I like them big, do you?

Chapter 163: Dragons tears

Chapter 163: Dragon's tears

"Hahahaha!" Reylin's Crimson Dragon's laughter rang out despite slowly losing his mana and health points.

His situation looked the worst out of all he had been through.

Powerful and legendary monsters stood before him! He couldn't go at full strength at them, and his flames failed to reach the summoner, King Julian!

Reylin battered his Crimson Gloves against one of those hands!

Alas, that was just one!

"Hah!" Reylin promptly kicked himself away from the repulsive fist, then landed before the other one.

He wouldn't let them reach Princess Rose, whose whole purpose was to break the dungeon's system and ensure their escape route!

Reylin also laughed too much, which repelled the monster's screams.

King Julian gawked at the dragon's performance, nodding in approval.

That existence continued to evolve at every step, and even now, he awakened the roar that was the perfect counter to his wife's monster's screams...

More room to grow would allow this man to reach other planets!

Planets that Nerven Race had marked.

However, the most bothersome fact was that Reylin despised them.

King Julian couldn't allow Reylin to grow strong enough as his home's planet was on the line!

He raised his specter and whispered, "Vacancy Portals."

Four portals appeared on Reylin's sides.

Two hovered slightly above them while the rest was closer to his legs. Those portals didn't spit anything. Instead, their power sucked Reylin closer!

The unstoppable void wanted to rip him apart from four directions!

Reylin's Crimson Armor didn't move an inch, however.

Alas, it pinned him down nonetheless.

That was when the monster's fist landed on him.

"AHHH!" Its strength was beyond Reylin's comprehension.

That repulsive power gnawed on his armor! It permeated into his body and started biting from within as well!

The dark matter was slowly making its way toward the royal crown bloodline!

Reylin flew backward, his body settling on the ground a few times as he bounced due to the difference in strength!

He landed on his back and stared at the dark ground with dilated eyes.

Meanwhile, Princess Rose flinched, "I was... so close!"

Her new system and what came from it nearly allowed her to break into the dungeon's system. The outer influence caused by the hero also helped her with that deed.

Alas, to no avail.

King Julian had never forgotten about her, and he kept an eye on her.

He noticed the difference in Princess Rose's expression, which forced him to utilize one of his skills.

He stared at both of them lying on the ground, "This is the day Crimson Dragon's tale ends."

As the specter rose, so did the monster's hand.

That palm extended toward Reylin, intending to slap him to death as if he was a fly.

Alas, the golden light shone in the sky!

That golden light turned into the beam, which dropped heavily onto the monster's hand. It slashed through its skin, drawing a clean and deep wound!

That golden mana brought out the ear-piercing cry, a genuine scream due to the heavy blow.

What came out from the light was a young lady.

It was the hero.

"Maya? Why are you here?!" Reylin instantly asked.

He howled at the hero, to no avail.

Maya didn't turn around but just glared forward at the two enemies before her. It was a monster and King Julian...

A woman clad in bandages wailed in pain. Her pain was honest, and she pledged for help, making the hero not deem her the monster.

Maya replied, "I came here on my own... You are just my friend, so don't tell me what to do, Reylin."

Reylin's eyes widened as he recorded Maya's words.

He lifted his body, but cracks spread throughout his armor. Those cracks meant one thing, and his body dropped once again.

His eyes rose as he wanted to get more answers from the hero.

Maya's sword lit up in her skill then.

She bared her weapon against the monster's hands.

Each slash cut deeply through the monster, which was an astounding feat! However, after slashing the abomination's body, Maya's mana turned golden, and she became a little royalty herself.

Her sword's sharpness heightened, and she got stronger with each level up!

"What is that man doing?" Reylin asked while searching for King Julian.

He found him and Zamram staring at each other.

It didn't seem like they would make a move any time soon, so Reylin promptly retracted his eyes.

He shouted at the hero who was naturally struggling against King Julian's summon, "Why did you come here?! You thought I was joking?! You can die here! Die in both worlds!"

Maya didn't reply.

She thrust her sword forward, hoping to somehow win the battle. She wanted to alone achieve the feat that would save everyone she held close.

However, it was... impossible.

The existence she was fighting with also entered the frenzy mode. It was due to the heavy silence between King Julian and Zamram.

That man didn't control his wife, naturally leading the beast to howl and move like a feral beast.

Its real summoner, King Julian's wife, thrashed and wailed, which heightened the monster's frenzy.

"Maya!" Reylin once again shouted.

His friend landed not too far from him after suffering a heavy blow from existence's hands. She promptly got onto her two, then charged back at the monster...

Reylin's voice no longer reached Maya's ears.

She believed she would be able to overcome the situation. That naive but genuine wish fueled her already burning feelings.

The existence couldn't take more slashes.

Its long nail extended as it howled. That long nail elongated rapidly and penetrated through the hero's stomach!

Maya once again flew backward, landing close to Reylin.

If he had even an ounce of strength, he would've jumped and grabbed her. Alas, all Reylin could do was watch.

Reylin didn't accept that, however.

He crawled his way toward Maya and asked, "Stop it... It's pointless... I will... negotiate with them."

His words shocked Princess Rose, who had returned to hacking the dungeon's systems. Her whole body froze, and her eyes dilated.

She couldn't believe her ears, actually.

However, Crimson Dragon was willing to negotiate with the dark matter people for his friend!

It was either this or the escape through the dungeon system!

Maya smiled faintly, "The Reylin I love is not someone who would negotiate with others. He always spits flames at others and doesn't let people have their way..."

"Love?" Reylin's heart clenched as he listened to Maya's words.

"I came here... because I knew you would die... You wouldn't negotiate with them, would you? If you died, I wouldn't be able to convey my feelings... I love you, Reylin... But don't tell big sister, okay? I don't want us to have a bad relationship!" Maya chuckled.

She bared her sword and added, "It's just a little affection! Don't think too much about it! Now that I told you about my feelings, I can start a new life!"

After those words, the hero charged at the monster.

Indeed, the monster wouldn't let them negotiate.

Even though Maya's body hurt and lost more than half of her HP, she still pushed herself to find the solution.

Alas, in her current state, one punch was enough...

That one punch slammed Maya away, and she flew past Reylin. Her body hit the wall with a loud bang, then she lifelessly dropped onto the ground.

Her sword landed near her, its tip buried within the ground.

Reylin saw Maya trembling, then her body turning into particles...

"..."

"..."

Princess Rose also stared at the dissipating specks...

She suddenly felt the doors opening before her! Although those doors had many monsters within, Princess Rose needed just one sweep of her hand to kill them all.

They were nothing compared to King Julian and his existence.

"Crimson Dragon! We can leave!" Princess Rose shouted as she approached Reylin.

He was on the ground, clenching his chest as his heart palpitated. It was an unbearable sound that drove him into a frenzy.

The tears tumbling down his cheeks erased that frenzy, however.

He stood up with Princess Rose's help, then hobbled his way toward the opened doors.

The monster and King Julian's wife disappeared by then.

King Julian's voice assailed Reylin from behind, "You took my son's life... I took your little friend's life... Your reaction tells me that she was more than just a friend, though... I couldn't be more relieved, Crimson Dragon."

That man couldn't control he summon due to Zamram's appearance. He experienced a severe backlash from that meeting between son and wife...

However, King Julian also believed that the two sins concept within Reylin would soon drive him so crazy he wouldn't be able to conduct himself around people.

Greed and Wrath.

These two concepts would kill him instead.

Reylin didn't turn around.

He went forward with tears sizzling on his cheeks and the ground.
