity and Meal
Urh uhh.
Roughly two days had passed since Akanes mouth had been stitched shut. Even the blood in the wound had begun to clot.
Little by little, Akanes flesh began to adapt to the wire, and the feeling of discomfort should have gradually faded away.
And yet, Akane had been crying non-stop for the past two days. Even though her hands had been freed from the restraints and she was even able to get a little bit of freedom, every time she touched her mouth, Akane would shed large drops of tears and sob over and over again.
Why was Akane crying? It was beyond my grasp. I did not understand.
Hey, hey, its not natural to cry. I am punishing you because you made a mistake and correcting you for the right reasons. To guide you down the right path. So why are you crying? Whats there not to appreciate?
Having committed a crime, punishment would be imposed on the guilty. It was a natural order of things for a human being, right?
Akane cursed me foul-mouthed and hurt me. Therefore, I subjected Akane to punishment. Nothing was wrong with this equation at all.
So, why did Akane act as if she was the only one who suffered the loss and damage, and showed her tears? Why did she look at me like I was the perpetrator?
To me, Akanes behavior was utterly inscrutable and irrational.
Unfortunately, you are not very quick-witted. Thats why Im indoctrinating you directly into your body so that you can reflexively distinguish between virtuous and vicious acts. It is inevitable that pain will accompany the process.
Pain was the highest stimulant and sharpest sensation in the human body. Using it for education was the most effective approach.
Had you been a little wiser, I wouldnt have bothered with this, but you werent. Therefore, it was bound to happen.
Urgh.
Akanes eyes, nevertheless, remained fixed on me reproachfully. Talking to her any more about my logic seemed to be futile. Regrettably, Akane appeared to be even more dim-witted than I had initially anticipated.
I dont remember being criticized by you, so why are you glaring at me so grudgingly and shedding tears? I dont get why you are so mad at me.
You inflicted me pain, therefore I would cause you agony. That was how people live, right? Creatures learned and lived in such a way. Not being able to grasp even that mechanism would be as vulgar and moronic as livestock.
The present Akane was as foolish as a domestic animal.
Well, forget it. I will forgive you even if you are foolish, brainless, and avaricious. From now on, all I have to do is to rebuild you.
But it wouldnt matter, no matter how pathetic and foolish she may be now. However many decades and years it would take from now on, I would be the one to rebuild her. That was my duty.
For that, I would accomplish whatever was necessary. Each time I saw Akanes foolish side, my body tightened up even more.
I wont compromise on anything in order to achieve this. For instance, I pay close attention to what goes into your meal. Over time, the nourishment you are fed will turn into your blood and flesh. For this reason, I shall reform your flesh and blood exactly as I wish, without the slightest deviation, with a special dish that I have created just for you.
Even in the smallest ingredient of the meal, I incorporated my feelings for Akane.
That was another form of love I harbored for her.
