Chapter 202: Zombie Wave ( 3 )
It was the Grenade Launcher that Shane won in the bidding for only 3,600 Points. Together with this weapon, Shane also had five crates of ammunition.

[ Grenade Launcher Ammo Crate: A heavy-duty ammo crate containing explosive rounds for grenade launchers, capable of delivering devastating blasts and area damage to enemies and zombie hordes. These shells are essential for crowd control and explosive engagements.

In short, Shane had 100 Shells for the Grenade Launcher, and it should be more than enough to handle a huge horde of Zombies!
It was certainly a heavy-duty weapon designed for moments just like this!
With a calculated aim and steady hands, Shane launched a barrage of explosive assistance towards the densest clusters of Zombie Wolves!
The first grenade arced through the air, landing amidst a snarling pack and erupting in a concussive blast that sent bodies flying.
Boom!
The second and third followed in quick succession, each explosion created destruction that significantly thinned the enemy ranks.
Boom! Boom!
Shane's fourth shot was a masterpiece of timing, detonating just as a group of Zombie Wolves attempted to scale the palisade, obliterating them before they could reach the top. The fifth and sixth grenades found their marks with equal precision, leaving craters where once there had been threats.
Chaloem, Raze, and the others knew what Shane was trying to do, so they ensured not to get in his way…
Thanks to his suppression, the pressure on their side had alleviated a lot and gave them a moment of respite.

Shane then received numerous notifications as his Grenade Launcher killed so many of such zombies at the same time!
'I should probably kill a few more…' Shane thought as he recalled that there were about a thousand Zombie Wolves in this area…
With each pull of the trigger, Shane's efforts bore fruit—the number of Zombie Wolves dwindled rapidly, their advance halted by the rain of fire and shrapnel.
His intervention provided a much-needed break for Chaloem and his team, allowing them to regroup and catch their breath without lowering their guard.
As the smoke cleared and the echoes of explosions faded, Shane looked at Layla at the other watchtower and gave her a signal. After that, he returned to his post, his heart lighter, knowing he had given his comrades a better fighting chance.
"This is perfect…"
Layla, with her formidable telekinetic abilities, had been waiting for a perfect chance to join the battle.
At this time, her gaze was fixed on the horde below, her mind attuned to the ebb and flow of the battlefield.
As Shane departed, having unleashed a devastating volley from his Grenade Launcher, Layla knew it was her turn to contribute to the defense.
With a deep concentration, she extended her will outward, seizing control of ten wooden spikes and twenty arrows from the stockpile. They floated in the air around her, suspended by an invisible force. With a flick of her wrist, they shot forward like missiles, each one guided by Layla's precise control.
The wooden spikes spiraled through the air, impaling Zombie Wolves with perfect accuracy. The arrows followed in a swift barrage, finding their marks in undead flesh. Each projectile served as an extension of Layla's intent, striking down foes with unerring meticulousness!
But Layla was not done yet. She turned her attention to the traps they had methodically prepared outside the estate's walls. With a push of her telekinetic power, she triggered the mechanisms hidden amongst the foliage!
Clink!
The ground trembled as a dozen trees, rigged to fall at her command, toppled over!
The Zombie Wolves caught beneath them had no time to react as the massive trunks crashed down with earth-shaking force. The sound of splintering wood and crushing bone filled the air as the trees served as colossal tombstones for the fallen undead.
Layla's actions thinned the horde significantly, providing a momentary lull in the onslaught!
After this, Layla used most of her Spirit Points already and needed to rest.
Thankfully, Shane had prepared several Spirit Enhancement Potions for her!

At the same time that this was happening, in the quiet shadow of the manor's back, Shinja the Stormblade stood vigilant.
As a warlord, poison expert, and wielder of dual blades, he was a force to be reckoned with.
At this moment, his eyes were fixed on the horizon, searching for any sign of the undead.
Soon, the stillness was broken by the approach of a solitary figure—a zombie unlike any other. Its towering form was draped in what appeared to be a black trenchcoat, but as it neared, Shinja realized that this was no garment. The coat was an extension of its very skin, a part of its grotesque anatomy. Its torso glowed an eerie green, and its eyes were dark voids that seemed to swallow the light.
'No wonder Shane sent me here…' Shinja thought as he felt that aside from him, no one else could face this type of Zombie.
'This is not a Tyrant Zombie.' Shinja thought as he felt quite excited.
The Zombie was something new, something Shane had never mentioned before.
'Is it one of those High-Tier Zombies?' Shinja guessed.
Its long claws were sharp as knives, and before he could analyze further, it charged towards Shinja with a burst of unnatural speed, it became clear that this creature was a formidable adversary!
Bam!
The zombie lunged at Shinja, claws outstretched to rend flesh from bone.
But it collided with the invisible Aegis Force Barrier that protected the manor, its momentum halted by the powerful shield!
