From Human to Skeleton: Revived with Infinite System Crystals

Chapter 431 Target Located

Elithira sped toward the sky, aiming to blitz Sanguina as she swung her sword around to meet her neck. "What are you doing?!" Sanguina shouted, deflecting the blade and sending an array of red bats at Elithira. The bats swarmed, but Elithira sidestepped effortlessly, delivering a striking fist to Sanguina's chest, sending her fifty feet away as the cold, crisp air circled around them.

"Purple Dream Land!" Elithira shouted, her blade emitting smoke that covered the skies for miles in pure darkness, blocking out the sun and fully wrapping Sanguina in it.

"I'll hack every one of your limbs off and bring you to my father as a reward! You and Erebos will not succeed in pissing my father off anymore!"

Dashing forward to strike, Sanguina shouted back, "I have no idea what you are talking about. I'm here to find him!"

Elithira, not slowing down for a second, struck her arm, severing it in one go. Sanguina screamed out in pain, clutching her severed arm.

"Fine, we can play that game then! Thanks for giving me some darkness." Sanguina's eyes glowed a menacing red as the darkness enveloped her.

Drawing on her vampiric heritage, Sanguina began to transform. Her severed arm started to regenerate rapidly, the flesh knitting itself back together in seconds. Her aura intensified, and a shadowy cloak of dark energy enveloped her.

"Behold the power I possess!" she roared, her voice echoing through the darkened skies. She retained her beautiful form, her features sharpening and her presence becoming even more commanding. Bat-like wings sprouted from her back, and she launched herself at Elithira with blinding speed, her movements a blur in the darkness.

Sanguina's claws extended, and she struck at Elithira with ferocity, her attacks a whirlwind of dark energy and raw power. Elithira tried to counter, but Sanguina's speed and strength were overwhelming. She grabbed Elithira by the throat, lifting her into the air effortlessly.

"Listen to me, Elithira," Sanguina hissed, her voice dripping with power. "I am not your enemy. I seek to end this chaos, not fuel it. If you want to stop Erebos, you need me."

Sanguina's fist hesitated, hoping to get some understanding from Elithira before she stated, "No chance in hell I'm letting you get away!"

Grabbing her by the collar, Elithira shifted her body weight and began spinning rapidly with Sanguina. Disoriented, Sanguina exclaimed, "Ahh, I'm getting dizzy!"

Elithira threw her toward the ground, sending her spiraling downward and crashing into the ground, creating a giant crater.

"I'm ending this now and taking her back to Father. This way I will have something to show," Elithira muttered. Grabbing her sword, she intoned, "Resiensica Max Ultimos!" Suddenly, energy began to shoot out of all her pores, and the dark sky was blown away in an instant as lightning crackled around her.

She dove toward Sanguina, who was still disoriented and crashed into the ground. The impact cracked the earth beneath, unleashing an intense surge of energy that radiated outward. As Elithira descended with her blade inching closer, Sanguina absorbed the blow, her body glowing with the sheer force of it.

With a mighty effort, Sanguina redirected the energy, aiming it toward the sky. A massive beam of light shot into space, clearing the dark clouds and causing the ground to tremble.

As Elithira descended, a woman with white wings caught the blade with a staff. She was large and tall like Elithira, with blue hair.

"Enough, Elithira!" the woman commanded, her voice resonating with authority.

Elithira's eyes widened in surprise. "You... What are you doing here?"

The woman's wings glowed softly as she held the staff firmly against Elithira's blade. "Stopping you from making a terrible mistake. This isn't the way."

Sanguina, regaining her composure, looked up in astonishment. "Who... who are you?"

The woman glanced at Sanguina briefly. "I'm Elithira's sister, and you must be Sanguina. I have to say your hair is very beautiful for that shade of red but now is not the time for fighting."n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"Wh-o? Fiera?! What are you doing here and why are you stopping me from taking down someone aligned with Erebos?!" Elithira shouted, her staff still clanging against Elithira's blade as Sanguina lay in the rubble below.

Fiera, her blue hair shimmering, met Elithira's eyes with a mixture of frustration and calm authority. "Why do you always have to be a hothead and try to impress Father? You know he only likes you best because you tell the best jokes!" She sighed, then added, "Besides, he sent me a message that the Vampire King and he are working together to find Ty."

Elithira's eyes narrowed. "What?"

