Chapter 483: Forbidden Love

Chapter 483: Forbidden Love

"The rift in space and time is the only thing that's keeping the Forsaken from coming out of his den," Death said. "I don't know why but Princes were being sucked out of the den and now me, someone who sits closely to the Forsaken."

"Death is one of the guards that Forsaken chose to guard his den. They are called Horsemen and they only come out when the Forsaken's life is threatened," Leviathan said. "Their faith to the Forsaken is unparalleled, much like their individual strengths."

"The Forsaken wants chaos, why aren't you creating chaos?" Elliot asked Death, but the demon shrugged.

"More interesting things are happening here, I just want to watch how things will go from here on," Death replied. "Maybe we'll see chaos being brought upon yourselves by yourselves. Terrans are the greediest types of people after all."

Irus saw how Elliot wanted to say something, but he stopped him from even starting to speak. "We're grateful that you're not interfering, but can we have a favor to ask of you?"

"If it's about these Knights attacking villages, then you're on," Death replied. "I also want to see how strong the King actually is. Maybe I'll have some fun."

They eventually returned to the guild with Death. He was introduced as a friend of the Demons to the guild, but his true identity was revealed to Frederick.

This was the time where the red haired guild master had to talk with the four demons. He asked them to talk in a room filled with spells to block the noise from leaking outside.

"This man," Frederick narrowed his eyes. "He possesses a great amount of magic. He is simply terrifying."

"He is," Mammon said. "It's not often that we see the Horsemen, but when we do it's always like this. His aura would overpower anything around him and his looks would intimate every single being in the vicinity."

"And for good reason," Leviathan added. "The Horsemen are unlike us who are born from the Forsaken's flesh, the Horsemen are his flesh. They didn't inherit some of his powers, they have his powers."

"The three Horsemen are equal to three Deathly Sins or Princes, either of the combinations," Irus spoke. "And Death is the strongest of them so he is equal to five."

"But Irus," Frederick sighed. "How are we going to fight this man when the time comes?"

"You know the answer," Irus said. "The Prophecized Boy will not only vanquish Malice, but he will also create unity between light and darkness. Why are you still hiding, Frederick?"

The Deathly Princes glanced at Irus. They gave him a confused look, but Irus shrugged their looks off. When Frederick fell silent, Irus scoffed and left the room, breaking the seal of silence on his way there.

"What was that?" Death laughed while he entered the room. "Y'all got your differences and you can't settle?"

"Death, this is not the time for that," Saitan warned. "You have to help us defeat these Kings and participate in the Absolutehood war."

Death's face seem to lit up after hearing this. He was grinning and laughing while exited the room and ran towards Elliot who was on the lobby.

"Hey," Death sat on the empty chair beside Elliot. "You seem to have a peculiar set of friends."

Elliot gulped down his food. "Y-Yeah."

"Eternals," Death hummed. "You guys are not like the ones before you. You're rather average compared to the ones I fought before."

"You fought Eternals before?" Elliot asked with Death nodding as yes. "But why?"

"Differences," Death replied. "They want to preserve their worlds, I was ordered to destroy them. When the Almighty interfered, the Horsemen were demoted to mere guards who could only act when our god is in danger."

"So, you don't fight?" Hope asked. "How can we know that you're strong?"

Death pursed his lips before chuckling. "Wait here."

The man stood and ran away in a hurry. It took him several minutes before he returned, this time he was carrying a large sack with him. It was rather heavy judging by how much it dragged on the ground as Death dragged it.

"What's that?" Ed asked. Death shrugged and placed the sack on the table. When he poured out the contents, everyone gasped.

They were helmets of the Guards from different Kings. These helmet had no head inside them, meaning Death pulled out the heads of the Guards from their dead bodies.

What makes this the more chilling was the fact that fighters from Palaces have their armor attached to their flesh. This includes boots, breastplate and helmet.

Death gouged out the head of the Knight for him to get these helmets. It was horrific how Elliot envisioned the man scooping out the heads out as though they were ice cream.

"As I went from village to village, I found these Knights massacring these poor humans," Death said with a pursing if his lips. "Of course, I didn't want to intefere because this your battle but since I'm so bored, I started hunting these Knights."

"These helmets are horrifying, Death," Elliot said. "Why did you even show this to us?"

"For you to know that I'm not joking," Death said, his face becoming serious. "I want to fight these kings and see how strong I am compared to them."

"You're still a beast," Mammon grinned as he approached them. "Death can defeat a group of Paragons by himself. I've seen him do it multiple times."

"That was in my youth," Death laughed. "I'm not as strong like that anymore. I can only fight two or three, but not a group of them."

"Yet you still aren't humble, I see," Leviathan sighed. "Death, by helping these Terrans, you know you are betraying your role as a Horseman, right?"

"I know," Death said. The mood suddenly turned darker, the smile on Death's face vanished. "But can I say something crazy?"

"You have something to protect," Midnight placed a cup of tea in front of Death. "Your reason shows even when you hide it with your words."

"I found someone I like," Death confessed.. "But it's complicated."
