Chapter 10
C10 – Beat Him
One of the young man’s companions was on the verge of charging at Qi Ning.
They had witnessed Qi Ning’s martial prowess earlier, so as they approached, they did so with great caution, fearing another of Qi Ning’s kicks.
But to their surprise, Qi Ning unleashed the ‘Door-Sealing Fist’—a name he had coined himself.
The technique targeted the adversary’s face.
The companion’s nose erupted in sharp pain as a warm liquid began to flow from it.
They had all been harassing Qi Ning, who hadn’t taken them seriously until now.
Qi Ning’s punch, however, marked a clear shift in his demeanor.
He was seething with anger.
The man retaliated with a punch of his own, but Qi Ning, with a swift tilt of his head, sidestepped it effortlessly.
Qi Ning took a slight step back and then delivered a kick to the man’s abdomen, sending him flying.
Aside from Pei, there were only three others in his group.
Now, only two remained.
Witnessing Qi Ning’s formidable skills, fear crept into their eyes.
Clearly, both were intimidated by someone of Qi Ning’s caliber.
“Attack!” Pei yelled at the two indecisive men. “He’s just one person; what are you scared of?”
The men exchanged a glance, each seeing the fear reflected in the other’s eyes.
“What do we do?” one whispered to the other.
The other, casting a wary look at Pei, responded, “Do you want to get thrashed by him?”
With that, they both charged at Qi Ning.
Qi Ning could see the terror in their hearts and decided it was time for a change in tactics. Opting for offense, he charged at the approaching duo.
He landed a punch on one of them. It wasn’t a heavy blow, but it was enough to cause excruciating pain and bring the man to tears, incapacitating him.
Now Pei was the only one left.
Clearly lacking combat skills, Pei was no match for Qi Ning, who approached and delivered a stomach kick that floored him.
With the conflict resolved, Qi Ning stood a short distance away, regarding Pei with a detached gaze.
“You’re too arrogant,” Pei grunted, struggling to rise.
Qi Ning stepped forward and delivered a swift kick to his face.
Pei collapsed to the ground once more.
Since meeting Linshan, he had never faced such humiliation. Yet, he knew that if he tried to stand again, Qi Ning would just strike him down.
Lying on the ground, he yelled, “I know you’re a student at Sigu No. 1 Middle School. You just wait; come Monday, I’ll make sure you learn your lesson.”
Qi Ning paid no attention to Pei’s threats. He glanced at his soaked clothes before beginning his search for the lost umbrella.
Before he left Wealthy Plaza, Qi Ning spared a look for Xiao Qing.
