Harem Tournament of Champions

Chapter 181 A Night With My Beloved

"Kier?" The leader calls out in a whisper, his hand stretching out to reach for Hisha's hair.

As his hand reaches toward Hisha, he lets out a laugh in disbelief at how realistic this was.

'It's just the same, I finally found him, Vin.'

Before Hisha could question his system on who this person who he had changed to was, he was pulled into a tight hug.

"It really is you! You're alive!" The leader exclaims happily hugging him tightly. "You've been gone too long."

Pulling back, he takes hold of Hisha's shoulders looking deep into his eyes. His expression lightens up and he calls the other two to welcome his cousin.

'Cousin?' Hisha raises his brow at his user interface, stunned by the revelation but also disturbed as this could ruin his plans if they decide to have him on their team.

Opening their hands for a shake which was followed by hugs before getting introduced to the rest.

After introductions were done, the group sits around one of the wooden tables.

After some small talk and getting acquainted, Drac orders drinks for everybody which includes wine for Hisha.

[That's some lovely wine]

'Shut it, HTC!' Hisha snapped as cross-popping veins made their way to his forehead.

He brainstorms on possible ways to evade drinking the blood concoction since he didn't want any more complications right then and there. After much deliberation, he decided to fake being full just so nobody would force-feed him anything else tonight. It wasn't ideal but better than nothing.

Drac stared at him for a while and shrugs the moment he realized how unpredictable his cousin had been at the time.

Slapping Hisha on the back, Drac let out a laugh. "Hahaha, that's a good one, Kier."

He watches everyone drink theirs first and pulled all his willpower not to frown while doing so.

Once finished, Hisha decides to try again, hoping since he had finally taken the form of a vampire, he might have a change of thought.

Taking a sip of his glass filled with red liquid. 'This tastes strangely sweet...,' he thinks as he stares with horror at his cup.

Noticing his sour face, Drac asked curiously, "What? Don't tell me your taste buds aren't used to it after such a long time."

Gulping his cup, Hisha coughs loudly causing the others to look at him oddly.

Looking up, he notices them staring at him with concern.

Shaking his head, he says, "I'm fine," forcing a smile onto his lips.

'I am so not fine! I had intentionally taken another and not sipped but gulp!!!'

[When do you enact your plan, host?]

Dum!

Dum!

Dum–Dum–Dum!!!

Duuuuuuummmmmm!!!

The sound of drums echoes throughout the streets outside making the crowd stop what they were doing or simply turn their heads toward the source of the sound outside the tavern.

A few seconds later, the drumming stopped along with the chanting voices until silence returned once again.

The crowd all get to their feet, with those who had lodged inside the tavern rushing out immediately upon hearing the sound. Others stayed put waiting patiently for whatever event will happen next.

Most importantly though, most of these vampires are curious about why something like this has happened.

A smirk plays on Hisha's lips, knowing exactly when everything happens just as he had instructed Vanas.

Walking through the city center, Vanas noticed many faces turning away from him in fear and dropping to their knees. This made him chuckle silently under his breath.

His body glowed brightly enough for anyone nearby to notice although no vampire below his rank can see past the veil of darkness.

"Long live Count and Countess." They all chorused loudly.

This had been a strange sight to see as Vanas and his Countess had never attempted to walk through their lonely and dark town without anyone noticing them.

Vanas walked past several buildings where windows and doors remain open even during nightfall.

Vanas looked around before looking over to his beloved. His gaze lingers on the beautiful woman standing by his side.

Her presence was calming yet commanding; both traits that drew attention wherever they went together.

Her pale skin shines bright against the light reflecting off the street lamps illuminating the area.

Siadra is a vampiress with a tall and voluptuous figure, possessing unique golden eyes and even longer golden hair, which curves up into sharper spikes on the ends. She wears her red dress with sharp black frills at her corset waist and chest and a white section along her torso. She also wears white gloves that go up to her upper arms and black high heels.

Spreading out his arms, Vanas grins as he speaks. "What a lovely full moon, beloved."

His voice sounds calmer now compared to his voice when speaking to others.

She smiles warmly down at him and replies softly, "indeed my love, indeed..."

She turns to glance behind herself only to find hundreds of vampires following closely, marveling in awe at her beauty.

Shluk!

One of the vampires who had tried to reach out to the fringes of her dress had black blood spurt out from his mouth and wrap around his head instantly killing him.

The other three quickly move forward trying to catch the falling corpse, while the rest run off, leaving behind only a trail of dust left in its wake.

'Losers, freaking idiots I have for subjects!'

Vanas watched amused as he saw the dead body fall lifeless to the ground. He knew very well that he wouldn't wait and watch for anyone among them to ever touch the hem of his wife's gown.

Siadra looks at her husband with a devilish grin across her face. Her fangs extend slightly showing how pleased she was.

Vanas chuckles lightly and places his hand gently atop Siadra's waist and pulling her closer to his side.

Looking ahead, he sees more than a quarter of the population gathered near the square watching intently in their direction.

The moment he locks gazes with them, they lower their head respectfully back to their position.

He then takes one step forwards, raising his right arm upwards. The crowd falls silent seeing this gesture.

With his free hand, Vanas reaches out slowly touching his index fingertip to his thumb creating a circular motion. A small ball of blood appears between his fingers lighting it ablaze.

As soon as the flames appear, everyone present gasps in shock. It wasn't because of the sudden appearance of flame, however. No...it was since their weakness would be that of the flames that could kill them.

With Vanas being the only one immune to the blazing effects of flames, they could properly tell his action as a warning for them to watch their actions.

Siadra places her hand on Vanas' chest and pouts as she whines, "I told you not to do anything foolish, the people are watching!"

Vanas smirks playfully at his loving wife and answers, "And I'm sure your words have always come true."

Hearing this, Siadra rolls her eyes but doesn't say another word.

After a minute or so passes, Vanas lowers his hands letting the fire dissipated. "Fine, you win."

With the sound of screeches from vampire knight bats, The crowd was quick to disperse as they transform and fly away.

Smiling widely, Siandra kisses her husband's cheek lovingly.

Vanas laughs aloud feeling happy once again after having such a wonderful night. Looking towards the sky above, he sighs happily thinking about what the night might bring.

Leaning in, Vanas whispers in her ear. "How about we visit the nearest tavern?"

Siadra scrunches up her face and shakes her head.

Vanas frowns disappointedly, knowing exactly why she has rejected his suggestion.

Turning to look at her, he asks curiously, "Why? What happened today didn't bother me much did it beloved?"

'I can handle the task and it would be to our gain in the end.' He thinks with a nod.

Sighing deeply, Siadra explains sadly, "I didn't like the state you were in after the arena."

Vanas searches her eyes wondering if there truly was something wrong. After all, he hadn't felt any pain or discomfort since coming home earlier tonight.

"You're worried aren't you beloved," Vanas says calmly, tugging at her cheeks before letting go.

Siadra nods silently agreeing with her husband.

Vanas touches his wife's chin lifting it upward until she meets his stare. Smirking mischievously, Vanas leans close kissing her lips tenderly before whispering in her ears, "Don't worry darling, nothing will happen to me anymore."

A smile spreads over her beautiful features hearing these sweet words.

"Which tavern do you have in mind?" She gleefully inquires.
