Chapter 437 A Sorcerer, A Druid, and a Sniper
--
The awakening ceremony took the consciousness of the triplets into a vivid dream.
In here, their minds floated around, sometimes aware of what's happening, most of the time not. They felt like they were drifting for eternity, not really understanding anything, and had completely forgotten who they were.
After what seems to be years, if not decades, all three boys felt a warm current gushing through their bodies. It was then followed by a piercing clarity that shook them awake.
Then, they saw themselves experiencing something truly bizarre...
Starting with Gerald, he found himself standing in the middle of an intense artic hail. Cold winds howled in his ears, and an endless blanket of snow white filled his vision. He struggled to make out what's happening around him. Logic tells him that he should be freezing to death in this environment, but strangely enough, he wasn't. He felt perfectly fine.
He couldn't understand what's going on. He knows that he's aware of his existence, but he had no idea who he was, what his name was, where he was, or how he ended up here. Weirdly enough, this didn't concern him at all.
What he cared about most was the strange familiarity he felt with his surroundings.
Gerald thought that it would be nice if the hail wasn't so strong so he could see the true beauty of this place. Lo and behold, the furious hail stopped as if answering to his will.
Without the hail, the pristine beauty of this world was revealed to him, and it was everything that he expected it to be. All around him were snowcapped mountains with peaks almost piercing the heavens. The sky was clear of clouds and adorned by a gorgeous aurora veil, which gave it a mystical and magical feel.
He stood in the middle of an endless blanket of snow. He could also see gigantic glacier formations a few kilometers away from him. The cold breeze of wind carries specks of snowflakes here and there.
This world was quiet and peaceful. It was a wonder that shall never be disturbed since that would blasphemy.
Near him, he saw an altar and a small podium. On top of the podium was a golden chalice that contained a pulsing blue flame emitting both warmth and cold. From the moment Gerald laid his eyes on it, he was unable to look away. To him, it felt like he found his purpose all of a sudden, and that is to walk on that altar and to claim that flame.
And thus, that's what he did. The closer he got, the stronger the call felt to him. And on the moment he touched that blue flame, everything came rushing back at him: his name, his identity, how he ended up here, and the purpose of his appearance here.
The blue flame took respite within him, granting him a gift that will be part of his legacy for the years to come.
This was the beginning of Gerald's legend as the 'Frostfire Sorcerer'.

Similar to Gerald, Gilderoy also found himself in the middle of somewhere. He also couldn't recall anything about himself; all he knew was that he existed for some reason and that he's here.
He found himself in the middle of a lush forest. He's surrounded with all manner and expression of life, which made him somewhat at peace. He feels a deep connection to them somehow, but he doesn't understand why just yet.
Gilderoy walked barefoot on the grass. He didn't mind the unevenness and the rough texture of the ground beneath him. He also didn't care that he's walking barefoot in the mud.
As he walked, animals greeted him along the way. Some were small, like birds, squirrels, butterflies, fox cubs, etc. Others were big, like apes, elks, hippos, horses, and so on. None bared their fangs at him nor ran away at his presence; Gil could feel their friendliness, and he responded to them in kind.
It wasn't just these animals either. Even beings like these towering trees, down to the smallest blade of grass, could feel their friendliness and acceptance towards him. Everything around him was his friend, and that made his heart full of affection, love, and care.
Gilderoy continued walking within this great forest aimlessly. He had no perception of how much time passed; he's also unaware of the day and night cycle since this place seems to be frozen in time as it preserves its beauty and vibrancy.
At some point, he ended up at the core depths of this forest. From here, the little friends he made along the way weren't allowed to follow him any further. Somehow, he understood that only he was allowed in this area.
Nonetheless, Gilderoy continued his journey deeper, spurred by an unknown force to know what lies at the true depths of this forest.
The further he went, the darker his surroundings became. He noticed that his environment was becoming more and more sinister the deeper he went. He discovered that trees and shrubs suddenly started dripping with poison and growing thorns. He also saw hallucinations, ghosts, and other scary entities.

He doesn't understand why this was happening here, but he wasn't that scared. All he felt was a call to him that felt stronger and louder the closer he got to the core.
Then, after passing by an unseen barrier that separates the true core of this place from the outside, he saw what's calling to him.
There was a small patch of vibrant green grass in front of him. There's also an altar with a podium, and on top of that podium was a nest of thorns containing a pulsing green flame that emits the warmth of life.
Once he's close enough, the green flame flew to him and nestled at his soul. It was then that Gilderoy remembered everything and learned what class template he received:
'Grand Wilderness Druid'.

Unlike Gerald and Gilderoy, who arrived in a peaceful environment, Godwyn awakened to a hellish purgatory.
He saw a scorched world around him. A terrifying heat wave was slowly cooking the world and him as well, and it felt extremely vexing and bothersome.
The ground was hot; it's as if he's walking on a pre-heated cast iron. He actually thinks that it's a miracle that the skin of his foot hasn't melted yet or become stuck to the ground.
This was distressing. Godwyn has no idea how he appeared here; all he knows is that he didn't like this place even a single bit.
Looking around him, he saw what little remained of life in his world. He had seen bones; some were even melting in real time due to the heat of this place. His vision swam with the haze of the heat, which almost made him see things that weren't real.
He didn't see a fire around him, so why was this place so hot?
Godwyn only understood why when he looked up. And when he did so, he was almost blinded by what he saw.
Above the skies were ten burning suns glaring at the world below. They were the source of this hellish heat that burned all life around him. They also felt too close for comfort; he even got the feeling that if he reached out to them, he'd be able to touch one sun at least.
The appearance of these suns filled him with dread. Somehow, the idea that there's too many of them sprouted in his mind. And that idea suddenly turned into a thought that there shouldn't be this many and that he had to do something about this.
This spurred him to move in search of a solution. He started scrying his surroundings, searching for anything that might be able to aid his purpose.
He walked around, not minding the scalding temperature of the soil as he did so. He ignored the frightening heat and continued searching for a solution, and that's when he saw it.
A lone bow abandoned on the ground. He had no idea how it remained intact in this heat; he also had no idea whose it was. All he knows is that this will do.
He picked up the bow and took a stance. There were no arrows around, but that didn't matter because as soon as he drew the bowstring, an arrow magically manifested, and he didn't even notice it.
Godwyn aims above, precisely at the sun. A desire to shoot just nine of the sun, leaving only one to remain, sprouted within him. And when he felt that the time was right, he released the shot.
He watched as the lone arrow pierced through nine stars, leaving only a single one. But at this point, he couldn't care less because the moment he released the arrow, everything returned to him.
Staring at the single sun that remained and was oblivious to the changes of the world around him, Godwyn's focus was on the class template he just received and wondered if it's a decent one at least.
It is called the 'Sun Shooting Sniper'.
After learning of its names, Godwyn's consciousness blurred, and when it returned, he found himself back in reality with his mother giving him an expectant look and his father smiling at him placidly.
