Hikari: Rise Of The Weapons Master

Chapter 39 The Meeting Begins

"So you are telling me that you managed to save that woman within a few hours without making anyone realize that?" Eva asked with a neutral expression as Zack nodded.

He had thought off two theories that he would tell her about but now that he was sitting in front of her, he had no idea whether they would work or not.

"I had the help of a certain someone there." He admitted as the red-haired woman narrowed her eyes.

"And who is that certain someone?"

"He is the god of timelines and yes, that's a code word." In a hope of attracting Kai's attention, the black-haired boy decided to use the god's name.

And it worked.

[ Hey kid, do you think that I am free enough to help you on such occasions? ] An annoyed voice entered Zack's ears. [ But since most humans are not supposed to know about this, I guess I will just help you here. ]

All of a sudden, Eva's eyes went blank and her body froze on her chair. After a few seconds, she blinked thrice before looking at Zack with an interested expression.

"So you used their military against themselves by giving them money and sending them on a trip?" She asked with a smile. "Guess they don't pay their people enough."

The black-haired boy completely masked his expressions though he had no idea what Kai did.

[ Relax, the only thing I did was tweak around a little and make her memories go to that of an alternate timeline through this will be the last time I will do this. If I keep messing with time like this, things would soon turn against us. Deities don't notice small changes but if bigger things happen, we are f*cked up ]

Zack felt the presence of the timeline god fade away. He then looked at the CEO of Doogle with a serious expression.

"Evangeline, would you like to get the current number three player to hold a contract with your company? I can help you with that if you want."

Both of them looked at each other with narrowed eyes before Eva grinned.

"The more the merrier. You told me in your weekly report that you will be opening a guild alongside WolfHeart so I guess this will make things more interesting," She paused as her grin faded away. "Her contract, however, would be very different than yours."

The black-haired boy sighed and nodded. This was the reason he had been trying to make sure that WolfHeart would remain safe without having to sign a contract.

The companies were cutthroat when it came to hiring the big shots and Zack knew this better than anyone. Unlike him, there was no guarantee that WolfHeart would continue growing.

And even though the guild might make a huge impact, Eva was not someone who made decisions based on such things.

"I will be her negotiator though."

"Negotiations are always open in business." The CEO of Doogle smiled as Rachel knocked on the door.

"Mister Ray has landed on top of the building Eva. I will direct him towards the meeting room." The secretary said from outside the door.

"Then we should get going." The duo stood up from their spots and walked out of the room. Eva guided him to the floor below hers and Zack could feel that they were going through a ton of hidden security cameras.

After a few minutes of walking, they finally reached a door which surprisingly had a doorknob. The black-haired boy had roamed around the building a little and had found that everything was automatic.

And in the entire building, the door in front of him and Eva was the only manual one.

"The room beyond this door is specifically made for business talks so and is soundproof and bombproof. No one except me can unlock the door and enter this place." The red-haired woman explained as she put her right hand on the doorknob.

A few seconds later, the door sprung open and the duo entered it.

Inside the room, ten couches were placed around each other in a rectangular formation. If Zack had to guess, a hologram would play in the center of the place.

The duo sat down on two of the couches as the black-haired boy looked around the room. It was half the size of a basketball court and had black-colored walls.

The room was mostly lit by four lights embedded in the ceiling and had a small fridge in one corner in case anyone got hungry during a meeting.

After a few minutes, the owner of Telsa walked inside the room with a smile on his face that seemed to reach his brown eyes. He walked towards Zack and extended his hand.

"I am Ray Musk, the owner of Telsa. Nice to meet you." He said with a smile as the black-haired boy stood up and extended his right hand.

"I am Zack, the current number one player in Hikari. Nice to meet you too." He replied as Ray nodded.

The black-haired 31 years old man turned his gaze towards Eva and gave her a nod before he walked up to the couch opposite of the duo and sat down. The smile on his face was then replaced by a serious expression that seemed to scream 'it's time for business.

"My secretary had told me that the Oracroft company has planned another announcement. Maybe they are taking over the world this time." The man chuckled humorlessly as Eva powered up the projection in front of her.

It looked just like a television but instead showed everything in front of them. The view could be adjusted to your liking and could be projected anywhere a person would want.

The black-haired boy remembered that such a thing also existed in his mansion but still hadn't gotten the time to test it.

"We have found out that the number three player has currently been in an accident and her whereabouts are unknown. We will get back to the media as soon as we get any information about her." The voice of the bald founder of Oracroft resounded inside the entire room.

Eva and Zack chuckled when they heard the bald man trying to protect the reputation of the newborn company.

Because of their claim saying that the number three player was teaming up with their company, they had made many people buy their shares.

However, most of these people had sold the shares back when they had heard that WolfHeart was missing. Some were even claiming that it was a false declaration made in order to make people buy the company's stocks and make them keep rising.

"Why are two grinning like two kids who had just made the ultimate plan to gather all of the cookies in the house?" Ray asked with narrowed eyes as the behavior of the duo seemed weird.

"Well, it's because we know where she is," Eva said with a wink as Ray's eyes looked as though they would pop out from his sockets. He wanted to ask more about this but knew that Eva wasn't going to tell him anything else.

"Let's just move on to the bigger point. Do you have any plans on how to stop them from becoming the biggest company and using their influence?" Ray's words made the young CEO of Doogle sigh.

But Zack was the one who managed to reply before her.

"If you both are willing to invest money in some players that I know, we might be able to beat Oracroft." The black-haired boy could feel the two CEOs staring at him but he stood his own ground.

Zack had more than enough money to run the guild and make more money. However, there were some things that Zack needed funding for.

If he managed to train both Marcus and Jack in perfecting the art of alchemy to some state, he would be able to gather a lot of money.

Other than them, he also planned on commissioning some people from the royal family themselves and use them.

But if he managed to make the two CEOs give him the money required, he was sure that he could double it which if you asked a normal person, sounded like a scam.

The two CEOs, however, had been in the business time for long enough to recognize the difference between a scam and reality.

"Let's say we give you the funding, who are the players you would use it on?" Eva asked as the black-haired boy grinned and looked at his phone watch.

"Instead of telling, let me show you the players."
