Chapter 349 The Woman With The Balck Mask
"I know you won't."
Seeing the smile on her face, Noah knew she was entrusting him with all of her faith and truth. Soon, he saw her figure starting to glow a little.
"Look for the world tree first; that is the major source that could do this to you and also…" Noah's eyes flashed with killing intent as he uttered, "…look for the elves."
"You still did not answer my question from before…" Elysia pretended to pout, seeing the look on his face. She wanted to change the topic, but the reply she got was not something she had expected in her life.
"I never changed the way I treated the two of you. I just stopped restraining myself and my feelings." Elysia froze hearing her words, but the glow on her body kept increasing with each passing second.
"You know, Elysia, the years I spent with the demon got me thinking. I have been talking about how I changed myself after her death, but the truth is I never did.
I have always been so obsessed with ways to think of bringing Evelyn back to life that I never knew she never left me. Because of that obsession, I even bottled up my feelings to keep myself away from distraction."
Elysia froze seeing Noah coming closer to her. He leaned in so much that his nose was touching against hers. She could not help but feel herself growing hotter, which she never knew was possible because she did not have any blood in her.
"It was at that moment, I decided to let go of my boundaries around the people I care about." Hearing him, Elysia closed her eyes, waiting for Noah to make a move.
*flick!*
"We will talk about it when you come back." Feeling the pain on her forehead, she opened her eyes and saw Noah's teasing smile, which infuriated her a lot. She wanted to move, but when she looked down, she saw her body disappearing slowly.
*Smack!*
"Huh!" As soon as she looked back up, her eyes lost focus as she felt the wetness on her lips followed by the sound of lips smacking and a sharp pain on her lips that gave her the confirmation that what happened was not an illusion.
Noah smiled, seeing her baffled expression as her face disappeared from her place. But soon the smile on his face disappeared as he heard a familiar voice coming from behind him. The voice was so cold that it sent shivers down his spine.
"Noah…"
While Noah was on the verge of facing crisis, another crisis was brewing in the shadows…
Somewhere, in a huge room filled with eerie calm and the dark glow of the eerie red fire on each pillar across the room. The ceiling of the room was filled with chains dangling from the ceilings.
All of these chains were serving their purpose of hanging alive humans by their wrists in the air. Although they were unconscious, they were all breathing.
In the middle of the room, a figure donned in a dark cloak and a mask similar to the people who had been invading the Feng empire and all the other places.
But there was a vast difference between her mask from the masks other members wear. Unlike the people faced by Noah, whose face was covered in white cloth with a red blazing sun mark on them, that person was wearing a black cloth with the red blazing sun mark.
*Clank!*
The cloaked person, whose figure resembled that of a woman from the curves of her cloak and the shining golden clothing that flashed from her robes as she waved her hands, sent a qi blast to the chains of the person hanging closest to her.
*Thud!*
"Urghh!" Unbound, the person fell to the ground with a loud thud. The woman stayed there and watched silently as the person groaned and regained consciousness because of the impact. It was a red-haired middle-aged man, his face had an innate stern expression which could make him appear as a strict and domineering man at first glance.
"Umm… where Is this place..?" with a frown on his face, the man woke up and looked around the room. At first, he could see a blurry figure standing in front of him, but as the mask of the woman became clear, his face turned cold.
He started to recall his battle with the people who ambushed him on his way to meet some of the major sects from his empire.
"Who are you?!" He demanded an explanation with the same look on his face, "Do you know who I am? I am the sect leader of the raging fire sect."
But soon a look of horror appeared on his face when he realized he could not channel his qi.
"What's the matter, Sect Leader of the Raging Fire sect, did your flame extinguish by itself?" the sect leader trembled in anger as he heard the distorted tone coming from behind the mask, mocking him.
*Clank!*
*Shhaaa!*
Out of nowhere, chains made of light appeared and bound the man's hands and legs before dragging him down to his knees.
"So full of pride even when you are nothing but a low-grade sect in a downwater kingdom that dares to call itself an empire…" The woman walked forward and looked down at the man, making him feel like she could see all through his secrets.
'Just how powerful is she?' the man could not help but think in shock as he was unable to see through the woman.
"What do you want?" he tried to negotiate with the woman, hoping to find a way out of this situation.
*Splurt!*
"What I want is this…." The cloaked woman waved her hand once again and slit the man's throat in a slow yet precise manner, causing blood to be sprayed all over the floor.
"Guckhh…!!" She watched as the man choked on his blood before his lifeless body fell to the ground. The blood from his body started to fill intricate circles and pentagons with weird symbols and glyphs filling them.

Seeing that there was no reaction from the diagram, she moved to the next person and continued with what looked like a ritual. Time went by and she almost used everybody in the room and still, there was no reaction.
*Knock!* *Knock!*
Just as she was about to slit the throat of a woman, she heard a series of knocks on the door.
"Hick!" the woman, who seemed to be on the verge of dying from sheer fear and the horrifying scene of corpses and blood in the room, almost pissed herself when she saw the bloody white hands moving away from her neck.
