Chapter 47 Ancient Bronze Door
Chapter 47 Ancient Bronze Door
"How can you stand there?" Listening to the sweet female voice, Su Yen creased his brow and turned in the direction of the female voice.
However, when he turned, he found nothing but an empty cave, with the continuous cries of the humans being transformed.
"You're going to play hide and seek. I've got your time, but first, I need to do something," Su Yen said to the empty cave and swung his sword.
Instantly, the large cave was covered in starlight, and the space was filled with extreme sharpness.
"Are you daring?" The previous sweet female voice was now filled with hostility and coldness that sent shivers down the spine of anyone hearing her voice.
But for Su Yen, he didn't have any change in his expression as he completed his attack.
Bang!
The powerful sword strike hit the ancient formation, and the whole cave shook vehemently.
The eerie blue energy coming from the ancient formation pulsated for a moment but continued to stream into the bodies of those in the pool.
Seeing this, a frown appeared on Su Yen's face, and he raised his sword once more time to attack, only to hear the sound of heavy footsteps coming from one of the hidden tunnels.
"Human, I'll make sure you regret soiling our sacred pool," said the sweet female voice with anger.
Su Yen was too lazy to care about the female voice and attacked once again.
Bang!
This time around, the ancient formation shattered, and the eerie blue energy ceased from entering the pool.
At once, those inside the pool stopped screaming, and those who had almost completed their transformation began to turn back into humans.
Huh!
Huang Guo sucked in a cold breath as he began to regain control over his body.
And after a few seconds, he opened his eyes, only to see the massive pool surrounded by hundreds of fish-like men.
"Not them again?!" He cried as he tried to rush out of the pool, only to stumble.
"Relax and recover. I'm—"
When Huang Guo heard the familiar voice, he scrambled to get up and looked in the direction of the voice.
'How!' He thought, his jaw dropping to the ground.
Grarara!
However, the guttural sounds from the fish-like humans woke him from his shock as he saw all of them charging toward Su Yen, swinging their forks.
Just as he was scared and panicking about how Su Yen was going to defend himself, he saw him move.
"One step, mortal walk," Su Yen mumbled.
"Starlight Blossom Slash - Second Form."
Su Yen moved at breathtaking speed that was impossible for the naked eye to capture, leaving a gust of wind behind as a powerful, deadly starlight power covered the cave.
The incoming fish-like humans halted in their tracks, and their gills pulsated vehemently, feeling the incoming threat.
Grarara!
The leader of the vanguard made a guttural sound, and all the fish-like men tried to retreat quickly.
Unfortunately, it was too late.
Bang!
Ah! Ah!
The miserable screams of the fish-like humans filled the cave as they were sent flying, hitting the cave wall.
Some had their legs cut off, while some died instantly. Some who were lucky enough only sustained deep injuries on their bodies.
Nevertheless, the deadly powerful attack left them in agony, wishing they were dead.
Blue blood dyed the cave, and the pungent smell of their innards filled the air.
Smelling the nauseating smell, Su Yen's nose twitched for a moment before a frown appeared on his face.
'Their insides smell like shit!' He thought and swung his sword in an arc.
A deadly sharp light came out of his sword, traveling at a blinding speed before ending the life of those still breathing.
Immediately, the cave descended into abrupt silence, leaving only bubbling sounds from the pool.
As for those humans that were still in the pool, none of them dared make a sound.
Because Su Yen's power was too overbearing, and no one wanted to be on his bad side.
Turning his head, he looked in Huang Guo's direction and asked.
"Are you okay?"
"Hmm…" Huang Guo, with wide eyes, nodded, with beads of sweat trailing down his face.
Even though he was not the one being targeted by the deadly sword strike, that attack still sent shivers down his spine.
Just as they were still trying to recover from Su Yen's monstrous power, they heard a hysterical cry.
"You killed my people!"
"I will kill you!!" The female voice cried with madness evident in her voice.
"You don't have to bother about that. I'm coming for you." Su Yen wasn't scared of the threat of the unknown female voice.
Since he arrived here, he had made up his mind to find out what this underground water world was all about and who created it.
Thus, if the owner of the female voice didn't come looking for him, he would go and look for her.
Fixing his gaze on Huang Guo, he said in a solemn voice.
"Stay here and wait for me."
Hearing this, Huang Guo nodded and opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out.
"If you're thinking of being attacked? Take this." Su Yen said and threw a Metal Bone Construct to him.
Catching the Metal Bone Construct, Huang Guo shouted.
"Thank you."
As for Su Yen, he had taken the tunnel which the fish-like men used to come to the sacred pool.
Walking inside the tunnel, the tunnel was lit up in a dimly blue light. On the walls were strange markings and drawings.
Looking at the drawings, the frown on Su Yen's face deepened. He realized this underworld was more mysterious than he had imagined.
After walking for another couple of minutes, the tunnel began to get bigger, and small caves with blue pools at the center began to appear.
"This should be their house," he mumbled, halting his tracks.
As he journeyed forward, the caves got bigger, while also the pools at the center got bigger.
Finally, he reached the end of the tunnel, which split into two.
One of the paths was desolate, as if it had not been used for the past couple of decades, while the other had fresh footsteps.
Looking at the two paths, Su Yen only waited for a couple of moments before taking the path on his right.
Walking on the desolate path, the air in the atmosphere began to get heavier as he journeyed deeper into the tunnel, and the strange markings on the wall became more vivid.
And when he reached the end of the desolate path, he was confronted by a gigantic bronze door.
Inscribed in an ancient language was a marking on top of the bronze door. Looking at the ancient language, Su Yen was dizzy for a moment before he quickly averted his gaze.
'What a strong intent?!' He exclaimed in his heart.
Taking a deep breath, he looked at the surroundings and found nothing that could give him a clue on how to open the door until he remembered.
