Chapter 137 Omni-Scientist. Feud Between Overlords.
Patrick sat on a floating tech chair as he operated at a desk with numerous multi-screens; surrounding him were numerous items and objects he had created. Some items in the workshop were a tech battle suit, a tech shield, a tech booth, and a blue energy rifle gun. Music played in the background as Patrick nodded his head back and forth, enjoying the rap beat song playing.
Suddenly, Patrick pushed himself from the desk and rotated the chair as he spoke to Grace.
"Grace, analysis."
"Yes, Master, you have created a nano-technological battle suit capable of energy absorption and self-regeneration; it's also installed with a super AI technology that can analyze and predict enemy attacks. It boosts the user's reaction speed to twice that of their enemy, and it's impervious to mind or mental attacks. The energy source is whatever is that of the users, be it magic, mana, or Qi. And the user can travel in fire, water, and space without worrying about food or oxygen."
"Not bad, and the others?"
"Yes, the shield is also powered by the user's energy, but with the installed energy absorption, the user can replenish their energy with every attack received by the shield or suit. It can also defend against any attack, physical or magical. The booths can boost the user's speed faster than the speed of light. As for the gun, it shoots an energy attack capable of killing even Saint Ancestors. It also has a transforming feature; it can transform into any weapon the user is skilled at."
Grace analyzed some of the items Patrick invented a minute after entering the workstation.
"Good, add this learning helmet to the set; anyone can download any knowledge or skill they wish directly into their brain. I have coded a self-updating feature in it, which will automatically update new skills, abilities, or any information as time progresses. ...Well, I think these should suffice for Athos. Grace, send these to lady Marine."
"Yes, Master, I have sent the five inventions to Fairy Marine."
"Good, well, time to invent something big, shall we?"
Patrick spoke as he pulled the desk closer; he then began designing countless inventions in milliseconds as they each occupied the multi-screens. There were at least a thousand blueprints on each multi-screen; there were more than ten thousand multi-screens. In less than a second, Patrick had designed the blueprints of over ten million items and ideas. He then turned to his left as he began creating the physical objects.
"Grace, change the music to drill rap." "Yes, Master."
Patrick spoke as he began simultaneously creating and assembling the parts and components of millions of items in mere seconds.
"You know, Grace... back at the orphanage... when I first discovered the underground shelter, it took me three hours to assemble my first cleaning robot? I called it Art because it was the first robot I made using scraps."
"Yes, Master, I know." "Of course; you are omniscient."
Patrick spoke while simultaneously assembling millions of inventions in a matter of seconds. He continued.
"... Back then, things were fun. You know... I remember when I was four and hacked the central government's supercomputer and changed their passwords to 'I hate this job,' all while using the TV remote and mother's phone, ha! Funny, I know they still haven't cracked the code, noobs. ... I also remember playing with the stock market, making myself billions, and bankrupting a world-class organization because they refused to sponsor our orphanage. Haha, quite funny, don't you think, Grace?"
"Master's intellect knows no bounds."
"Yeah~ Well, how good is intellect when everyone wants to capitalize on that? In a world full of brawns, brains are left in the wind; unless you want to be the cash cow of tech organizations--anyways, time to see my inventions."
Patrick spoke as the items displayed on a floating screen-like interface. He casually swiped on the items as he spoke, defining the items' functions and uses.
"First is my 'Omni-Vehicle,' its sentient, eternally self-upgrading, and can transform into any technology I wish. It's installed with absolute indestructibility, an infinite weapons system, can travel anywhere and all places, and can only be driven by me. Second is the 'Omniverse Teleportation Ring;' with it, one can go anywhere without limits, even heaven or hell. The 'God Helmet': capable of doing anything the wearer pleases. With it, even a mortal could be a god."
"It's only normal for Master to create such inventions. Does Master perhaps intends to give these items to anyone?"
"... hmm, now that's a thought. Wouldn't it be great to start a multiversal tournament? Bring in heroes from other Universes to fight to the death, and the winner gets to choose one of my inventions as a reward. Wouldn't that be fun, Grace?"
"Master knows best."
"Hmm, now for the others, 'The Patrix Code,' a genetically modified DNA that can be used to birth an entire race of omnipotent and omnipresent beings; their only programmed objective and nature will be to serve me. Hmm... this one-"
Patrick swiped on the items and their features, one of them being a literal DNA that can birth a race of gods. But then he paused on an item and spoke to Grace.
"Grace, since this is my first element, why don't you name it."
"An indestructible element that can be used for anything and has self-upgrading features. I will call it Transendatium."
"I like the name; I will call it that, Transendatium. Alright, that's enough inventing for today; how long has it been, Grace?"
"Five minutes, Master. And you have invented 12,453,546,324,896 items and technologies, including fifteen million new elements, with the Transendatium being the best element in all creation. All items have been stored."
"Good, and Grace, update me on the system users in the Immortal Realm."
"Yes, Master, there are currently twelve system users in the Immortal Realm. You have terminated one; three were killed during your fight with the ancient families, and six aren't currently in the Immortal Realm."
"Well, as long as they don't cross me, I could care less about any of them."
___
Western Continent
Within the Western Continent's core regions, numerous cultivators launched countless attacks at another group as the former overwhelmed the latter. Countless men exchanged powerful attacks as their battle left the scene devastated. The buildings and infrastructures in the surroundings were all demolished to crumbles. Suddenly, a massive energy palm descended from the sky as it heavily crushed the latter cultivators to their deaths.
"You Western scums will pay for the leader's disloyalty, and since he has joined with whoever the One Above is, he no longer has the right to call himself Overlord of the West! Kill them all!"
