Chapter 668: The Angel Exterminates Demons

Chapter 668: The Angel Exterminates Demons

The tragedy in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, couldn't be hidden in the information age. The earthquake that struck the capital was so powerful its reverberations spread to neighboring Chinese provinces.

What's more, the internet signal in Seoul wasn’t entirely cut off, and many people were live-streaming when the monsters invaded the city. Such an event, occurring in the capital of a nation, was immediately known to internet users worldwide.

Unlike the mysterious events that occurred in Antarctica, South Korea had an abundance of modern equipment.

“Damn, is the Tokyo incident from three years ago going to repeat in South Korea?”

“Earth has been plagued with disasters these past few years.”

“No mysterious event is a small matter, it affects every person on Earth. We must work together to protect Mother Earth.”

“……”

“May there be no monsters in heaven, rest in peace to the victims.”

“Nonsense, if there are monsters in heaven, the world is doomed! Can’t you say something more sensible?”

“Haha, heaven is filled with beautiful angelic ladies. Monsters? They don’t exist.”

“Aren’t angels genderless? Doesn’t that make them versatile? I like that.”

“If you can talk, keep talking.”

“Can you guys stop being so perverted and disrespectful? I’ve been strictly following religious doctrines and doing good deeds daily, hoping to go to heaven when I die.”

“Sorry, I don’t believe in Christ, I believe in the Supreme One. Your beliefs don’t work on me.”

“No matter what our faith, race, skin color, or nationality, what we should all be doing now is praying for South Korea.”

“……”

“Pray for what? They brought this on themselves! The South Korean president already gave a national address, saying the disaster was caused by too many citizens worshiping false gods. The arrival of the evil god was even orchestrated by some cult leader. If they hadn’t believed in the evil god, none of this would’ve happened.”

“This mess caused by the South Koreans might drag the entire world into the grave, and you’re still blessing them? You should think about how to survive when these monsters start spreading across the globe!”

“So the Tokyo incident was just bad luck, but this time South Korea brought it upon themselves?”

The internet was filled with arguments. Some didn’t care, some prayed for South Korea, but most were ridiculing and expressing anger and fear over the chaos caused by the nation.

At first, many didn’t fully grasp the situation, but then they realized that this wasn’t just a natural disaster in some remote country. If the South Korean crisis wasn’t contained, it could mean the end of humanity.

With this realization, except for a few compassionate souls, most people began to angrily criticize.

Governments around the world were also steering public opinion, using the South Korean event as a negative example. The message was clear: do not worship evil gods. Doing so brings disaster and endangers your life.

Humans are notorious for not learning from history. While some may have jokingly believed in evil gods before, the events in South Korea showed the terrifying consequences of such faith.

Yet, the biggest lesson from history is that people often forget it. Society will always have those who are drawn to the dark, and after witnessing the power of the evil god, some may even become more devoted.

Tomato was trembling in a pile of rubble. He and his friend had hidden in a small house that was in a relatively open area, so even though the earthquake hit hard, their lives weren’t in immediate danger. His friend, however, wasn’t so lucky, as he broke a leg and was now resting, leaning against a wall.

Despite the tense atmosphere, his friend managed to joke, saying at least his "third leg" was intact, calling it a blessing in disguise.

Perhaps the earthquake wasn’t naturally caused but triggered by the monstrous burrowers using supernatural forces. This might explain why, unlike in normal tremors, the magnetic field remained stable, and signals were still strong. Tomato, the live streamer, was somehow still able to stream.

Huddled in the corner of the rubble, he trembled as he spoke tearfully into his phone, “I’m so scared right now. I miss my mom! Why do these things keep happening to me? Three years ago, I went to Tokyo and ran into monsters, and now in Seoul, I’ve run into monsters again. Next time, I’m staying home, I swear.”

“No, streamer, you have a rare talent for attracting monsters. You should keep traveling, just don’t stay in the country. What if you attract monsters here too?”

“Streamer, we live in the same city. If you dare come back, I’ll come at you with a knife.”

“Next time, go to North America. I’ll support you.”

“……”

Seeing the barrage of comments on the screen, Tomato became even more miserable, wiping his tears and snot as he said, “Guys, seeing how much I’m suffering, can’t you just give me a follow, get a membership, throw in some votes, or hit the like button?”

“You’re about to die, and you’re still thinking about this? You’re something else!”

“66666, I’ll definitely follow you next time!”

“Next time for sure!”

“Next time for sure!”

“Can you guys have some sympathy? At least send some gifts so the streamer can eat well on this journey.”

“……”

Looking at the flood of donations, Tomato suddenly felt a sense of emptiness.

Just then, a bright light flashed across the sky. He looked up in shock and saw a beautiful angel floating in the air. She radiated holiness and compassion, and as the rain of light fell, Tomato suddenly felt his sadness and fear disappear, replaced by joy and happiness. Even his friend’s broken leg was miraculously healing!

“An angel, an angel!! I see an angel! Brothers, come out and witness God!!”

Tomato suddenly screamed, not caring if his voice would attract monsters. He scrambled out of the rubble, holding his phone high to capture the beautiful angel on camera for all his viewers.

High in the sky, Sister Mirda revealed the angelic body gifted to her by Christ. She first cast a divine spell, performing a miracle to give hope to the people in the ruined city. Then, she turned her gaze toward the monsters.

Thousands of monsters suddenly focused their evil eyes on her, making Sister Mirda's whole body tremble.

I’m just an ordinary nun. I’ve never fought monsters or demons, and I’ve never even been in a fight. I’ve only ever treated the wounded. How did I end up having to destroy evil?

Though her heart was filled with righteousness and her expression was firm, deep down she was truly panicking, her heart pounding in fear.
