Chapter 194 Hide And Seek
His fantasies were short-lived the moment he saw her reach for something other than her undergarments.
When she pulls forth two small objects wrapped together. One is a silver ring that shines brightly reflecting light from its surface. It appears to be made using precious metals including gold and platinum. However, unlike other rings, it possesses no gemstones embedded in them.
'This is what was underneath? This is the best I can go with?' Amon thought with a sigh of disappointment.
On top of that, the second object seems to resemble a necklace hanging loosely between both hands. Its length extends down past her breasts revealing more skin underneath. A thin chain connects each end allowing it to dangle freely below her cleavage.
Amon's breath hitches when he notices how smooth and soft her pale flesh looks. Her nipples appear erect peeking through the gaps where clothing covers most of her upper torso.
He swallows thickly, feeling nervousness take hold once again. Then he did a double take as he stared at her skin while remembering what he had fantasized about while looking. 'Pale flesh, pale skin!!!!'
"You're a vampiress!" Amon blurts out, surprised by his discovery.
She smiles warmly seeing his surprise, then reaches forward placing the items gently into his hand. Smoothing her fingers over his palm, she watches closely waiting patiently until he takes notice of the gifts.
Taking note of the jewelry, he quickly glances downwards noticing the metal band encircling his wrist glow in response to the objects given to him. When he lifts his arm, he feels the weight resting upon his forearm.
Turning his attention back to Zin, he asks curiously why she gave these things to him.
Her smile widens showing white teeth glistening in the dim lighting. As well as the fangs slowly protruding just above her lips.
With a flick of her thumb, she removes the cloth wrapping exposing the contents hidden within. "These are my personal belongings," she explains, simply watching carefully as he examines the item.
Seeing nothing but pure lust burning bright in those dark orbs, Amon blushes furiously trying hard to hide his arousal.
After all, they aren't alone right now. There could easily be someone else lurking nearby ready to pounce on him should anything happen.
But despite his fears, he couldn't help admiring the beauty before him. Seeing her dressed up only heightened his desire further causing him to feel weak-kneed.
As expected, his cock stiffened instantly, becoming rock solid.
'Oh fuck, no!' He curses inwardly, unable to stop himself from reacting like this.
Clearing his throat and adjusting his stance so she wouldn't see his erection growing larger by the minute.
Then after giving the ring a closer look; he holds it outwards examining the design engraved across its surface.
It features several symbols etched into the polished metal making use of different colors.
"This is beautiful." He compliments them appreciatively, holding them higher and inspecting every detail.
Looking pleased, she nods, smiling happily, accepting praise graciously. "Once Lord Hisha sees these items, he will understand you seek protection."
Skeptical about her words, Amon questions suspiciously. "...protection? With these things?"
Smiling sweetly, she replies confidently. "Yes, if you do happen to get into his citadel, this would be a good way to gain entry without having to fight your way inside.
You'll need to wear one or both depending on whether you wish to enter via an entrance guarded by guardsmen. Or perhaps sneak around undetected, entering through secret passages used exclusively by high-ranking officials who serve the overlord directly."
At first, Amon didn't believe her claims regarding getting access to the lord's private quarters. But considering his current situation, there isn't much choice left available to him. Sooner rather than later, he must find some means of gaining passage into the citadel itself.
"Thank you." His voice comes out strained due to his excitement.
Leaning in for a whisper in his ears, she sounds a fair warning. "If any of the items have a single scratch on it, it will revert to useless pieces of scrap metal. The same goes for the ring too. If either gets damaged beyond repair, you won't have another chance to obtain such fine quality goods ever again."
Hearing her explanation, Amon gulps nervously wondering how exactly he plans to make sure none of their possessions become ruined during transit. Especially since he doesn't know anyone here willing enough to carry something valuable along with them, then there was the issue of theft, being chased by those who knew him.
However, he decides not to dwell on that issue yet. Instead, he focuses on the task ahead. After all, he needs to figure out ways to infiltrate the fortress safely. Otherwise, he might never reach his goal.
"Now, go!" She urges in a whisper pushing him towards the streets outside.
Nodding his head, he gives a final wave before making his way forward.
Zin's smile immediately fades and is replaced with a twisted smirk knowing full well what he plans to accomplish next.
However, she can also tell he still hasn't figured everything out completely.
"You're in for a surprise!" Her eyes gleam wickedly as she reverts to Willow, turning away and heading deeper down the street leading off toward the city gates.

The sun sets behind the horizon leaving the city bathed in darkness. It wasn't long ago when Amon arrived at the gates leading into the inner part of town. However, even though nightfall came early today thanks to the winter season approaching fast; the roads were still busy with people going home after work.
The moon shines brightly illuminating the land below making its surface appear silver-white. It looks almost surreal especially since there isn't much light pollution within the city limits.
Amon walks down the street heading eastward away from the main gate.
He hides the moment he sees a masked figure walking in his direction, pushing some of the locals aside while doing so. They don't seem bothered however seeing the man wearing black robes moving past them quickly.
His hooded cloak flutters gently in the wind blowing against his face. A pair of leather gloves cover each hand.
'Oh no! It's them! How did they find me?' He panics internally worried about his safety.
Using the crowd as a distraction, he makes his escape running back westbound hoping to lose track of whoever follows him.
Unfortunately, he soon realizes escaping is impossible given the sheer number of people milling around everywhere in similar clothing as they had. This made it harder for him to spot his pursuers who were out to kill him.
'Where are they?' He thinks, looking frantically trying to spot someone following him.
After searching for quite some time, he finally spots two figures standing near the corner of the road where he had been earlier. One person stands tall towering above everyone else.
'All I need is a way to shake them off my tail and then get into the citadel.' He nods his head to his plan.
Wasting no time, he runs straight up to the nearest building using the wall for support until reaching the rooftop. There, he takes cover under the eaves by latching his legs on the edge of the rooftop. From there, he peeks cautiously watching the scene unfold below.
There, he notices three men dressed similarly to himself but unlike him, they aren't hiding beneath cloaks. Their faces are visible despite the lack of masks covering their features. Two of them stand guard facing outward while the third moves stealthily keeping watch inward.
'They followed me here!' Amon curses mentally cursing his stupidity thinking nobody could follow him once he left Radomir.
His wristband glows brightly, corresponding with the ring he had placed on his finger moments prior. Both glow brighter together causing the surrounding area to give away his location.
In response, the men turn their heads scanning the rooftops nearby. Seeing nothing suspicious, they return their attention to the ground level.
Amon's heart thumps as he bit down on his bottom lip as the words 'cloak' was said on repeat in his thoughts.
