Chapter 56: Let The Work Begin.
That was all for the day, it came to an end and Kyle slept all through the night.
He slept like a baby despite the nightmare he had earlier that day, Kyle had no memories of such a figure but for some reason, she was a recurring figure in his nightmare.
He had a lot to do that day so he got up early, as early as 5 AM to do some stretches.
Kyle had all the ability to become the richest man in the world but wouldn't it be funny if he died because he wasn't healthy enough to enjoy the wealth he had accumulated?
Kyle realized that he needed to take his physical health seriously if he was going to live as long as he possibly could.
Kyle knew that he had to enrol into a gym soon to get the most out of his body.
He recalled everything that occurred the day before and knew that construction would begin on the store, he initially planned to get a construction supervisor but they weren't starting from scratch so there was no need for that.
Kyle decided to give Collins a try and gave him the freedom to bring his vision to life but what he was looking for the most today was Cassandra.
He took a deep breath and freshened up, doing the usual hygienic routine to get him up to speed.
Kyle realized how good he looked in the mirror in front of him, he had a Homelander moment for a brief second but before his narcissism could manifest, he peeled his eyes away from his reflection.
Kyle picked up his phone to see if he had any messages but it was dry, to his utmost surprise but it didn't bother him too much.
Calista informed him about her win but he hasn't heard from her since then.
Kyle knew this was strange but there was nothing that could be done about it, as long as her affection bar hadn't been affected he didn't care what she did with her free time.
"Lucas Rossini," Kyle remembered that name, he didn't know why but curiosity set in.
He wanted to know what kind of man he was and if he needed to worry about him.
.If he made a move on Calista then there was no doubt that this was a habit that has developed over the years.
And he had many more victims but he didn't force himself on her so it could also be assumed that the woman he had slept with was consensual.
But there was no telling if he tried to get Calista replaced or if the Distort company had told him about Calista being a priority hire.
It was tricky to judge his moral compass from this alone but Kyle looked into him with a quick Google search.
He wasn't as famous as Calista made him out to be because there was barely anything about him on the web. Just a few articles that dated back a few years back.
Kyle expected this otherwise there was no way he wouldn't have heard about him.
One thing news outlets liked was drama but there was a picture of him.
Lucas was an attractive man but Kyle wasn't bothered by his looks because there were a billion attractive men out there but only a few were millionaires.
"I see, so this is him," Kyle muttered under his breath before jumping into a fresh pair of clothes consisting of a black V-neck shirt and cargo trousers.
He stepped out of the house and ran into Mr. Jones in the hallway, Jones wasn't aware of his other projects but that was because it was none of his business.
"Hello Mr. Jones," Kyle greeted him.
"If it isn't my business partner Kyle!" Jones was glad to see Kyle.
"C'mon! Don't be weird about it," Kyle responded with an embarrassed smile.
"Oh right, before I forget, can you send me a quote on how much you think you would need to fix this place up? Don't hold back," Kyle quickly added.
Jones took a stance and saluted Kyle like a soldier who had just been given his final orders.
"Yes sir!" Jones responded.
Kyle chuckled, Jones has always been like this, Kyle didn't know how he managed to be so happy with so little.
It was perplexing, to say the least, but he couldn't question it, it was one of those things that couldn't be helped.
They both walked to their respective cars, Kyle noticed Aiysha staring at them from the window.
He noticed that she was at home a lot more but he didn't pay much attention to her before that drive to her workplace.
One could say him getting that car was what got him into this complicated situation but Kyle didn't make it obvious that he had seen her.
"You have a productive day now!" Jones screamed over from his car.
"You too Mr. Jones!" Kye responded, equally enthusiastic.
Jones pulled out of the driveway but Kyle followed suit soon after.
One of the things they needed to add to this building was a secure parking lot.
Kyle was surprised that no one had tried to steal his car yet but that wasn't a concern of his because he could easily buy another one.
He drove off to the site where his nightclub would soon be erected.
Upon arriving, Kyle saw a full crew assembled already with all the materials they would need for this work. Kyle was impressed because it looked like work had already begun, which must mean that they came here around 5 AM or so, showing him that Collins was a man who didn't take his job lightly.
All the crew members were built like him, buff and strong as they emptied the store.
"Hello Kyle," Collins greeted Kyle from his blindspot, startling him, Kyle quickly turned around and regained some distance between them.
"Collins, I see you have already begun to work, I didn't expect you to start so fast," Kyle said.
"What can I say, when my employer tells me to start something right away, I start it right away," Collins responded with a reassuring smile.
Kyle noticed that they were attempting to expand the building to take up more space, Ryder hadn't used the plot of land efficiently and there was space to fit at least one more building.
Or would it be more accurate to say that the person that Kyle bought it from hadn't, it does take money to do these things so there was no surprise.
Kyle watched his vision come to life, he was satisfied and realized that James might have found him yet another gem.
