Chapter 335: Level 5 Scrollcrafter

Chapter 335: Level 5 Scrollcrafter

Frost Form and Flame Form were commonly used weapons in his arsenal, while Boiling Form was a trump card. To reach the boiling point posed a great risk and placed a heavy toll on his body, so he couldnt sustain it for too long.

He could still fight to a certain extent five minutes into Boiling Form, but go any further than that, his body would suffer from the backlash of the forces. Just as Chris, Fatty, and the others had told him, the battle between his internal forces would damage the battlefield, which was his body.

Even now that Drako Yau was advancing in his cultivation, both Frost Form and Flame Form had their time limits, albeit usually long enough to last him a single battle. He still needed some sort of regular means that he could use freely. It seemed that developing offensive uses for Cryoflame would be the point of breakthrough.

Bearing an unprecedented cultivation style was a double-edged sword. The drawback was that he would be in the dark for his entire journey of investigation and discovery, though some might call it a plus point because he wouldnt be swayed by any predecessors; an unventured path contained infinite possibilities.

Although the Level 38 skill didnt strengthen his combat strength directly, its effects were irreplaceable.

So thats why its a unique skill!

At that moment, the blonde man with the same class came to mind.

Zeus, was it? Such wild arrogance, to name himself the god of all gods. Just you wait.

Drako Yau no longer spent all his time levelling up. His idea was simple: to go with the flow. The newly acquired increased elemental sensitivity was of great help, but a bit too much that he wasnt used to this new feeling; imagine a person suddenly seeing countless specks of red and blue all around him.

The increased sensitivity also altered Frost Form and Flame Form. Both were more difficult to control now, and he almost died to a scorpions stinger when he lost his reigns over his powers in battle.

As he took his time adjusting to the new changes, he turned his focus to his subclass and levelled up to Level 5, making him the highest level scrollcrafter in the game. Not that subclass players were so lacking in numbers, but rather because scrollcrafters were far and few. The initial investment cost too much, while the class only bore fruit at a very late stage. He wouldnt have chosen this subclass if not for his armours appetite for Holy Blessing Scrolls.

Prices for Holy Blessing Scrolls were currently through the roof. Some players used the scrolls on rare equipment dropped from the giant scorpions roaming the Warring Wastelands and evolved them into Level 40 epic gearitems that werent available as drops at the moment. Even so, Dumbgirl was the real reason for the skyrocketing prices.

Dumbgirl was Dragon Alliances unofficial mascot whose strength couldnt be overlooked. As the successor to Kiu Fungs inheritance, one of the strongest in the game, she was a prospect to be reckoned with especially after learning Dragon Seeker from Drako Yau.

Still, what made her known throughout the server was something entirely different. She once used a Holy Blessing Scroll on a Level 30 epic weapon, and the outcome was a legendary weapon. Certain things simply couldnt be kept under wraps. Word of her weapon spread like wildfire.

Holy Blessing Scrolls were now priced around several years worth of a grassroot workers salary, and the price was still on the rise. Money was just a number for the filthy rich after all. What they valued were substantial items, which was why many of them were willing to pay 63 million dollars for a piece of legendary equipment.

Nowadays, Real World had a close and inseparable connection to the actual world. Many newspapers added a section to cover news of Real World, with more and more material for reporting after the integration of both servers through the Warring Wastelands. Businesses that operated entirely in the game were sprouting into existence, such as workshops that gathered gold coins and resources for production subclasses.

The world had entered a new era with the innovation of brainwave gaming.

Drako Yau refrained from purchasing every Holy Blessing Scroll he came across despite not being short of money. He had no idea how many scrolls it took to repair Tattered Armour, so blindly splurging on the scrolls might cost him his entire fortune. Levelling up his scrollcrafter level was a better option.

While scrollcrafting was a pricey investment, its effects were incomparable as well. Scrolls could be considered instant-cast skills. For example, Drako Yau could buff his movement speed anytime as long as he had Agility Scrolls.

Levelling up to Level 5 unlocked two scrolls: Burden Scroll and Berserk Scroll. Sticking a Burden Scroll onto an item increased its weight, but it couldnt be used on players.

There are useless scrolls even at Level 5

Both Level 4 scrolls, Agility Scroll and Purification Scroll, were practical scrolls. However, Purification Scrolls had a very low crafting success rate, so Drako Yau only had a handful on him. It could only be used once every thirty minutes as well, making it a last resort instead.

Not allowing the useless scroll to frustrate him, he went on the view the Berserk Scroll. His eyes shone after he read its description.

Begin berserking upon use. Berserk increases attack and attack speed by 10%.

Duration: 5 minutes.

Can only be used once every 30 minutes.

The scroll reminded him of the Berserking Blessing skill book he got from Mount Soughslit. It granted the berserk status on two allies for three minutes, increasing their attack by twenty per cent and attack speed by fifty per cent. However, it came at the cost of an overall reduction of all attributes by twenty per cent for three minutes afterwards. Its cooldown was also shorter at twenty minutes.

Compared to Bersking Blessing, the scroll version was far inferior in terms of effects, but its nature as a scroll instead of skill also had its benefits. All players who had the scroll could apply the effect on themselves without relying on a caster.

In the end, the Berserking Blessing skill book ended up in the hands of Underworlds top cleric, Unceasable. The tough lady fervently tried to court Greenstone, so much that hed flee whenever they encountered one another by chance.

Word of Unceasables feats in battle had reached him. By using Berserking Blessing, she turned the tables in several battles which were crucial to establishing Underworlds leading role in Evergrand.

Berserk Scroll lasts for five minutes only, so I guess its another last resort thing.

Drako Yau was confident he could defeat any other players if he entered Boiling Form and used his plentiful secret cards up his sleeve.
