God Simulator: The Goddesses In The Simulation Are All Real

Chapter 237 Aurielle's Love Confession

Ted leaned back, his grin returning. "While I was handling things in the Valora Continent, I overheard some chatter about a gaming convention coming up in the Gale Continent."

"Sounds like the perfect way to unwind, don't you think? I plan to head there, maybe even join a tournament or two."

Aurielle, who had been twirling her crown idly during the conversation, perked up at Ted's words. "A gaming convention, you say? Now that sounds fun. Maybe I'll tag along and show everyone how a real pro plays."

Lucy chuckled, shaking her head. "You'd probably rig the games with your Gift Creation. No one would stand a chance."

Aurielle gasped in mock offense, placing a hand on her chest. "Lucy! I'm hurt. Do you really think I'd stoop so low? I mean, I could, but where's the challenge in that? I'd rather crush them fair and square."

Linsley crossed his arms, his gaze shifting between Ted and Aurielle. "Alright, so the two of you will be heading to the Gale Continent for this gaming convention. Sounds manageable."

His eyes turned toward Lucy, his tone calm but curious. "And you? Where will you be?"

Lucy's golden eyes sparkled mischievously as she smiled. "It's not about where I'll be, Linsley. It's about where we'll be."n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

Linsley raised an eyebrow. "We?"

Lucy stepped closer, her wings subtly spreading as she tilted her head, her expression serene but firm. "You owe me an answer, remember? And now that the Diviner World is finally free, there's no more avoiding it. We're going on a date."

Aurielle clicked her tongue loudly, leaning back with a dramatic groan. "Seriously? You're calling dibs already? Ugh, fine, but don't think I'm going to just sit around twiddling my thumbs while you two get cozy."

Linsley rubbed the back of his neck, sighing. "Aurielle—"

"Don't 'Aurielle' me," she interrupted, pointing at him with exaggerated indignation. "I want a date too! You're always so serious, and frankly, you're the only one I've ever found remotely interesting."

"Do you know how high my standards are? If they weren't, I wouldn't have lived this long and stayed single."

Ted let out a low whistle, smirking. "Now that's what I call a flex."

Lucy crossed her arms, narrowing her eyes at Aurielle. "Or maybe you're just afraid of being a single old woman for eternity. Admit it—you don't actually love Linsley. You just don't want to end up alone."

Aurielle gasped, placing her hand on her chest as if Lucy's words physically wounded her. "Lucy! How dare you! If I didn't love Linsley and was that desperate to marry any man, I wouldn't still be single. Do you have any idea how many powerful men have tried to win me over? They've simped, groveled, and practically built shrines for me!"

She huffed, flipping her hair dramatically. "But none of them were worth my time. Linsley, on the other hand…" She turned to him with a sly grin. "...well, he's special."

Lucy scoffed, her tone cutting but restrained. "Special? Or just conveniently the only one here who hasn't fallen for your theatrics?"

Aurielle's grin widened as she leaned toward Lucy. "Oh, please. You're just jealous I'm not afraid to say what I feel. I love how selfless Linsley is. He's taken on the burden of saving the universe—a burden that should've been mine to bear. That's not something you see every day."

"I admire him for that, and yes, I enjoy his company. If you can't see the difference between that and desperation, that's on you."

Lucy opened her mouth to retort but caught Linsley's weary expression and sighed instead. "I'm not going to argue with you, Aurielle. If your feelings are genuine, that's fine. But don't make this into some competition. I only want the answer I was promised."

Aurielle smirked. "Oh, don't worry, Lucy. I wouldn't want to ruin your big moment. Go ahead, take your date. Just don't get too comfortable. I'll be next in line."

Ted, who had been watching the exchange with obvious amusement, finally burst out laughing. "Man, Linsley, you've got your work cut out for you. Two dates, two powerhouses. Think you can survive without spontaneously combusting?" Experience more content on empire

Linsley pinched the bridge of his nose, letting out a long sigh. "You're not helping, Ted."

Aurielle waved a hand dismissively. "He's got a point, though. You should feel lucky to have two incredible women vying for your attention. Most men would kill to be in your position."

Lucy glanced at Linsley, her tone softer but firm. "Linsley, just focus on my date for now."

Aurielle clicked her tongue. "Fine. But don't take too long, or I'll drag you off myself."

Linsley shook his head, a resigned smile forming on his face. "Alright, Lucy, we'll go on our date first. Aurielle, I'll figure something out for you after. Ted, you're officially the luckiest person here because you don't have to deal with this circus."

Ted leaned back, grinning. "Damn right I am. While you're off playing romance hero, I'll be busy dominating at the gaming convention. Don't forget to update me, though—I want to know how this soap opera turns out."

Aurielle smirked, twirling her crown as she leaned back with a theatrical sigh. "Fine, I'll wait my turn… but don't think I'm going to sit around doing nothing. I'll head to the gaming convention with Ted and wipe the floor with everyone there until it's my turn for some quality time with Linsley."

Ted chuckled, folding his arms behind his head. "Sure, why not? Just try not to scare off all the competitors before I get a chance to show off. You're terrifying enough as it is."

Aurielle grinned, leaning forward to rest her chin on her palm. "Oh, don't worry, Ted. I'll let you have your fun. After all, I'm only here to remind everyone who the real champion is."

Lucy's golden eyes rolled, but a small smile tugged at her lips. "Aurielle, if you're trying to monopolize the convention as a distraction, you're doing a fine job of making it obvious."

Aurielle raised a brow, her violet eyes gleaming with mischief. "Jealous, Lucy? Don't worry. I'll make sure to leave a few fun moments for you while you're busy swooning over Linsley."