A male cultivator spoke as he hovered in the sky above the demolished infrastructures with folded arms; he portrayed an arrogant attitude as he demeaningly stared at the losing cultivators below. The cultivators being attacked were the warriors of the Western continent, subordinates of the Bored Immortal, and their attackers were from the other three continents with Overlords.
One of the losing cultivators had an exasperated expression as he angrily stared at the cultivator floating in the sky.
"How dare you invade the territory of another Overlord without their permission? This is blatant disrespect to the West Overlord. This will mean war between the Overlords when our Overlord finds out! Are you not afraid of our Overlord's wrath?!"
"Haha, you still dare call that treacherous coward Overlord of the West? As I said, he no longer has the right to call himself an Overlord. And besides, why are you so devoted to a leader who betrayed and abandoned you? Surrender to the three allied Overlords, and you won't ever have to worry about being betrayed or abandoned as you have now."
"Ptui! What nonsense; you think we don't know what the other three Overlords are doing? Thinking of overtaking the Western Continent after noticing that our Overlord was absent, who exactly are the treacherous ones here!? You ask why we are so loyal to our Overlord, right? That's simple; unlike forced dogs like you, we were given the free will to serve or not, and all of us chose the former. And our Overlord isn't cowardly, but I can't say the same for your Overlords who are attacking someone else's territory behind their back!"
"Hmph! A dog who isn't grateful enough to recognize the master with the bigger bone. So be it; you all can die then!"
The floating cultivator and numerous others erupted with energy as they launched at the hundreds of millions of Western cultivators. A chaotic battle broke out as the combined forces of the other three Overlords ruthlessly attacked the western cultivators. They have been fighting for hours now, and almost a quarter of the western territory has been destroyed.
Countless attacks flashed across the scene as hundreds of millions of cultivators engaged in a fierce battle, their chaotic attacks and techniques continuously devastating the scene even more. The western cultivators angrily retaliated against the overwhelming number of enemies as they weren't dishearted the least; on the contrary, they had enthusiastic faces as they countered their enemies.
"General! The message has been sent to the Overlord!"
"Good! Let's hold our ground; he will be here any minute now."
Two cultivators exchanged conversations as their faces became even more resolute after knowing the message had reached their Overlord.
The enemies ruthlessly attacked the western cultivators as their number overwhelmed them. But suddenly, a massive wave of pressure descended the scene as the battle ceased immediately; all the cultivators felt their souls tremble as they expressed panicked expressions, then-
TREMBLE! CRACK!
The space trembled and cracked as the massive wave of energy intensified. All the cultivators couldn't help but fall to their knees as some spurted out mouthfuls of blood. But while the enemy cultivators expressed shocked and terrified faces, the western cultivators had smiley and vibrant attitudes as they knew who had arrived, their Overlord. Suddenly, the Bored Immortal's voice reverberated throughout the scene, causing the enemy cultivators to feel even more devastated.
"How dare you little puppies step into my territory without my permission! Courting death!"
Soon after, the Bored Immortal instantly appeared over the battle scene as he hovered with an impassive and bored face. He stared at the enemy cultivators below as he spoke.
"It seems my absence has given your pathetic masters the courage to invade this Overlord's territory; it's time I remind them of their positions, Shatter!"
Simultaneously finishing his words, the Bored Immortal uttered as the hundreds of millions of enemy cultivators instantly exploded into piles of bloody meats, their blood and guts splattering at the western cultivators. The scene was gruesome as the bodies of hundreds of millions of cultivators lay splattered all around the battle scene.
The western cultivators went on one knee as they saluted the Bored Immortal.
"Welcome back, Overlord!"
"Hmm, rise. You did well in holding your ground; here, take these pills and revive the others."
'What! Did we hear that wrong?- "Overlord, do you mean heal our wounds?"
Hearing his subordinates' words, the Bored Immortal couldn't help but inwardly sigh; even he would have had the same reaction if he hadn't been to Athos. A pill that could revive the dead wasn't even heard of in the Immortal Realm, yet he has countless bottles. These pills were included in the rewards he had received in the space ring. The Bored Immortal spoke.
"No, you didn't hear that wrong; these pills can revive the dead."
The cultivators heeded their Overlord's order as they consumed the pills, their wounds instantly healing, their severed limbs regenerating, and their energies replenishing. This left the cultivators speechless as they stared at the miracle pills in disbelief; they hurriedly fed the pills to their dead comrades as the next moment, millions of the dead western cultivators began rising, their severed limbs and wound simultaneously healing after.
The Bored Immortal had a satisfying expression as he saw how miraculous the pills truly were. The pills were just one among countless other treasures he had received; his face shone with even more satisfaction as he imagined how heaven-defying the trillions of other treasures might be. But most of all, his fear of the One Above grew even worse as he thought about how powerful he must be to have the god Fairy, who gifted them these trillions of heaven-defying treasures, serve him willingly.
The western cultivators expressed happy faces and bowed to their Overlord as they respected him even more. Some thought their Overlord must have come across a great fortune to own such a miraculous pill in plentiful amounts.
"Well, if it isn't the traitor, Fengian Xu. I thought you abandoned your territory to become the dog of the One Above; why are you back? The One Above didn't give too big of a bone to chew on?"
Suddenly, a dominating male voice reverberated through the scene, causing the space to tremble. Then, three male cultivators, each with an overbearing presence, steadily materialized from the void as they hovered over the Bored Immortal and his crew. All three beings held arrogant and aloof faces as they stared at the Bored Immortal condescendingly.
Seeing the three powerful cultivators, the Bored Immortal spoke.
"It's good that you arrived; now I will remind you why I'm called Overlord of the West."
