Chapter 647: 647 Senior Brother
Chapter 647: Chapter 647 Senior Brother
“Is that Song Jian? Come in quickly!” Liu Qingyun’s voice came from the mansion hall.
Song Jian’s face was somber. He wiped off the blood seeping out and headed toward the mansion.
As soon as he entered the gate, Song Jian saw a man wearing an iron mask, looking at him with a mocking face. It seemed that the man who had just taught him a lesson was this man.
The man’s iron mask only covered half of his face. The mask was shaped like a soaring hawk. Seeing Song Jian, he revealed a sarcastic expression, “Is this the genius who has grasped complete Sword Intent even before becoming a Swordmaster, whom my Master has taken in? To me, he’s nothing special!”
“Jian Qi, say less. At his age, you were no match for him.” Said a man wearing a black robe, glancing at him.
“Humph, eldest brother, why are you so eager to play the good guy? I think our little junior brother isn’t so simple!” Jian Qi snorted coldly and turned his head.
“Alright, I have only taken in three disciples. I hope you all get along and support each other. I’m not asking you to make me famous.” Liu Qingyun, sitting at the main seat, glared at Jian Qi.
Jian Qi, with an unconcerned look, shrugged his shoulders at Liu Qingyun.
“Greetings, Master!” Song Jian bowed his head and saluted.
“Song Jian, I asked you here to introduce you to your two senior brothers. This is your eldest brother, Chang Qinghe. The one wearing an iron mask is your second brother, Jian Qi.” Liu Qingyun explained.
“Greetings, eldest brother and second brother!” Song Jian saluted.
The eldest brother smiled and nodded back, while Jian Qi snorted coldly, a hint of disdain on his face.
The aura around the eldest brother, Chang Qinghe, was dense and deep, like a surging river. In contrast, Jian Qi exuded a fierce aura. It was as if he were a longsword freshly forged from the furnace, his blade glowing red-hot, while his sharp Sword Qi held a touch of flame.
Both of them had reached the first level in Combat Power. Chang Qinghe was at level thirty-six, while Jian Qi was at level thirty-two.
“Song Jian, how have you been doing in the Sword Array Hall recently? Any gains?” Liu Qingyun asked with a smile.
“Quite well. I feel that I’ve gained a lot…” Song Jian nodded and said.
“Psh, you haven’t even reached the first level in Combat Power and you dare to learn sword arrays. Can you even ‘hold’ the talisman blade firmly?” Jian Qi disparagingly remarked.
Liu Qingyun snorted coldly. Jian Qi froze, bowed his head, and began to drink his tea.
“As long as you gained something.” Liu Qingyun nodded and said.
“The two of you executed this mission very well.” Liu Qingyun spoke a few words with Song Jian, then turned to Chang Qinghe and Jian Qi. “Especially Qinghe, the quality of the Xuan Tian Snowman’s heart is extremely high. It will significantly enhance the power of my Sword Talisman War Soldier.”
“Sword Talisman War Soldier?” Song Jian’s heart skipped a beat. It seemed there were several things Liu Qingyun had up his sleeve that he wasn’t aware of, like this “Sword Talisman War Soldier” – this was the first time he’d heard of it.
Song Jian perked up his ears, eager to learn more about the “Sword Talisman War Soldier”, but Liu Qingyun merely mentioned it in passing without further explanation, and swiftly changed the topic to their respective progress in cultivation.
The morning slipped away like this. For the most part, Liu Qingyun doing the talking, while the trio listened.
Between analyzing the internal situation of the Qingyun Sword Sect, Liu Qingyun suggested improvements to the trio’s sect techniques and cultivation progress. Song Jian discovered that Liu Qingyun was lax and allowed them leeway; he would occasionally offer guidance when he was in the mood but let things be when he wasn’t.
“Alright, stay for lunch. It’s been a while since we teacher-and-disciple have eaten together!” Liu Qingyun laughed and added, “Next time you two go into the secret realm, take your junior brother along for some experience.”
Song Jian noticed that after Liu Qingyun finished his sentence, the look his two senior brothers directed at him had become strange.
“Master, junior brother’s strength is still weak. The monsters in the secret realm, even the weakest, have the first-level Combat Power. It would be dangerous for junior brother!” Chang Qinghe said hesitantly.
“Master, if we bring him in, it’s not just risking our own necks, but if something happens to him, we’d have a hard time explaining it to you!” Jian Qi glanced at Song Jian and remarked.
“Hmph, do you think that your junior brother’s strength is weaker than yours?” Liu Qingyun’s face darkened as he snapped, “He has grasped the complete Sword Intent. Once he enters Sword Intent state, he can match the first level Combat Power!”
“What, is that possible?” Liu Qingyun’s eyes widened in surprise, and he looked up and down at Song Jian.
“Comparable to first level Combat Power? How is that possible?” Jian Qi jumped from his chair, his face full of disbelief.
“What, you think your Master would lie to you?” Liu Qingyun snorted coldly and, giving them both a look, he left flapping his sleeve.
“Little junior brother, when you have time, let your brothers bear witness to the true Sword Intent!” eldest brother Chang Qinghe laughed.
“Yes, yes, we are not qualified to see Master’s Broken Water Flow Sword Intention. We have always heard that Sword Intent is indeed very mighty, but we’ve never seen anyone use Sword Intent!” Jian Qi looked at Song Jian, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.
“Broken Water Flow Sword Intention…” Song Jian thought to himself, it seems I should interact more with these two cheap senior brothers to learn more about Liu Qingyun.
After lunch, Song Jian continued on his way to Sword Array Hall.
In the Sword Array Hall, Song Jian had mastered numerous powerful sword arrays. Although they were only blueprints, Song Jian was confident that as long as he had enough materials, he could produce the Sword Array Stones needed for these sword arrays.
“Come, Song Jian, today I’ll teach you how to make Sword Array Stones!” Sun Changlin saw Song Jian come in and quickly waved at him.
“Make Sword Array Stones?” Song Jian was taken aback. After all, to make Sword Array Stones in Sword Array Hall, one had to have the first level Combat Power, an unwritten rule in the Sword Array Hall.
“What, you don’t want to learn?” Sun Changlin asked with a straight face.
“I do want to learn, I’d love to!” Song Jian laughed.
Sun Changlin laughed, took out an empty Sword Stone, handed it to Song Jian, and said, “I know you have a Talisman Blade. Come, try it out and show me how far you’ve come.”
Song Jian smiled slightly, took out a wooden box, pulled out a silver Talisman Blade from inside it, and with a thought, the silver Talisman Blade slowly floated up, transformed into a silver light, and burrowed into the empty Sword Stone in Song Jian’s hand.
Sun Changlin was stunned, a look of surprise in his eyes. After looking at Song Jian, a hint of a smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.
