Chapter 260: Familiar Face
Chapter 260: Familiar Face
Lucan spent the rest of the day flying around with BillyHill. They added a shadow tunnel to the front of each dungeon and linked them back to Destol. In the evening when he returned, Silent had already arranged for more workers to be present in the bar that ran the dungeons.
Aside from more workers to take the reservations and maintain order, she had also increased security in the basement. They didn't want others to come from the outside world into Destol. And there was also the Instance that needed to be watched closely until it was fully under Lucan's control.
With everything set up, Billy handed over the versus cores to Lucan. "Thank you so much. When I bank up enough dungeon points to upgrade to advanced dungeon master, I will let you know. I wouldn't mind having a few more dungeons connected."
"That is fine. And just so you know, it will take a little while before your dungeons will be open to the public here. Currently, the shortest shadow tunnel is a twelve-hour walk. I will have my people start enhancing them right away. I will focus on a single tunnel at a time. Is there a dungeon that you want to be opened first?" Lucan asked.
"I want my versus dungeons opened first. Do the race first and then the capture the flag match. I don't have a preference for the last two."
"Sure, sure, no problem. If everything goes well, the first should be open around noon tomorrow."
"Ha, ha, great, I can't wait."
After that, Lucan left Billy. He popped his head into the bar to see that a wall on either side had been knocked down so the pub could expand into the neighboring buildings. Everything looked like it was moving in the right direction. He began to walk through the streets towards his high-rise penthouse to meet up with Silent.
As a person of status, he had the privilege of being able to fly through the city, but he decided to walk so he could get a better look at how things were developing. He was pleased to see that the people from Baramore who had moved to Destol were getting along well with the locals.
While looking around, he kept himself busy.
'Hey Sturdy, do you have a moment?'
'Oh Lucan, what's up? I just finished talking with Silent. So you need some help with a raid?'
'Yes, but that is not what I am contacting you about. I added four new shadow tunnels to my dungeon club in Destol. I need more runners. And like before, if they have low levels, I will pay for the shadow tunnel spell for them. Do you think you can help me out?'
'Sure, that is no problem. You can wire over the money when you get a chance. I will send some people over right now.'
'Great. Tell them to identify themselves to the hostess. She knows what they need to do and will get them started.'
Lucan stepped into the skyscraper. Silent had rented most of the space on the first floor to players through short term leases. It had become a bustling market. Players opened small shops to sell their wares and services. With each store only being ten to fifteen square meters, the place gave off the feeling of a shopping mall.
She had grander plans for the commercial floors above but those would take time to come to fruition.
When the lift rose to the top floor, Lucan deactivated the magical lock and found Silent inside.
"Get everything taken care of?" She asked.
"Yep, all settled. How about you?"
"We are set. Super and I were able to gather people for the party and team dungeon. I contacted Sturdy Willow for help in filling the numbers for the raid."
"Great. Thanks for the help." He said, plopping down on the couch next to her and leaning in close.
"Super and I talked about it, and since it is likely that we will not pass the first try, we are going to start next time we log back in. That way everyone doesn't have to drop what they are doing right now and rush over."
"That's fine with me. Although, I want to start right away, I understand that not everybody is just waiting for me to say the word so they can rush to my side."
"Then what she would do tomorrow?" Silent asked while resting her head on his shoulder.
"We can do whatever you want?"
"Oh yeah, Super wanted me to tell you that the drow who passed Avalon have turned around and started to return to the abandoned capital. It looks like your thoughts were correct."
"Good, good. I am interested in meeting who ever is leading this surface party."
"You can go make your sales, but don't forget that Raze doesn't want them in the shadow realm."
"I know." Lucan said, patting her head. "It's late, let's head to bed so we can wake up early."
"Alright, sure. Umm, do you think you could do that thing you did last time?" She asked while avoiding eye contact. Even though she was vague, Lucan knew exactly what she meant.
"Okay."
Silent hopped up with a sudden burst of energy and dragged him to the bedroom.

The next morning, Lucan woke up while holding Silent in his arms. He woke as she began to stir. He ran his hands along her bare stomach, letting her know that he was up. She pulled the covers back and he watched as her bare bottom danced from side to side as she sauntered into the bathroom. He quickly followed her and didn't bother to suppress his lustful thoughts after chasing her into the bathroom.
After a really, really, long shower they both headed to the next building to grab breakfast at Bo's restaurant. Lucan wasn't surprised to see his aunt sit down at his table while they ate. But it appeared that she had made a friend. She brought another women to sit with them.
"Hello Aunty." Silent said.
"Who is your new friend, Aunt Marie?" Lucan asked.
"What! Don't you recognize her?" Marie asked with a mischievous smile.
Lucan looked the woman over. She seemed familiar, but he thought that he would have remembered her since she had a unique name, 'WhatDoIDo'. He didn't recall ever seeing anyone with that name.
But Silent reacted differently. "Mom?" She asked.
"Hello dear. Hello Brax."
"Ah, Mrs. Beneil, I didn't recognize you."
"Mom, since when have you started playing Evolution?"
"Marie convinced me to play, she said it was so much fun. She said that she is going to take me out on an adventure today. I am looking forward to it." Mrs. Beneil said with a bit of nervousness in her voice. But that didn't take away from the excitement that she displayed.
"We are going to go out and kick some butt!" Marie said confidently.
Lucan and Silent chuckled.
"Do you ladies have enough supplies and gear? I can help you out."
"Ah, what a good boy." Marie said while ruffling Lucan's hair. "Yes, please, give us lots of fun stuff."
"Oh, that is okay. I am sure it takes a lot to maintain this wonderful city that Maire has been showing me around all morning. I wouldn't want to take anything that you may need later." Mrs. Beneil said.
"What are you talking about Emma, Brax has tons of stuff it won't matter if we take some. Besides, he has way more than just this city. He is a Baron, and this isn't even his biggest city. He also has multiple fortress. Come on, let's go raid his private vault."
"Are you sure it is not a problem?" Mrs. Beneil asked.
"It's no problem at all." Silent said.
"Geez, Aunty, stop pulling me away from the table, I still have half a plate of food left."
"Pah, you can eat later. Come on. I want to go explore with Emma. You are holding me up from my adventure."
""Ha, ha, ha."" Neither Silent or her mother could hold back their laughter.
Marie said her goodbyes to the regular customers as they exited the restaurant. They all addressed her as Hero and she loved every bit of the attention. Getting on Lucan's flying carpet, the four quickly flew to the transfer point.
