Chapter 166: News About Heavenly Palace
Chapter 166: News About Heavenly Palace
Ayaan shook his head when he heard their conversation. He looked at the lumps of the meats all about them. The insides scattered; the brain matter flowing from the creaks of the skulls, the blood pooled on the ground. The reek wafted the surrounding in disgusting stench. Such a scene, seeing it even Ayaan felt his head spinning.
He looked to the side and saw the two poor little ones had fallen unconscious; on the other side was Noor, who was vomiting uncontrollably. Her face contorted in disgust. She didn't dare to turn towards the bloody scene again and sat on the ground, trying to calm down.
Rebecca could still stand with everyone, though, her face had also turned pale due to reek. Leafwhisk and Ayaan's expression didn't change even after looking at such a gory scene, and of course, Isobel didn't seem to care about the death of those people. Her face showed complete indifference for them.
Finally, Ayaan looked at the two surviving men sitting on their horses with pale faces. They vomited when they couldn't see the picture taking place in front. Right now the sight completely horrified them and didn't make a single noise. Now they knew these people weren't someone they could antagonise. How stupid they were to provoke these demons?
The Captain gathered little courage at last and begged. "Si-sir, please, forgive me. I will never come in your way. In fact I will leave this Empire for forever. Yes, please, one chance, please." He didn't even include his Vice Captain in his pleading; it was good until he lived. Who cares about the Vice Captain? That's what he thought.
The Vice Captain turned paler hearing his Captains pleading and knew that these people weren't ordinary. "Sir, I will become your slave if you want. I will leave this kingdom and live my entire life in the barren mountain. Please, forgive me this once."
Ayaan looked at these two begging men. How ironic it was, just a few breaths prior they had been acting like tyrants, and now, they had turned into helpless sheep caged in the underground prison, begging to be released.
"I will ask you a few questions," Ayaan said. "If your answers pleases me, I will think about giving you a painless death, or you will die more miserable than your companions." As he said he pointed at the scattered body parts on the ground.
"Why are those horses still standing without moving," he asked Isobel. "See their eyes, the event had terrified them."
"Oh, they are still under my technique." She said and flicked her hand and a red covered her gorgeous hands before fading with no trace.
"Neigh!" the horses brayed and scattered in every direction, not wasting even a minute at this damned demonic place, that was covered in corpses, guts and feces of the dead. Anyone could tell how terrified these poor animals were after looking at their fearful escape.
Ayaan shook his head and turned his attention towards the two prisoners of the war. "Alright, have you decided to answer me?"
"Sir, please, let me go. I have a wife and a child. Without me how will they survive in this world?" said the Captain, tears fell from his eyes. The picture looked quite pitiful and miserable. But Ayaan didn't show any mercy just because his acting skills were better than others.
"You both have a breath of time. After that prepare to die just like your soldiers died," blurted Ayaan mercilessly. Preciously they were talking about raping his women, while selling two little children. At that time they didn't talk about children or they were someone else's women. However, now when they had been caught in an inescapable trap, they unexpectedly remembered their children and wife.
Both of them shivered when they heard Ayaan's merciless words and looked at the scattered bones all around once more and melancholy filled their hearts. This must be retribution, this must be the punishment for all the wrongdoings they had done in their lives. Both of them couldn't help but think about their family. What would happen to them?
The Captain looked at Ayaan and took a deep breath. "I have done many evils in my life, so I don't have a right to complain about anything. But can you please let me meet my family one last time?" he begged, his eyes filled with misery.
"Whoosh!"
"Ahhh!"
Before anyone could react one hand of the Vice Captain separated from his body. His shriek agonised shriek echoed for miles. The birds sitting on the trees fluttered their wings in panic; the horses under them tried to struggle but failed to move. Blood covered Vice Captain's armor and sprayed in the soil like a red fountain. The man turned pale due to blood loss and his eyes turned red. He clenched his left hand with his right, trying to stop the blood flow.
"Do you still want to linger any further? With every passing breath, you will lose a part of your body." Said Ayaan in a chilli voice. "Tell me if you know anything about the Heavenly Palace."
"Heavenly Palace?" the two men who were completely terrified, looked at Ayaan in astonishment.
"Speak!" Ayaan shouted with an authoritative voice.
"Yes, yes," said the Vice Captain in a terrified voice. "The Heavenly Palace is the biggest sect on the Central Continent. It is located in the Heavenly Palace Region. Our August Empire comes into its jurisdiction. From time to time there will be an envoy who will come to the Capital to collect the taxes." The Vice Captain was so afraid that he vomited every information about the Heavenly Palace he knew.
"Interesting," then he turned towards the Captain. "Your Vice Captain is smarter than your. If you don't tell me any useful information, you will die...miserably."
The Captain shivered when he heard Ayaan and told him a piece of news he knew. "About a month before the Emperor had sent a group of soldiers to find the girl with the Fire Body. It was Heavenly Palace that told him he could achieve another breakthrough if he could use that girl as his cultivation cauldron."
