Chapter 61 Brood All That Hate
In Winst–Lycan territory,
The city of Winst was built amidst the swaying grasses of a windy meadow. Its uniqueness is matched by the backdrop of a smoldering volcano which has helped shape the city into what it is.
The materials these volcanoes brought were of great importance to the Lycan tribe, but they were also influential when it came to architectural designs as the vast majority of buildings have been built with volcanic rocks and similar-looking materials.
Winst has strict laws and law enforcement, which is normal for its barbaric nature.
This is also reflected in the city's flag, which has a silhouette of a snarling wolf's head with a white claw mark across the right eye.
The people are troubled due to a decreasing population, caused by a lot of civil unrest after the verdict given by Lord Hisha.
"Lychief Wae, we can't stand being treated like a lower class by the others!"
There was an uproar as they stood outside the fortress with its large metal gates and guards stationed to guard and ward off the citizens who were raising their hands in revolt.
"Even those in Straton had begun to treat us unfairly!"
"Answer us, Lychief!"
"You restrict our access to the food reserve! We would starve to death with the little rations given occasionally!"

Inside the fortress,
"Ha ha," Wae took a huge bite off the drumstick and smeared his lips with the sauce it had been coated in.
Hearing even his people revolting was as amusing to him as seeing the reduction in his people.
'More food for me,' He thought with a smirk, throwing his legs onto the table and leaning back in his chair, taking yet another huge bite off the meat.
He had six of his advisors watching him while salivating, they had come to bring him the news of the citizens, but he had flared up and forced them to watch while he ate in front of them.
"Are you all hungry?!" Wae pretended to be concerned and roved his hands with a balsamic roast pork tenderloin in his palm.
The six advisors gulped and watched with hunger at the tease their chief was placed on them.
One of them bold enough to respond nodded his head, he was the youngest and had been chosen by lot.
He had his red hair in a jagged hairstyle with bangs that covered his left eye.
His face had been marked with two green paint marks on his right cheek signaling his prowess even at a younger age in comparison to the rest of the advisors.
"Oh, why don't you come on, forget about these old fools who don't know how to take what they want!" Wae beckoned the young advisor with a wicked grin.
The hall fell silent as the rest all watched to see how this mistake would unfold for the young lad who had little interaction with the tactics of Wae.
Getting to his feet and reaching out for the piece of pork, Wae retracted his hand and shook his head. "You need to get closer, I can't be the one stressing out my hands, you should understand."
The young lad nodded, driven by the starvation, he edged closer and gave a bow while opening his palms to be given the meat.
Slash!
Wae used the sharp claws he had secretly protracted to deal a devastating blow.
"Aaah!" The young lad screamed in blood-curling pain as he had his hands cut off from the wrists.
Blood gushed out as he dropped to the floor and began to convulse.
"The things my special claws could do." Wae snickered and wiped the blood off his face and smeared it on the pork before throwing a handful in his mouth.
The other advisors watched in horror at their chief laughing hysterically and munching on his food with no care.
They cast a pitying gaze on the young lad, shaking their head on how foolish he had been not to notice something was off about the offer given so freely.
Purple veinlike marks had begun to spread on the lifeless body that lay in the pool of his blood.
"I don't share my resources with fools!" Wae sneered at the body and instantly changed his demeanor, flashing an eye-shut smile at the rest who stared blankly at him.
"So, what do you all want to say?" He forced a smile that scared them and forced them to silence.
"Nothing?" He questioned with a scoff.
Slapping his hand on the table, it shook and resonated causing all to get a jumpscare.
Glaring at all his advisors he transitioned into a grin. "I got you all good, right?"
They all reluctantly nodded their heads, knowing the repercussions of ignoring his words when needed.
Letting out a sigh in exasperation, he gave a light push on the dishes and snarled. "These should be sufficient for the populace."
Without commenting much on what was given, they gave a bow and one of the advisors coated the dishes with his Sux, causing it to hover on his command.
They had just turned to leave when Wae called on their attention. "Kill any who decides to take more than what is given!"
There was a flash of shock that crossed their faces but without much say after the grim reminder of where they stood, they could only nod at the command.
"Get this body away before it reeks." Wae pegged his nose and blew on it while faking a shiver.
Watching them do as he had instructed, he walked to his balcony to look down at his people actively revolting.
'Yes, brood all that hate, when the time is right, it will be channeled to the right cause!' He had a devilish smirk and turned to get back to his chambers.
