Chapter 182: Hunting Dolphins

Dolphins. There were more than twenty dolphins in a flurry, swimming frantically away from the three ships. In the seine net the ships had extended, there were already a few captured dolphins.
“Squeak, squeak.” The high pitched sounds filled Chu Xian’s mind, disturbing his heart and leaving him with worries.
The dolphins’ sounds were ultrasonic and beyond the human hearing range, but Chu Xian’s sonar detection could pick up all the panic and despair. His face turned dark.
“Quickly, quickly, don’t let them escape!” Vague and unclear voices filled the night sky with Japanese words that Chu Xian couldn’t understand.
“They are hunting dolphins?”
Chu Xian looked out at the fishing ships encircling the dolphins and listened to the panicked sounds of the fleeing creatures and his face fell.
Dolphins were a second grade protected animal, and Chinese white dolphins were first grade. Historically, dolphins had always been friendly and cute animals.
Sometimes there were reports of dolphins saving people, and they were extremely intelligent creatures, smarter even than monkeys.
Chu Xian had previously watched a documentary of the dolphin bay that described how cruelly some Japanese people hunted dolphins, dying red a huge swath of sea with the blood of the creatures.
The film made many people angry and resentful.
But in the end, it didn’t change anything. Dolphin hunting was still common practice in Japan, South Asia, Africa, and some areas in South America. In Japan, there was even a dolphin hunting festival.
In these countries, dolphin hunting was considered the same as fishing, and other countries could only condemn them but couldn’t do anything to stop their practice. Even the World Animal Protection couldn’t do anything about it; this was a custom that had been passed down for hundreds of years.
It was much like the dog meat festival or bull killing day. You can condemn me, but I will still slaughter the animals.
“But since I saw it, I won’t just sit by without doing anything.” Chu Xian immediately made a decision in his heart. He wasn’t some world peace hugger nor was he a loving saint, be he also had his own conscience, and if he could do something good then he would do it!
“Old Mu, sail over. Let’s stop them from hunting those dolphins!” Chu Xian called out immediately.
“Yes, boss!” Old Mu didn’t hesitate to fulfill Chu Xian’s commands, immediately turning the ship and sailing towards the three Japanese fishing ships.
The irritated fishing ships blared out warnings, and Old Mu fearlessly horned back at them.
“F***, where did this fishing ship come from? Are they trying to steal our catch?” On the Kawai, an angry Japanese middle-aged man yelled.
“Captain, they’re flying a Chinese flag?” The pilot called out with a questioning tone.
“Assholes, signal them. Ask them what they want and tell them to get out of here. Otherwise, they can’t t blame our Kawai for not being polite.”
“Yes.”
“Boss, we’ve received a message from the Kawai Shipping Company. They’re telling us to leave immediately and not to disturb their dolphin hunting!” Back on the Mermaid, Old Mu called out to Chu Xian.
“Tell them we’re just passing by. That’s right, just passing by. We won’t compete with them!” Chu Xian replied with a huge smile on his face.
“Yes!” Old Mu nodded and immediately sent out a reply while still sailing their ship to intercept.
“Captain, they said they’re just passing by!”
“Passing by? *sshole, tell them to f*ck off! Have them get out of the way or else they can’t blame us for not being polite!” the Japanese captain said in a dark voice.
“Yes, yes!”
“Boss, they sent another message?” At that moment, Old Mu called out to Chu Xian again.
“Ignore them. Sail directly for their ship. Right, Sword One, Sword Two, put away the sea cucumbers,” Chu Xian called out calmly.
Chu Xian wouldn’t philanthropically volunteer to attack the three Japanese fishing ships. All he needed to do was slowly sail in their direction and cut off their route, letting the dozen or so dolphins escape.
“It looks like they’re intentionally making trouble!” Back on the Kawai, the middle-aged captain judged the route of the Mermaid and his face fell.
“Prepare the water guns. Have the other two ships go and catch the dolphins, and we’ll teach this reckless fellow a vicious lesson!” the middle-aged captain said coldly.
“Boss, they have water guns—guns just like that last ship!” Old Huang was standing on the deck with a telescope, and when he saw the guns, he ran over to Chu Xian and reported his findings.
“That’s not a problem. Close the cabins and just ignore them. Just pretend that it’s raining. That’s right, we need to block them from chasing the dolphins. Don’t let those other two ships continue chasing!” Chu Xian ordered, a huge smile on his face.
“*ssholes! You Chinese *ssholes! F*ck off for this grandpa!” The Kawai sped up, the almost forty-meter fishing ship leering down at the Mermaid, its four or five high-pressure water guns aiming straight at them. Angry yelling sounded from above, and immediately, the beams of water hit the Mermaid.
“F*ck, this is even more powerful than the guns from Dragon Mastiff. These water guns really are some good stuff!” Chu Xian cursed as the water pounded the ship.
High-pressure water hit the deck, pounding the metal with an uproar like a heavy storm at sea, but Chu Xian and the others took cover inside the cabin, completely unaffected!
“The other fishing ships are sailing for the dolphins. Stop them!” Chu Xian felt the other two ships turning and immediately called out to Old Mu.
Old Mu nodded, his face confident as he sped up the ship. The divine ship waved its tail... alright, the ship turned and blocked the route of the two pursuing fishing ships.
“F***! F***! They’re really set on making enemies!” Back on the Kawai, the middle-aged captain saw the direction of the Mermaid and his face contorted with anger.
Chu Xian lay on his chair and waved leisurely. The Mermaid turned this way and that, keeping pace with the pursuing ships to block their path. Everything was under Old Mu’s control, moving calmly and in control.
At the same time, on the Kawai, the middle-aged captain was furious. He glared at the fishing ship blocking him. “Attack! Use the weapons. WE must get those dolphins. F***! There’s a pink dolphin among them. This rare dolphin must be captured at all costs. That ship can go to hell!”
“But captain, we’re in the leisurely cruising area. We’ve already picked up a couple of bystanders with our actions. If we attack with weapons?”
“Don’t be afraid. We’re in international waters; as long as no one dies, there won’t be any trouble.” The middle-aged captain’s face was dark. “And even if one or two die, what’s the problem?!”
“Yes, yes!” The assistant nodded and called out the orders to the crew on the ships. They quickly took out a cannon-like object.
“Rubber cannon.”
It could launch rubber shells with an extremely destructive force that could kill, but the power of the rubber shells lay in destroying!
Destroying things like a ship!
