Chapter 34 Joining Team Blossom
Eva stared at the Red-Eyed Serpent's corpse for a moment before responding to Lucas' question, "Let's get out of the dungeon before we have a conversation. Oh, you can have that mana crystal."
Lucas nodded and pocketed the Red-Eyed Serpent's mana crystal before following Eva out of the dungeon.
If it weren't for Eva, who had kept track of their movements since they entered the dungeon, it would've been near impossible for Lucas to leave by himself, or it would've taken him way longer.
After leaving the dungeon, Eva brought Lucas back to the guild's headquarter and then into a private room.
Once they sat down, Eva retrieved a piece of paper from under her desk and placed it in front of him.
"What's this?"
"It's your terms and conditions for joining my team. Read it."
Lucas nodded and accepted the paper.
The papers basically stated a few new rules that he will have to abide to while he's in her team as well as his shares when they enter dungeons, and just like Eva had mentioned before, he'd get 50 percent of his contributions.
In order for it to be counted as his contribution, he would have to deal the most damage or kill the monster. In the case of treasures, he must be the first to discover the treasure for it to be counted as his contribution.
"Well? Do you accept the terms? If you're willing to join our team under those terms, sign it and you will officially become a member of our Blossom Team." Eva said to him a few minutes later.
In response, Lucas picked up the pen on the table and began writing on the paper.
"Welcome to the team, Lucas." Eva said with a smile on her face after he returned the paper that had his signature on it to her.
"So when is the next raid?" He asked her.
"Slow down. Although there is a planned raid for later this week, you won't participate in it," she said.
"What? Why not? I joined the team, right? Why are you benching me already?" Lucas frowned.
"Because the dungeon we're raiding is an Advance-rank dungeon. You may be able to handle an Intermediate-rank dungeon, but you'll definitely die if you fight monsters above level 40. Just because you're part of the team doesn't mean you will participate in every single raid available. There will be another raid next week, and it will be an Intermediate-rank dungeon. You can join that one."
"..."
Although he wanted to join the raid, he also agreed with Eva's decision. At his current level, an Advance-rank dungeon would be too much for him, and he would only be a burden to the others in the team.
"Use this time to familiarize yourself with the guild and the other members in the team. Who knows, you might even find a new friend or two."
Lucas went back to his room after being dismissed by Eva.
After returning to his room, he distributed 15 more Stat Points into Intelligence, increasing his total base Intelligence to 50.
Lucas laid on his bed to rest shortly after returning. Although he'd managed to kill the Red-Eyed Serpent with seemingly no effort, it was actually exhausting to use Vanishing Steps for so long with almost no break, not to mention the mental fatigue he had to endure the whole time.
While he rested, he recalled the silver-haired beauty that he saw inside the dungeon.
"I know I saw her. Just who is that woman? She gave off this feeling that reminded me of that goddess who was chained up in that temple."
Lucas couldn't get the silver-haired beauty out of his mind once he started thinking about her. Unfortunately, Eva didn't see the girl, and she ran away before he could learn anything about her.
After spending many minutes lying on the bed, Lucas eventually drifted off into dreamland.
However, he didn't sleep for long, as he was woken up by a strange noise that echoed inside his head.
Ding!

[Quest: Reach level 25 by the end of the month]
[Progress: 17/25]
[Reward: ???]
"Level 25 by the end of the month? What's today's date?" Lucas had to leave his room to look for a calendar since he didn't have a phone to check the date.
However, he was dumbfounded when he saw the date and realized that it was pretty much already the end of the month.
"I only have two days to reach level 25?! That's impossible!" Lucas felt like cursing out loud when he realized just how little time he had to complete the quest.
It was as though the system was messing with him by giving him this impossible quest.
Then he remembered how he'd leveled up four times today just by killing a single Red-Eyed Serpent.
"Actually… If I go back there to kill a few more of those Red-Eyed Serpents, I might be able to reach level 25 in two days… But will she let me go back there if I asked?" Lucas pondered.
