Chapter 180 The King Of Steel Dragons [Part 1]
"So that means that you will be with us again. Nice!" Emma suddenly seemed cheerful. She gave Zack a wide grin before talking with Lance.
Zack let the two of them talk for some time before deciding to ask Emma about what she had seen.
"Emma, why did you look so grim when I summoned you on top of the Pacific Ocean?"
Zack's question made Emma's smile waver for a second before she sighed.
"I…" She opened her mouth to speak but was interrupted by an ear-piercing roar.
The roar echoed around the entire mansion as well as the remaining portion of the Doogle Mansions before being followed by an earthquake that shook the entire Doogle mansions.
Zack and Emma exchanged a look before both of them ran out of the room to see Hayden and Lisa coming out of their respective rooms.
The quartet only exchanged looks before dashing towards the entrance of the mansion.
Eva was already there. As for how she got there so quickly? No one had any idea.
"I wonder what new disaster has managed to make its way here." She muttered while rubbing her temples. "You guy mind taking care of whatever that is about to happen? I will contact Mia and ask her to come here ASAP."
Zack nodded on behalf of the entire team before staring towards the north.
While he was on the lookout for some kind of beast, Jules and Ken also appeared in front of the entrance.
Jules looked as though he wanted to run and hide under a bed. He felt as though he was about to experience the same thing he did in England and watch everyone die once again.
'But what if they are reincarnated people and can fight anything.' The thought helped him calm down as he asked Zack for more details.
"The only thing we know for sure was that a roar had echoed around the entire place, followed by an earthquake. I guess that some kind of beast decided to visit us."
The sarcasm was dripping out from his voice in the last sentence. The chances of a beast hitting Doogle mansions were almost zero.
After all, the remaining portion of the Doogle mansions was not only protected by Lisa's formations but also had the aura of all the residents combined leaking out.
'Speaking of residents, I wonder how many of them would be fighting such a beast for the first time.' Zack's gaze turned towards the remaining mansions as he saw players gather in front of their houses.
He could already see a few activated skills and eyes full of determination. All of them looked ready to fight as they had learned that if they didn't stand up in the new world, they will most likely die.
At the same time, another roar rose from the north followed by an even deadlier earthquake.
"Rise in the air!" Zack shouted as he made all of those around him rise in the air alongside him.
He also managed to take half of the gathered players to fly in the air before he reached his limit.
Many of the others had a flying type mage with them so they too managed to safely rise in the air.
However, the ones who suffered for those without any flying techniques and no one to support them.
They were either forced to jump along with the houses in hopes of surviving or use their earth element in hopes of building strong enough portions of land that could withstand the earthquakes.
Despite all that, a few players were swallowed by the cracks that opened in the ground. The roads were all torn apart by the Earthquake and so were the mansions.
Even Eva's house, which was reinforced multiple times had faced many blows and had cracks running against its walls.
Screams rose all around the place as humans continued to die. Zack rose higher in the air to look at a massive dragon flying towards them.
The dragon was no joke and was probably the size of two adult blue whales. The sheer size of the dragon was enough to make half of the players lose their fighting spirit.
How were they supposed to fight something that huge and destruction causing?!
'Let's see if inspect works on this big boy.' Zack thought before using inspect on the abnormally massive dragon.
---
Gajeel (Steel dragon) (Level 269): Also called the Dragon with the Heart of Steel, Gajeel is the king of all steel or metal-related dragons.
It is often said that Gajeel will be happy to battle any type of living being and even follow him or her as his master as long as they could beat him.
---
'Well, sht…'
Zack wasn't feeling depressed by seeing Gajeel's information. Instead, he remembered the dragon from his past life and that was due to the memories he had recovered after meeting Snowie.
Gajeel was also one of the dragons that Snowie's best friend and master had tamed. The king of steel dragons was one of the most fearsome dragons since he could control all types of steel and metals.
And being surrounded by many of them, Zack felt that their chances of victory were already very less.
'I wonder if Snowie can talk some sense into this guy.' Zack then saw the dragon's body.
All of his scales were silver in color while his eyes were obsidian black. Furthermore, his claws were so sharp and wicked that they could probably make a hole in the land by just touching it.
Gajeel's tale was made from pure steel with wicked pieces pointing out often.
[ Lance, do you think that we can beat him by trying to melt him with our combined flames? ] Zack asked as Lance flew right beside him.
[ I think that will most likely tickle him. Someone around or below level 100 can't beat a dragon at such a high level. It could be said that we are ants fighting an elephant. ]
After hearing Lance's words, Zack couldn't help but smile.
"Then ants too can defeat an elephant, just not in brute power."