"I've been watching her since she got here, and it seems she was looking for the fairy they found," Fiera continued.

Sanguina's eyes widened as she saw the staff housing a giant crystal. "Wait, and who are you exactly?"

Fiera smiled gently. "Oh, I am this planet's goddess, to say the least. I handle the development of powers that eventually go back to the Demon King after their life here finishes. I really shouldn't be down here, though."

Elithira pulled back slightly, her blade still at the ready but her expression softening with understanding. "So, you're saying she's not our enemy?"

Fiera nodded. "Exactly. We need to work together. The real threat is Erebos, and if we're divided, we'll never succeed."

Sanguina, regaining her composure, stood up and dusted herself off. "I'm here to help find Ty and stop Erebos. We do have a common goal."

Elithira hesitated, then slowly lowered her sword. "Alright. But I'm still watching you."

Sanguina nodded. "Fair enough." But I hit a dead end with the "fairy" that Nana gave to Ty before Erebos kidnapped him.

"There are no fairies on this planet, right, Ms. Goddess?" Sanguina asked, her voice tinged with curiosity and suspicion.

Fiera smirked and shrugged. "It's not my place to intervene in those matters. I simply guide them to full awakening so they may serve Father. But there is a first time for everything."

Sanguina glanced at her torn outfit. "Let's get back to a better situation where we can talk. I need a new outfit after your sister decided to ruin it."

Elithira scoffed as they began to walk back. "Just so you know, I hadn't started going full out either because I didn't want to hurt you," Sanguina added.

"Funny, you still ended up on your back," Elithira retorted with a smirk.

"We'll see who ends up on their back next time," Sanguina responded, her eyes glinting with determination.

Arriving back at the castle gates, they saw Nana in the middle of applying bandages to some injured soldiers and having a long conversation with King Griswald, who had aged significantly.

Sanguina turned around and addressed Fiera. "So, 'Goddess,' what are you going to do showing yourself to all your humans?"

Fiera turned around, her form shifting to that of a girl with a short bowl cut of red hair. "I don't know what you mean, sister. I'm just visiting with you."

Sanguina raised an eyebrow, surprised by the transformation. "What the hell?"

King Griswald looked up, noticing their approach. "Lady Sanguina, and a new troublemaker?" he asked, his voice weary but curious.

Elithira stepped forward, her eyes narrowing slightly. "You can call me Elithira, and as far as you need to know, I am here looking for Ty, the skeleton you've been hosting for a while."

King Griswald raised an eyebrow. "I see. Well, you decided to drop in and attack the first person who tried to ask questions. It is only normal you would be met with hostility, no?"

Elithira crossed her arms, her expression unyielding. "Well, questions started with trying to put hands on me. No one puts hands on me, to be frank. But that's in the past. I didn't kill anyone. Are you going to help me find what I need?"

King Griswald sighed, nodding slightly. "Yes, actually, I have already been able to find Ty's finger. It looks like when he was captured for a bit, he decided to use it as a beacon to find his way back to a hideout. I went ahead and moved it to my throne room for safekeeping."

Elithira's eyes lit up with a mix of relief and determination. "Good. That finger is crucial to finding him. We need to get it and use it to track him down."

Sanguina glanced at Elithira, then back at King Griswald. "Thank you for keeping it safe. We need to retrieve it immediately."

King Griswald nodded. "Follow me, then. I will take you to the throne room."

King Griswald closed the compartment and faced them. "But first, it is already getting late. How about a night at the inn, and first thing in the morning, I will give it to Elithira? In the meantime, you can get some rest, have a few drinks, and catch up. I believe Todd should be finishing up with work and having a few drinks with General Mattison about now."

Elithira frowned but nodded. "Alright, but first thing in the morning, we retrieve Ty's finger."

King Griswald nodded. "Of course. And I have also almost finished the plan to take down the Dragoon. I am just resting and regaining my strength for it."

Sanguina glanced at Elithira. "We could use the rest, and it will give us time to plan our next move."

Elithira sighed. "Fine. But no delays tomorrow."

Nana smiled, trying to lighten the mood. "Come on, a night at the inn will do us all good. Let's go."

They made their way to the inn, where the warm glow of lanterns and the sound of laughter and clinking glasses greeted them. Inside, Todd and General Mattison were indeed having drinks, deep in conversation.

Todd looked up, surprised and relieved. "Nana! You're back!"
