Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle

Chapter 214: Zombie Wave ( 15 )

However, Shane didn't bother much about them as he looked at the advancing Tyrant Zombies!

He knew very well how tenacious these Zombies were, so he had to make his move while they were still quite far.

Shane adjusted his Laser Sniper Rifle, his finger on the trigger. He aimed for their heads, knowing that anything less would be futile.

Shooting their body or limbs would just be a waste of ammunition, and they'd just be more cautious once they got used to his firing speed.

Thankfully, the reloading time of the Laser Sniper Rifle was quick… He could easily fire three shots in succession before he had to wait for 10 seconds to cool it down.

The shots rang out—one, two, three.

The three advancing Tyrants staggered, but they didn't fall. Their decayed flesh smoked, but they kept coming! Half of their face was already destroyed! It means that about half of their brains had also been hit!

'It seems I have to completely destroy their brain, huh..'

Shane continued firing and the sound of his Laser Sniper Rifle had even boosted the morale of his defenders!

***

The Aegis Force Barrier trembled as the Runner Zombies crashed on it.

Their bodies splattered as they got pressed on by the Runner Zombies behind them… This was the reason why the Barrier was also getting strained.

The defenders on the rampart knew that it wouldn't last long, so they had to quickly alleviate the pressure on the Barrier. So even if it collapsed, the swarm of Zombies would be more bearable for them.

Crack… Crack… Crack…

As the Barrier started getting cracks, the Zombie Wave surged forward as if they could tell that it was about to get destroyed. The elves, the Super Soldiers, team of crossbowmen, and other fighters were getting pressured.

But amidst the chaos, they heard it—the unmistakable hum of Shane's Laser Sniper Rifle.

Whoosh~

Faelar, the Elf Ranger, squinted against the onslaught. "That light again… It's chilling…" He muttered, his eyes tracking the flash from above.

There was no such weapon in the Fairy Realm, so seeing such an advanced weapon made him recall how ignorant he was regarding this world.

Thalion, the Elf Warrior, grinned. "That's called Laser Beams," he said. "Those Tyrants don't stand a chance."

Lady Seraph, the Royal Knight, adjusted her stance…

"It's indeed a beam of light," she murmured. "I wonder if I can survive such attack…"

Soon, the Tyrant Zombies staggered, their decayed forms absorbing the impact of the shots. But they didn't fall—not yet.

Their eyes glowed with malevolence, they seemed to be filled with hatred as they advanced.

There were still twenty of them moving forward! Their vitality, or perhaps, undead body, was too strong!

Nonetheless, Shane didn't stop as he knew very well that he was doing damage against the moving Tyrant Zombies!

Boom!

Suddenly, the Barrier finally collapsed! It's not because of the strength of the Runner Zombies but actually from the Cave Dweller Zombies who had pickaxes or various things on their hands!

However, it doesn't matter what caused the destruction of the barrier…

At this time, the wooden gate shuddered under the onslaught of Runner Zombies, their decayed legs pounding against the wood.

The Jumper Zombies leaped, their elongated limbs reaching for the catwalks and balconies where the defenders stood.

It didn't end there… The Flasher Zombies attacked with their blinding orbs in their heads!

They flashed all at the same time, disorienting the survivors.

As the barrier was destroyed, the air suddenly reeked of decay assaulting their noses… The elves had to use their affinity to nature once again to ensure they do not get affected by the foul odor…

"Quick…"

Shane's Laser Sniper Rifle cooled down, and he fired again.

Three consecutive shots—precise, calculated. He had already familiarized the movements of the Tyrant Zombies…

Once again, the Tyrants stumbled, their flesh smoking. But they just kept coming!

Shane's heart raced; he had emptied two Laser Sniper Cell Chargers already—thirty shots fired, and still, there were eight Tyrant Zombies moving forward!

"It should be fine… My Pets' Spirit Points had already recovered… They can fight again…" Shane muttered as he gave the pets the signal to attack!

Meanwhile, the Elves, who were swift and the most agile among his fighters, moved to eliminate the Flasher Zombies…

Their eyes were shielded from the Flasher Zombies' blinding flashes, using their own techniques…

While the others have Sunglasses that could protect them from the Flashes, Shane didn't have enough of them since they weren't that common in the Survivor Store either.

Lady Seraph's team, on the other hand, targeted the Runner Zombies… Their arrows continuously killed the Zombies…

The Super Soldiers, on the other hand, focused on those leaping Jumper Zombies, ensuring that no zombies could interrupt the range units.

Nonetheless, the Tyrant Zombies were their greatest challenge—their thick skin and muscles defied the normal arrows, and their massive forms could easily absorb impact.

"Focus on the Zombies in front… I'll deal with all of the Tyrant Zombies behind!" Shane instructed as he could see that the others were getting worried about those huge and muscular Tyrant Zombies.

Huuu~

Shane reloaded the Laser Sniper Rifle with another Cell Charger… He then adjusted his aim, his finger on the trigger.

He was already familiar with how the enemies moved. He looked at the injured Tyrant Zombie and then, he fired.

The Tyrant Zombie's head, erupted in smoke!

"Another one down… Seven more to go…" Shane muttered as he saw how the Tyrant Zombie collapse to the ground.

At this time, the others focused on what was in their front… They didn't care about the Tyrant Zombies and completed trusted Shane!

Shane didn't disappoint them as he squeezed the trigger—one last shot…

Bang!

The final Tyrant Zombie staggered its decayed flesh, smoking. And then, finally, it fell to the ground…

Just like that, Shane eliminated all the Twenty Tyrant Zombies with his Laser Sniper Rifle!

However, Cloud immediately warned him about the approaching Survivors!
