**Xiu!**
A blinding light covered Zhang Qin Feng's surroundings until the stench of rotting flesh and burning wood strikes his nose. By the time his vision returned to normal, he's once again arrived at where he left previously.
[No activities present around the user. This location is considered 96.5% safe. The system will start collecting the required material to construct the Reprinter Unit right now…]
Hearing Stein's report made Zhang Qin Feng stays idle at the same spot for a while. After two minutes, the system seems to be done with its initial absorption of materials.
There's a [Material Collection Bar] listed in his sight. Looks like all he needs is to walk around and allow the system to collect the material automatically. Because there might be some risk included if he went straight to the motorway, Zhang Qin Feng selected the choice of running around the rural area.
He walked past two similar residential communities where he first arrived in this post-apocalypse. But to him right now, a location like this is considered a low-level challenge for him.
With barely ten zombies altogether from both residential areas, all he needs was the Phalanx X-02 to dispose of the zombies before allowing the system to collect the required resources. The same action was repeated for quite a while until the time is getting late.
"Ai…" Zhang Qin Feng sighed as he looks at the bar that barely reaches 25%. Based on his collection efficiency, it would take him at least three more days to finish what he had to do. But as he has no other choice but to preserver until it was done, Zhang Qin Feng clenched his teeth together as he ordered Stein to bring him back to his own world.
He immediately took a shower after coming back from another world. Making up some simple food as his dinner, Zhang Qin Feng ate while getting himself busy connecting the Processing System with the console.
After making sure that the electronics are running smoothly without a problem, Zhang Qin Feng fell on top of his bed with the smartphone in hand.
'It's tiring today, but I think I did a good job.' Zhang Qin Feng sent a text to Wang Yufei's mobile number. A reply came in less than thirty seconds after his text went out.
'Me too. My restaurant had a small ten tables wedding banquet. The bride was so beautiful today. Seeing how happy she is when she entered the dining hall made me somewhat jealous.' Wang Yufei replied.
'But I know that I am someone luckier than her. Because I have you by my side. Are you resting on the bed right now?' her following text came.
'I am. What about you?' Zhang Qin Feng replied.
'Me too. I think I might fall asleep after a few more texts.' Wang Yufei said.
And just like that, the two fell asleep after exchanging a few more texts.
…
…
Three more days passed in a flash. It was once again the weekend where Zhang Qin Feng purposely finds some time to visit the post-apocalypse. With most of the nearby area was scavenged by the system to collect enough material to construct the Reprinter Unit, there's only 1% left before it's completed.
Since the whole machinery will appear out of the void the moment its completed, Zhang Qin Feng would have to make sure that this moment was done right inside the base and not outside.
That's because the piling up of vehicles right on the main entrance would take them too long to clear it up.
But before this, he'll have to make sure that the place still belongs to them. It's been four days since his last return to the base. After making sure that this place wasn't packed with zombies, Zhang Qin Feng entered through the small gap bravely.
'The base seems messy. Did something happen?' Zhang Qin Feng took a quick look around and noticed that the place seems to be slightly deserted. Trashes and skeletal remains are littered all over the place.
Based on the condition of the building entrance, the base should be saved from the zombie invasion. But it puzzled him because he's been here for over ten minutes, and nobody is coming out from the building to greets him.
'Something must have happened.' Zhang Qin Feng clicked his weapon and used a trick taught by Satella to unhinge the latch that blocked the door. After making sure it was safe to enter the building, Zhang Qin Feng quickly sprints his way until he was on the tenth floor.
His advances are halted in between as the stairs to the eleventh floor were blocked by the rubbles. There was some bloodstain all over the place, which signifies a gunfight had happened.
'Stein, check if there are people still inside the building.' Zhang Qin Feng ordered and tried to climb the stairs using his proficiency in martial arts. After making two tries as a warmup, he soon walked across the wall as he made his way into the eleventh floor.
[Toot. The system found two responses. But one was very weak. If the user wished to save them, you must make your way to them in the next ten minutes]
Stein's reply hinted that there's something happened to the base. Using all the strength he can muster, he sprinted through the rest of the floors and arrived at the top floor within seven minutes, with the Instant Recovery Spray in his hand.
His heart almost stopped for a beat when he saw only Miria and Marvin outside of the penthouse. Noticing that Marvin had a bullet wound on his abdomen, Qin Lan immediately asked Stein what to do.
[The user would have to conduct the removal surgery before applying the Instant Recovery Spray. Time remaining, two minutes and thirty seconds before the condition turns worst]
'Damn! Quickly guide me on what to do!' Zhang Qin Feng asked as he pulled Miria away from Marvin and kneeled on a leg beside him.
