Harem Tournament of Champions

Chapter 88 So The Search Begins...

Activating his telekinesis, he uses the grip on her, raising her into the air as he had done for Gregg.

Struggling and groaning with pain, Yoru whistled to signal the other which was lurking in the shadows.

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

Hisha ducked just in time and looked behind him to see an arrow that had been coated with a dark Sux strike a building.

'Nothing happened?' Hisha wondered.

Little did he assume that was the worst, there was a cracking sound before an explosion that sent Hisha crashing into another nearby building.

Breaking away from his hold, Yoru used the moment of distraction to snatch up the remains of Gregg and flee the scene as they had planned.

[Does that look like nothing to you?]

HTC mocked, watching its host get to his feet.

Pppttt!

Hisha spat out debris and broken shards of shells that had entered his mouth after the impact.

'How about not putting fuel to what's already burning?' Hisha's brows twitched in annoyance at having lost Yoru because of the stupid clause.

He wondered if it would seem alright to always have some of his chosen harem members accompany him whenever he was out.

[Enemy is out of Mertac]

With his lips drawn in a thin line, Hisha looked back at the blood-stained floor and easily deduced Gregg had been taken and that explosion was merely a diversion.

'I would appreciate it if I could see my status. I need to understand something.'

[....]

[Position: Supreme Overlord]

[Ability: Replicate]

[Sux: 810/1000]

[Meretrix: 2]

[Points: 11100]

[Exp: 38]

[Total number of your harem: 6237]

_____

'What the fuck happened to my Sux?' Hisha stared shocked by how depleted it was.

[It's not even that far down, what's with the complaint?]

[Sux depletion: 1 for every 10 minutes used]

Staring at the information, Hisha hissed at it.

[Does that ring any bells?]

'I hadn't expected it to actually reflect.'

[It would interest you to know that I work accurately unlike your partly brain–]

'Are you trying to pull me down with degrading words?' Hisha hissed, narrowing his eyes at the user interface.

[No...]

HTC made a whistling emoji and closed all windows.

Narrowing his eyes and combing through his hair with his hands, he decided he needed to do something worthwhile with the little time he had.

'I would need something that can aid me in my search.' Hisha suggested hopeful HTC could immediately say what was needed.

[What sort of search?]

His mood was instantly weighed down by the response and he cleared his throat before speaking.

'I need to find Dalsa, even if it is the last place she has been seen.'

[... loading]

Pacing about, Hisha used the opportunity to take a look around for little clues as to why the Vandrik had plagued this territory for so long.

Looking over at where the puppet-controlled corpse was bound by chains, he wasn't too shocked to note that the body would undergo a rapid decay due to the perpetrator seemingly dying.

Squatting and understanding the scorch marks, he had a smirk at the revelation–Yoru had made sure to cover up their tracks.

'That sly seductress!' Hisha clicked his tongue and got to his feet.

Ding!

[Mental stamp]

Puzzled by the item suggested to him, he hoped HTC could throw some light on it.

[...]

'How would I know what it does if you don't give a brief description of what it could do?!' Hisha exhaled, shaking his head after he realized that HTC had intentionally withdrawn the information.

[What you sought is what was given]

Hisha raised a brow at how HTC was unwilling to give the info on the item.

'It would be nice to give the information before the others realize I'm done with the duel!' Hisha reminded in a singsong voice.

[Mental stamps help the user to automatically identify those who have seen your desired target with 100% accuracy. Tapping into the subconscious and getting the desired information without leaving a mark]

'Now that wasn't so hard, was it?'

[There is a bit of a root deep hindrance to the procedure]

HTC warned with a low and monotonous voice, knowing the repercussions of using it.

It had hoped by refusing to describe the item, its host would refrain from using what he didn't know to what extent it could go with it.

'Is there anything that doesn't come with a price?' Hisha rolled his eyes at the obvious warning.

[For every person the item encounters and uses its ability, 1000 points are deducted automatically and one-tenth of your Sux]

Hisha grimaced at the condition, disappointed that he couldn't get by without having to sacrifice something apart from points.

'I swear to my creator, if this is a ripoff purchase point, I'll drop it and wish Dalsa Good luck.'

[Cost of purchase: 3000 points]

[Time limit: Unknown–maintained by replenished points and Sux]

Narrowing his eyes at the message, he let out a sigh, nodding to the requirement.

Ding!

[Mental stamp purchased]

[Accumulated points: 8000]

[Usage: For each successful target comes a deduction of 1000 points and ⅒ of your Sux]

'I can automatically turn this on and off, right?'

[Yes, but what good would it do if you miss a target that would be crucial in your search when you turn it off?]

'Fair point.'

Forcing a smile on his lips, he turned around and went in search of the rest.

"I don't care what you all think, I say my lord needs me and that is where I'm headed!" Kritz protested against staying put.

The other guards gasped in shock at who stood ahead.

Ignoring their reactions, pushing them aside, and thinking it was merely their way of showing how shocked they were.

"So, do you consider me a weakling that needs your help?" Hisha's voice boomed behind.

All dropped to one knee and bowed their heads in respect.

"Lord Hisha." They all chorused.

"Where's Twilaet?" Hisha waved off their greetings, not pleased with what he had to do while he planned just to make a mockery of Mich.

Kritz got to his feet and pulled on the reins, revealing Twilaet strutting towards its master.

Caressing its mane, Hisha let out a hearty cheer, "I'm glad you're safe."

All had wide grins at the display of affection from the two of them, but all that was burnt the moment Hisha flashed a glare their way.

"If something had happened to my horse, aside from the damage caused in Mertac, you all would need to be checked!"

Kritz bit down on the bottom of his lips to stifle a laugh, as much as he wanted to act scared as the rest were, he walked towards his horse and led it out.

Following Kritz, Hisha looked over his shoulder. "Don't just stand there! Lead the way!"

Startled by his domineering voice, Gran scurried off to fetch his horse, while the rest dispersed to take their designated stations.

In Mich's Chambers,

Knock!

Knock!

"Get out!!!" He yelled with blazing rage for being disturbed.

Knock!

Knock!

Cross-popping veins made their way to his forehead as the knocks continued rhythmically.

"Mich, it would be good for your sake if this door opens in 5 seconds!" Hisha warned from the other side.

Trembling with fear, he wondered why he should be expecting the overlord.

'Did he know about what I had done?' He wondered, slowly making his way towards the door.

Click!

Walking in without speaking, Hisha scanned the room.

An orchid rug runs in a circle around the room, with two paths at the king-sized bed and the main entrance while matching banners with adorned margins decorate the walls.

Between each banner, all but a few of the braziers have been lit and in turn illuminate the paintings of late Merchiefs and the magnificent pearl that they all sought.

'So that's a bit of the reason for the obsession.' Hisha deduced and shook his head.

Mich stared silently at Hisha who looked distracted and concentrated on the hefty, stained glass windows depicting ancient legends of his tribe.

The windows are neighbored by curtains colored the same orchid as the banners. The curtains have been adorned with gold fins and gilded linings.

"Lord Hisha." Mich's voice quaked, thinking through what he had said earlier.

Turning around, Hisha nodded his head not to the words of Mich, but rather to how fanciful his room was. "You have a nice place."

Those words sounded a little sarcastic to him as he flinched but nodded his head to the compliment.

"Now tell me, why did you request my help?" Hisha immediately brought up the dreaded question.
