"It seem the Kingdom is doomed." Alicia exclaimed, watching as large monster hordes appear in front of the capital. If that was not bad enough, there are several flying figures observing the defender of the capital, watching them. It did not need a genius to guess them as demons.

Though, it was surprising to see so many demons, but it's likely because the one that lead is far stronger. Alicia doubted they could do anything, with the military of the Kingdom being completely destroyed save for some militia and remaining guards.

Her husband had tried to destroy the monsters, but failed. She wipe the tear that formed in her eyes. While the marriage between her and her husband was done out of politic, they slowly love each other, and have three beautiful children.

She likely lose one of them. She hope she die first rather than see her remaining children die. As she thought of the dark future lying ahead, a Demon flew towards the capital.

As archers pointed their arrows towards him, the demon released a powerful aura, one that cause the entire garrisons as well as citizens to feel on their knees, all of them feeling like they were suffocated, trapped in a dark ocean.

She was not the exception, the Queen on her knees as she gasped for breath. Thankfully for them, the demonic aura dissipate, letting them breath.

"I will give you one last chance. Surrender, and I will let you live. If you refuse," a head was held by the demon. To the horror of the entire occupants of the capital, it was the head of Duke Carn.

"Mother, what should we do?" Elezia asked, unsure of the next course of action. Her youngest, Maroon, nodded, asking the same question without speaking it out.

The Queen of Astor Kingdom and the ruler of the Kingdom in the absence of her husband, which likely be a permanent one, sighed.

"I will not throw the life of the people and kill them off if I could avoid doing so. I will agree to surrender, except, I will talk to him first."

"Trying to negotiate when I don't have anything that can be used as a bargaining tool is foolish. What I come here for is I wanted to ask what will happen to the Kingdom after this?" she explained,

"I see. So you want to confirm I will not kill the people without reason." he state. The Queen nodded.

"In that case, unless they earn my ire, I will not kill them." Alicia let out a sigh of relief. "However, there will be some new rules and demands, one you cannot refuse."
